LCO works works better for me and makes more sense logically
I agree because most oils are a sealant and putting a sealant on and then adding more moisture does that make sense. Because it's not getting in the hair strand.
Agreed. Ive been natural for 10 years and have been a die hard loc method kinda gal....but last week for the first time I tried lco....never going back.
Same. The minute I learned that oil was to be used as a sealant for moisture, I started using it last.
Yass!! Like if you perfer LCO method and comment if you prefer LOC method
LOC ❤
Just Kanya I try loc Methode a lot for my hiph porosity but never work. Now i do LCO Methode
Joyce Amour I prefer loc method too...it's better that way
Sacko Fatoumata all the way sis💫
Did you notice any difference in moisture retention as a week went on?
okay i love the video but are we going to ignore how freaking beautiful she is💕💕
Aw thank you 💕
definitely prefer the LCO method. I have low porosity hair.
Me too!
This is a great experiment. More naturals should do this bc lowkey I feel like a lot of people, even youtubers, have their porosity wrong and are doing the wrong method for their hair
I prefer the LCO method. Thats what i have been doing for years. It makes more sense to me🤷🏾♀️
you're so pretty omg!
Thank you!
Hair came out beautiful ! I use the LCO method 😊
First person i see on here with the same exact texture as mines. New sub! Great demonstration by the way.
Great video! TFS and thanks for the comparison. To me your LOC side looked better-less frizz and just a smidge shinier at the roots and your curls popped more during application on LOC side as well, to me.☺ However, it's your hair and you can feel it and we only see it on video. I recently tried LOB-forgot to use my liquid leave-in but hair was wet so L was water, O was extra dark JBCO, and B was shea butter. When I took my hair down to braid it 3 days later, some pieces were still damp which NEVER happened before. That's how well the LOB method sealed in the moisture.
Thats what i do to. Idk why i had stopped, been doing it for the past few weeks andits the most moisturized and soft my hair has been in a while even without deep conditioning. I make my own herbal oil blend, hair spritz and shea butter mix. Works better that than any twisting butter.
It depends on what I'm doing. I usually just use a leave in only sometimes I'll add a cream. Don't use oils most time.
This video was so satisfying btw!! It relaxed me...
My dear Akua I love the colour on the tip of your hair how did you do it plssss. Tutorial
I prefer what I call the LCOC Method I use two creams or in my case a creamy whipped homemade butter after my oil is applied. It gives me extra moisture that lasts. When I seal this way I usually don't have to re-moisturize for 5 to 6 days and my ends don't dry out. Only thing is my hair is weighed down a bit more but always super defined.
Your hair looks great with both methods though. Loved the vid Queen ♥
Oh that's interesting, I think I might try that as well, thanks
AllThat Jazz I usually wear my hair in twist when its not in a long term protective style. I use a water based leave in on wet hair, shea butter mix I make, a oil blend and then a twist cream. I guess this would be a LCOC? I don’t touch my hair all week when I do this. What do you use for the other cream and the L?
@@HealthyGemini I use a cream based styler as my first C after I've applied Aloe Vera Juice for my L. And I usually will wear twists as well for about 2 days then take them down.
AllThat Jazz Do you mix the aloe Vera juice with water?
@@HealthyGemini I use to mix it two parts AVJ to one part water, because it was a bit harsh to my hair (it would feel a bit less moisturized after I sprayed on the Aloe Vera Juice), but recently I've started to use it on its own. My hair seems to love it now.
I LOVE how you use gloves. I have really sensitive damaged hands so this is a great idea!
Heeeeeyyy giirrrrll! First like! Lol love you and your hair😍😍😍
Thank you!
Nice experiment . Love the video. 😍
But y did u use gloves?
Love the makeup in this video 😍

💕
UMMMMM THOSE LASHES SUS 😩😩 Yass

if you reply to this message, i will be very happy. please what camera and light did you use for this video. and what software did you use for the voice over? your voice is very clear.. tnx so much
I really didn't see a difference. I use the LOC method. Thanks for the video, it was helpful in letting me know it's not much of a difference
Thank you, if LOC works for you stick to it x
What kind of liquid and oil did you use?
Loved this video but it would been better if you stated what vyou were using
I try loc Methode a lot for my hiph porosity but never work. Now i do LCO Methode
I think the right side of your head came out better - the LOC method. The curls seemed a bit shinier and the ends are defined. The left side - the LCO method looked a little frizzier and less shiny/defined. While both sides may have been equally soft and moisturized - the right side definitely came out looking like first day hair while the left came out looking like day 2. Funny how changing the order of the products can have such a different effect. Thanks for this comparison. I need to do this on my own hair to see what the difference is. I think every natural should try both methods just to see which one their hairs responds to best.
Her hair is high porosity, may be that's why the LOC Method works for hair😊
You are so gorgeous 😍
I love the LCO method to give me the best moisture
Great video.... quick question please
What products did you use to color your hair??
Thank you! I used joico colour intensity in magenta and amethyst
Your makeup is 👌🏿☺️. The glow Racheal ✨

Hi just found your channel and really love you! great video and Yah Bless you to know him in Yashua's name.
Girrrlll what mascara did you use on your bottom lashes for them to be looking this long?👀 Loved the video btw ! 💕
Thank you! It was barry m feature length mascara
what products can I use for a natural hair that has dandruff
Try an acv rinse. There are lot's of videos on how to do it
The LCO made sense from the get go. I also feel like my hair is moisturized even after two days without product- after using the LCO. To be fair, I haven’t tried the LOC so it’s not really a great analysis 😂
Does (L)iquid..the same as leave in or liquid meaning water ?
Either or
can you make a video on why you wear gloves?
Maybe she doesn't like oily/dirty hands
She doesn’t like the feeling of wet hair
@Mampho Ledimo
In my opinion...gloves offer better control, slip, protect your hands (especially when using hair dyes or henna) and most importantly don’t allow your nails to snag your hair. Good day to you...
@miranda okon I totally agree
Great video btw but those lashes👀 where did you get them from?
Thank you! I got them from AliExpress
TheGlovedNatural you look lovely with or without them tho
Hey just asking which kind of 4type are you because we have the same but dont know exactly...hope you see this

Hi beautiful am just loving your hair... What is loc and lco
She explained it in the video
@@nothingheard I didn't watch video....I just went straight into the comment box
@@vivianmubita5081 That is a common mistake that I suggest you avoid repeating next time.
Am new to the natural hair thing so I need information
@@vivianmubita5081 then just watch the video seen as you already clicked on it...then you'll get some information
You are cute
Why do you wear gloves??
Claire I use gloves too. It helps you finger detangle without snags.
Okay so I dum, Please tell me what the intial method mean? LOC vs LCO?
loc stands for liquid, oil and cream. You apply them to your hair in that order to retain moisture. But some people find applying it in an lco way is better
@@RachealAkua, Oh okay, I got it! well, I have been doing the LOC because doing the oil last my hair is all was frizzies. Any tip for short hair twist outs?
Are all african Americans youtubers now?? Just wondering... nice video though
I’m from the uk
