Referee talking with Bird and Dawkins was Darryl Garretson, he was NBA Supervisor of Officials in late 80's / early 90,'s, referee talking with Kobe is Monty McCutchen, the current supervisor. Officials that are able to communicate and diffuse go the furthest in the officiating profession.
