I think the NBA has gotten too analytical and ESPN just makes stories out of the numbers that players put up and then players get distracted. they get so caught up with trying to get high efficiency ratings, double doubles, triple doubles etc. that it becomes detrimental to the task at hand. The Goal should be Defend at all cost and score at all cost and by all means win that championship!! lol

It was really tough playing lakers in thos era. They were really talented and got every call
Ejecting sheed for intimidating aint that bad compared to Oldman Riverwalk geting ejected for laughing at the bench.
I do not think the ref was scared nor intimidated by Wallace. Wallace got that second technical because he was being extremely disrespect with the look and for an organization that has to uphold a standard of professionalism, it's unacceptable. Wallace rightfully got tossed (especially if the ref gave him 3 warnings + a delay of game warning BEFORE that second technical).

Rasheed did himself no favors throughout that series versus the Lakers - actually, beyond that too. There's a reason behind getting all those techs every season early in his career, and not all of them are called on games versus the Lakers. I like Wallace's drive and desire, but sometimes he's got a bit too much emotion and passion. That being said, he got screwed on that 2nd T for 'staring'.

Ron Garretson got no punishment because he asked Sheed several times to stop staring at him. Nothing to do with the Lakers in this case. As a referee, if a player gives any indication of attempting to intimidate you, then you must blow you whistle and assert your dominance.
