I’ve honestly never seen someone with hair exactly like mine
Right
Omg same like exactly!!!
I find it ridiculous how I’m over 5 years being natural and I still don’t know how to work with my hair. Ever time I think I’m doing some good It turns out to be different later.
Don't worry, there's no rush, you have all the time in the world to experiment . You'll figure out what works for your hair eventually.
Kiya L. I felt this girl I’m over 7 years naturally and I’m just now figuring this out! I’ve literally cut my hair once a year. Just cut a huge portion again and I hope I can maintain moisture and growth finally. I’m tired of starting over. Good luck on your journey
MyLifeAsTee hi 👋🏽, a hair steamer has helped me with moisture retention, vegetable glycerin at the last step of rinsing my hair. Sometimes I add honey to my deep conditioner for more moisture too. Every 2 days I use avocado oil on my hair and this has helped my ends. I hope these tips are helpful 😊
One tip that has been a game changer, if your schedule permits, do a mid-week co- wash. I redo my hair every 2 days and this has significantly changed my hair.
TheGlovedNatural dont lose hope ❤️
Omg finally someone with my hair texture and curl pattern
I see the new name sis! Curls more defined than a dictionary
😂 Thank you x
@@RachealAkua you're welcome I just don't have a good relationship with gel because of the flakes it gives just for definition
omg, the evenness of your sun-kissed skin tone is beautiful. Literally, the light hit every angle of your face and I saw nothing but smoothness.
Your. skin. wow. 🙌🏾
Thank you! Even though my skin is in real need of some tlc
Tbh your hair is more of 4a/4b texture imo but it’s not my hair so I don’t really have a say
😅 I should probably just put type 4 in the title since I'm not 100% sure about my texture
@@RachealAkua that's more accurate really, you have a combination of the type 4 curls
I’ve had braids for 2 months now and this video makes me wanna take them out and wash my hair. I miss it 😕
Love the thickness of you’re hair....
Im going to try this see if my hair loves it. Thanks for sharing
Love this!! Definitely gotta this this! My hair is so dry and nothing seems to wlrk. Hopefully this does.
Your complexion is so beautiful!!!
Thank you!
Girl you did that. Absolutely beautiful and you have beautiful skin as well!
Thank you!
To help with shrinkage you can stretch your hair by grasping the ends, stretching your hair and using a blowdryer to dry mostly the roots and middle of each part.
I'll try that, thanks :)
Just like my hair, easily defined with product, looks thick but it isn't. Doesn't dry flat but I wish it did. I'm going to have to try these products!
Great tip on the mousse and frizz for volume in low density hair. I really appreciate that! I'll have to try it out someday. I always see everyone using gel and I don't want to
Glad it was helpful!
Love your curl pattern 😍
OK, but you have PERFECT hair to start with!!!
Wow we actually have the same hair type. I love your hair btw it's so beautiful ❤️
Your hair is so pretty!!!!!
I'm watching this video ..and I'm like OMG she has my hairrrrrrr. its not as long ...but yeah...
I cut my color off in April or may and one thing I totally forgot about was the way short curly hair works against gravity. I enjoyed the look of curls draping past my shoulders for so long. Now it’s like... a rose bush when it’s completely dried. Learning to embrace how much rounder my face looks with it while this stage lasts lol
I love that curl cream and leave in 💗
I love that line😍😍😍 Curls popping
It's amazing! Thanks 😁😁
Gorgeous!
I love the pop of color. It’s amazing. I would give thrive method a try. Thank you for sharing 😊
Thank you! And you’re welcome x
Love the new name! ❤️ and your hair’s gorgeous as always ☺️ have you tried flaxseed gel? It’s lighter like mousse. It doesn’t ‘clump’ the hair like other gels, but it does give all over definition with individual curls so I have more volume on the first day. It’s different from other gels. I like the way it feels on hair in comparison to eco styler, plus it’s an amazing detangler!
Thank you! And it sounds good, haven't tried it yet but I'm definitely going to look into it now
I love your thickness and curl pattern. It looks more 4a than anything else. So beautiful ❤
Thank you!
The thing about wash & go’s on this hair type is that u have to use a lot of product and it looks defined at first but then it dries and sometimes flakes ... sighs😒 my hair is like this
Shaiyino Mendoza my hair always flakes... idk what to do
Yeah that’s the thing like it will dry up real quick can we get a 2 days later
I love your videos ! Your hair always looks so nice 😍😍
Thank you!
