Bianca K weird, in ts3 he hadn’t been born yet. It’d be a good idea to put that in the sims 4 and make a continuation. Alexander is an elder, hiding out far away from people after publishing a controversial book about his mother being murdered. Damn I’m mad they got lazy with that one.. one could come up with so many scenarios!
skysplits Actually the theory is that Alexander time traveled^^ as well as Don Lothario is found in Riverview in the Sims 3 his bio reading “Don woke up one morning in a whole new world. He remembers stepping onto a teleporter, several women laughing, then nothing until he found himself here..” So if Don did..then why not Alexander as well? Proves that there must have been a time machine. So they thought it out a little more than you would think. 😉

skysplits Unfortunately, no. :( It has been confirmed by the Sims team that Sims 4 is set in a alternate universe. Makes me sad they got lazy like that. I’m hoping if there is a Sims 5 they continue or finish the storylines

I keep track of memories for my generations family by having sims in the family take pictures in game when something special happens and hang them on the wall. Then when that generation moves on I hang all the pictures in the family restaurant to look back on later. Not the same but still kinda fun

Bella Goth holds a special place in my heart. The first time I loaded up the Sims 1 ever as a kid, I skipped the tutorial and loaded straight into the Goth family. Bella ran into the house and immediately started trying to cook at the stove. Of course, she had no cooking skill so she started a fire and burned to death. As a little kid, this was traumatic (especially after I'd just spent an agonising 4 hours installing this game I had been wanting forever). I cried and turned off the computer without saving. My sims were almost never allowed stoves in their house after that and had to live on salad. 💁🏻♀️ After that experience, I always look after Bella in any way I can.

When my mum and I first played Sims 1, Bella Goth got stuck to our family's floor when visiting and died. We never got to play with her because her urn was just by our door the whole time.

I always saw the sims 4 as a universe that Bella goth ended up in after getting abducted and she's trying to act normal whilst figuring out how she got there :/

If The Sims 4 was apart of this timeline it wouldn’t make sense because Cassandra is a young adult and Mortimer isn’t an elder so it would be before she was abducted. Also Nina and Dina’s mother is still alive so yes it would be before.
In the sims 3 there's a book written by Alexander "Where's Bella?"
Aliens are a good answer to Bella's disappearance but I am sure there's much more to it. There are lots of hints of Goths time traveling along the games.

It could be the effects of Alex somehow being in sims 3 (see: where is Bella? By Alexander goth or murder in pleasant view by Alexander goth) and the effect of that? Like how things changed because Alex wrote those books, or the disappearance never happening
Alternate time lines can be a lazy excuse, don't get me wrong, and I wouldn't put it past EA, but sims 4 being nothing like the other games (not same story, diff traits, etc) could be a direct effect of Alex
I have a theory and it's because Bella Goth.
Remember the theory that Bella Goth was abducted by aliens? Well, I think the aliens are the creators of the game, because Bella knew they were controlling her, so they kidnapped her, erased all her memories, and put her in a new simulation, like a reboot.

Random fact, there’s an interview with Bella on the sims 2 official website, and it says in it that she is seeing a hypnotist to help her regain her memory, and that she’s starting to remember her family and how much she loves them. I used to spend hours on the sims wiki and reading all the memories and backstories of all the sims. This is why I love sims 2! There’s so much story options!
I think the biggest thing I learned from this video is that Cassandra is innocent in all of this and needs to be talked about more.

I have an idea: Why don't you play an alternate version of Bella Goth when Strangerville is released? It is canon that she's been abducted by aliens and ended up in Strangertown then died in Lunar Lakes so what if you played a version of Bella Goth that went through that adventure rather than the Bella in Sims 4? Or you can look into one of my favorite Sims mysteries, Lolita Goth (reference: Chrillsims3)

@@Plumbella I thought it would be fun to see an alternate version of Bella that's been saddened or hardened (depending on which way you want to go. Gloomy trait vs. Hotheaded trait) and see how sad it would be for her to see a version of herself and her family that's actually happy. I'm also looking forward to seeing how you redesign her. Like maybe through all her bad experiences her style leans more towards punk-goth or looks a little more grunge-y. I thought this idea offered a lot of storytelling avenues that you could take advantage of and give your own twist to it.

