    This game is inexplicably being ported to Switch. The announcement trailer for this port features a gameplay snippet in which the player gets into a battle and quickly dies at the start of the game. This is then followed with the tagline "we now understand... how cruel the world can be."

    • @thomasffrench3639
      @thomasffrench3639 Před 10 měsíci +3

      Dragon Warrior is popular because it’s a solid game that was unique for it’s time before other RPGs came into console. And this game is worse than most of the other RPGs released. There were a lot of good games released on the original Famicom before the 16 bit era.

    The only thing I knew about this game is that characters age as you level up. You start with children and end with young adults, which I think is such a cool concept for a rpg that I'm saddened it's wasted on such a lame game.

    • @Supersquigi
      @Supersquigi Před 4 lety +58

      I "feel" like Final Fantasy 1 had a sort of similar idea where your characters get a 'new class' at about 2/3rds of the game but are clearly older and more experienced when you class up. Sad that they just gave up on the concept completely. Also yeah Wizardry is like that but it fking sucks because your best characters just suddenly die when you need them most.
