I got the Marin. The bike rips even with “budget” components. If it rips with cheap components imagine with “good” ones. The point is to have fun with it.

I bought Marin in June for 2100 usd, asked the bike shop to replace and send the bike with new tyres and they did it, the bike was 2050 usd, but I wanted Maxxis Minion DHF and DHR, so they replaced them and counted off the old tyres from the price. I think that for 2100 usd with these new tyres, the winner here is Marin :D

I weight 78kg/172lb and the brake power is enough for me, but I feel that sometimes more brake power would have been great, but nothing necessary. If you weight more than 90kg/200lb, I can image that the brakes won’t be enough.

I got the Marin due to the shop on post carrying them. With my discount and being tax free on post the Vitus would’ve been $500ish more

Props guys, good comparison. Grew up reading mtb action, glad to see the video production getting better too. Keep up with the good reviews!

I was subscribed to Mountain Bike magazine since 1994 but I occasionally enjoyed the occasional MBA purchased at the grocery store, now there's just you guys left 🤞

The frames look really similar almost copies of each other with slight differences.

Yeaaaa. I have the Vitus, but after watching these two side by side in this video, I was wondering who copied who 😂

I prefer 1 color and external cable routing full suspension mountain bike. Soo Vitus Mythique for me ✌🏾

If i had r said in the late 90's that in 2023 a person would be saying that a 2500 dollar US funds bike is a tight budget bike they would have thought i was nuts.

In 1998 I paid $1450 + tx (Canadian dollars) with discounts for the entry level trek Y bike with pretty crappy components, a entry level full suspension at the time. If you adjust for inflation that's pretty much the same. You could even back then go way cheaper but you usually got crap for under the price point...

I’ve ridden both and the reach felt quite a bit longer on the Mythique. Overall reach is slightly longer but then 10mm longer stem on top of that. I didn’t compare how far forward/back the seats were though so some of that could be just setup. Pedaling seemed more efficient on the Mythique. Rift Zone felt more planted to me.

They both seem like good choices in my opinion... I also vaguely remember watching in which someone said Vitus said the bike was pronounced the Mythic

What do u guys think of the VITUS RAPIDE FS CRS MOUNTAIN BIKE (SHIMANO)

  • @virginiascurti5036

The Vitus may not be around much longer given the collapse of the two ecommerce sites that are part of the sports group that owns all three along with Nukeproof as well. So Main owners(I just got one in the end may have gotten the better deal! Really what you should have put with this lot is a Norco Fluid which I agonized over getting instead of the Marin.

Is the Vitus Mythique Mountain Bike able to do jumps ok? Just starting and I want a bike that can do trails like what they are doing but also berms, jumps, step downs etc. Im going for Vitus Mythique or the Nukeproof Scout 275 Deore10 hardtail? Any inputs would be greatly helpful :D

Their both aggressive trail bikes with 140mm front and 130mm travel suspension rear. Yes they will do jumps as long as you don't go Black Diamond nuts. If thats what you want go a full Enduro bike.

That marin is on sale for 1600'sh right now. Could make it a banger for the cost they listed on it in the video. edit: it's 1600 not 1700

    • @AdventureRich
      @AdventureRich Před 7 měsíci +2

As much as I'm biased and own the Vitus, I'd say at that price, the Marin is definitely the winner!

Let's face it, if you spend a little over 2k on a fs bike you're gonna have to upgrade parts. Both are a win,win...On a side note , Vitus does have problems keeping bikes in stock.