I think, when Bella got abducted by Aliens she was held captive for experimentation, and then when the Sims colonized Lunar Lakes (Lunar Lakes is a moon of a planet in the Sims Universe) the Aliens dropped her on that world because her folk was there, and from that point had to continue her life without her family. There's also an NPC on the world named Mathilda Goth, so perhaps she found a new husband and had a new family.
If she remarried she wouldn't be a Goth anymore.

Such drama keeps some Sims fans playing the games. That is why there's appeal in Strangeville as well. There's a lot of deep lore in those Townies and even the pre-built lots.
If you take a step back and look at the grand scheme of things, it's actually quite plausible. If Dina married Michael, he probably talked about his sister Bella, and how she married his friend Mortimer who is rich. So Dina waited for Michael to die as to not raise suspicion of her cheating, then started making moves on Mortimer with Nina. But they probably didn't arrive in town to meet Mortimer until the eve of Bella's disappearance. My guess is that they had a part in Bella's disappearance because they didn't want her messing with Don and being around when they tried to marry Mortimer. Now, this is where it gets CRAZY. On top of all of this, Don is also connected to Kaylynn Langerak, his maid, because she is a love interest. Kaylynn is connected to the Pleasants, because Daniel (Not Jeff, my bad!) Pleasant woohooed with Kaylynn. The Pleasants also connect with the Brokes because Angela is dating Dustin Broke. And it ALSO connects to the Dreamer family, because Angela's sister Lilith is dating Dirk. The Pleasents connect BACK to the Goths with Mary Sue knowing Cassandra. Back to Dirk Dreamer, his father, Darren, has a crush on Cassandra, and will usually fall in love with her if they have a romantic interaction. These are all the relationships I could think of off of the top of my head.

No sims 4 fits nowhere wince it's own separate timeline. If we say that TS4 is before TS2 than how do we explain Don living with Dina and Nina and their mother. And than in TS2 he is dating both of them
@@user-td6pq9fj3b The family description for the Calientes in Sims 4 flat out states that it used to just be Katrina and her girls until she let her younger boy toy move in to mooch off them, and speculates about whether or not he'll be able to remain faithful to her, or if he'll start getting some side action with her daughters.

I played the sims 2 slot as a kid and I vaguely remember thinking how weird it was that she was missing, but didn't think much of it because I was a child lol. I loved playing in strangetown and was usually playing a sim in that town whenever I played, and I remember seeing bella goth there and thought oh there she is! But I don't think I really cared enough about the mystery itself because again, I was a child playing the sims 2. If only I paid more attention! Lol
Cynthia Valencia I obsessively tried to find ways to get her back, including making a sim to befriend her in stranger town then moving their house into the gallery with them in it, putting it in pleasant view then realized she has no memory and no family tree so reintroducing to her family was pointless. I was sooo sad

@@misspeaches1144 Yeah, I found out that even after I got her back to pleasantview and introduced her to Mortimer, he then had two Bellas in his memories. The other Bella was a totally different sim, as far as the game was concerned.

A fun thing is that the bella goth in strangetown does not match the model of pleasentview bella, i believe its the eye color and skin tone that are different
Ive seen theories that strangetown bella is actually like an alien sent down as her but theres no proof of that
Rikkity what if it was the alien’s attempt at cloning a version of Bella but that was the result they got? A clone that looked different from the original Bella Goth
I think the theory that Bella Goth could’ve time travelled or potentially dimension jumped is fascinating to me so I like to believe it. It’s not an impossible theory because in the sims 3 Riverview (the free store world) you can find Don Lothario and his bio says that he time traveled and what not; so I’ve always made the connection that Don very well could’ve disappeared like Bella did later on in the time line.
Plus, sims3 has TWO expansions allowing time-travel. Ambitions has an inventor build one -- (it's a rabbit-hole but you can go to the past) and then there's Sims into the Future that pretty much centers around the idea. Aliens and witches may also play a role here.
I loved the huge backstories and backgrounds to the townies in the sims 2 , such as the Goths, Ophelia and her aunt , Romeo and Juliet. I miss that, hopefully it will make a return :)

When i was little i remember having this theory that since the caliente sisters are half alien and we kind of got a hint that perhaps they had some involvement with bellas disappearance, the aliens that abducted bella were maybe their relatives

A lot of people may not remember but, in the Sims 2 on PSP, it was all about finding out why there were weird things happening in Strangetown and revealing secrets. When you first get there, you go into a diner and you see Bella Goth crying because she couldn't remember her family or how she got there but she was hiding from the aliens. The only thing she knew was that she liked chocolate. The home where she was living at in that version of Strangetown was being haunted by 3 ghosts. In the game she reveals some secrets. One of them was that she was abducted by aliens and another was that she didn't really love Mortimer and only married him for his money. My theory is that she was abducted and placed in an alternate universe of Strangetown.
Played The Sims 2 so much that while playing the game, the Aliens brought back Bella Goth. She was abducted by the Aliens. LMAO

has anyone noticed that in the sims 3 sunset valley in bella bachelor's (goth) house on the balcony outside her room the only thing on it is a telescope. And if you choose to play as the goths in sunset valley, when it loads the only thing mortimer has in his inventory is the Where's Bella? book

I remember being fascinated by Bella in the Sims 2, and I do remember seeing that she was alive but missing and thinking that was weird. I didn't (and still don't really) like desert worlds so I rarely played in Strangetown but when I did, I still remember the moment I saw Bella there and desperately tried to work out how to send her home (which you couldn't do.... god the trauma is still there ksdjfhsd). I moved her into my house and everything to keep an eye on her I was so concerned about her.
I found it so interesting though that the Caliente sisters are part alien!!!! They were some of my favourite Sims to play as when I was little and maybe at one time I saw the family tree but didn't understand what it meant so when you said that my mind = blown. Wow

How is the alien abduction just a "theory" when in Mortimer's memories it literally said she has been abducted by aliens? Plus I once met her in Strangetown back when I played The Sims 2. I talked to her and wanted to make her come back to Mortimer but she just left after our conversation and never appeared again.

Rewatching this after hearing that a sim guru confirmed that Bella was supposed to have been abducted & appear in Strange Town instead. but the game glitched and she didn't show up so they just rolled with it. Love how spot on you were and the details of your investigation! ❤️

Loved this! Definitely do one for the Landgraabs. I played the sims 3 on ps4 and only really got into the sims with sims 4 so I know nothing about these backstories that some families have.

I’ve played since sims 2 and I always just thought all these characters were randomly generated to fill out the towns. You and you alone have got me interested in all these stories now I’m going down a rabbit hole of all your videos explaining back stories and I LOVE IT!!
I have a theory...I remember in strangervillege, in sims 4, the alien plants made people go insane and they started saying "OUR MOTHER LOOKS LOVELY IN RED" and kept saying how beautiful she was. Bella has bell which means beautiful and the fact that the plants made people say how lovely "mother" looks in red might mean that the aliens might of did some freaky experiment with Bella's dna and produced it in another dimension which is the alternate one of sims 4...

Bella is a secret agent in TS4, which is supposed to be the period of time before she vanished in TS2, maybe she went on a super secret mission to investigate what was going on in Strangetown and something went wrong...maybe she was kidnapped by the mad scientist with the Caliente sisters assistance and had her memories erased
Love Bella. She is and has been my favorite since 2000 as well. If they do something to wrap up her story I would love it!!!!! Thanks for the theories; they definitely are good ones.

Hi so a LONG time ago when I still played with sims 2 townies i played the goth house and I don't remember if I was at their house or Don's but Bella came back, she was dropped by a spaceship at the front door. Idk if anyone ever got that event happening but it did to me. Basically she didn't died, she was kidnapped by aliens. I can't believe no one has ever mentioned this yet so i just thought I'd put it out there.
(edit) i just saw a fan made vid about her returning the way i just explained but it's fake, but i swear it legit happened in my game. it was a long time ago but i remember it happening. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I wish Sims 4 was like 25 years later or something. And the mystery for simmers can be solved if they look deep enough. They could have included some red herrings. Like a dead body they thought was bella being found and the mystery in the sims universe being ”solved” it was an accident. But in actuality it was just an impostor and cassandra never accepted the fact that her mother died in that accident as it would be out of her character or something. So she enters the science career to find the answers. (Cough aliens cough)

I love this video & your channel so much! I started playing Sims when TS3 came out, so I didn't really know any of the lore or backstories of the important/well-known families. But since digging and learning more (especially with Strangerville coming out) its inspired me to play a Goth family legacy in my Sims 4 game!