Beautiful hair
Wow hair goals 😍😍😍
Thanks Esther!
Yes another no gel needed natural lol. My hair looks like yours 4a with some 4b. I use defining cremes for my Wash and go styles, no gel for my hair. I only use gel sometimes to brush my hair up into a puff. Gel makes my hair real crunchy the creme works way better to me. I wanna try to use mousse too. I only did a wash and go twice, I personally do like em too much because my hair looks like a Jheri Curl when it's defined lol. It's cute on you chick 😊 Love your hair!
Thank you! Yeah I totally prefer curl defining cremes because I'm not looking for super definition
This is crazy but I don't know my hair type lol
I also do not use gels I don’t like it for some reason. I use only a leave in a cream and oil that’s all. It gets frizzy in about 3-4 days . And I refresh. I heard the texture ID styling cream is good. Especially for type 4 hair. Im gonna try it for myself and find out! 😌👏😁
I wish texture Id was available in the uk 😩 I really want to try it
Beautiful.
Thank you!
Girl, your hair is dense as you have a full head of hair you must probably have fine strands (cuz I’m the same). Loved the video btw! 💕
Thank you!
Look into that Felicia Leatherwood brush. It won’t come apart and works the same.
I'd love to get it but its not available in the UK 😔
Beauty
I just had to subscribe 💕
Thank you!
But yeah!! ❤️
I heard of the LOC method & I always thought liquid meant like water I didn’t know leave in conditioner counted . I’ve been using that as my cream
I know her hair isn't tough. That brush is just wicked😂
Your Afro is beautiful 😍on you!
Thank you x
🙌🏽😊
Loved the outcome!
Hair Goals😍✨!
What camera do you use?
Thank you! I use a canon 700d
Hey new to the natural team and I love it. My hair is kinda in just a fro I know I have curls but I don’t know how to make it last and stay any time ? How did u define yours . If you would respond I would greatly appreciate it , thanks sm❤️
Heyy 👋🏾 I just did an updated wash and go video, that might help you x
Your hair is beautiful and pop of color is cute. Have you notice a major difference in growth since big chop compared to your transition. I hope it’s not confusing
Thank you! I think my hair is growing at a steady rate, I haven't seen a big increase in growth since my big chop unfortunately 😪
@@RachealAkua I beg to differ, hope you don't mind. The previous video I watched to this one was your twist out 4 months ago. There is an obvious growth difference there. Sometimes we need other people to notice our hair growing.
@@vrai6219 haha its funny how other people can see growth but I can't
Glad im not the only one whom wear gloves
Wow, so many people think it's weird lol. Glad there's another person who uses gloves
how did you customize your denman brush? love your hair
Thanks! The brush part is detachable, you can take the bristles out
Yes I love the end results and that it still has body
Thank you!
how did it take for your hair to grow that length
What do wear on your head when you sleep? All my product gets on my pillow or in my bonnet.
A satin bonnet keeps moisture
Would you please try this with Mielle Organics twisting souffle??
I’ll add it to my list of things to try x
How do you sleep with your hair? I don’t know how to set my hair after I do it. Like I understand you just did it but then did you just put a bonnet over it or did you section it and went to bed?
I just put a bonnet on, I didn’t section it x
Your results turned out really good! I really want to try a Mouse for my Wash n Go and see how it works for me! I don't have a problem using Gels in my hair though because l don't use hard Gels, l tend to use Gels that are moisturizing or have medium hold but still gives me very good definition! I hate crunch! TFS!
Thank you! Which gels would you recommend?
TheGlovedNatural I recommend the Eco Curl and Wave because it has medium hold and no matter how many times l use it, there are no flakes! Very good Gel for my texture!
TheGlovedNatural Eco Styler
Did you wash out
Please explain how you dried overnight? Bonnet? Air dried before? Also how do you stretch? I always lose definition when I stretch?
Love the idea of mousse. Think I'll try that. Also, why do you wear gloves?
Subscribing.
Yep, I just put my bonnet on and went to bed, it wasn't completely dry though. I do the banding method to stretch my hair, yeah I prefer that or a heavy curling cream. And I wear gloves mainly to protect my nails, but i hate the feeling of shed hair and products on my hands anyway. Thanks for subbing ❤
@@RachealAkua I have a very similar hair type to yours. When I stretch using the banding method it makes my hair clump together and u have to use a hair dryer to get it to separate or water? Could this be due to the use of gel?
I just subscribed! I think you have hair like mine. I'll be trying your techniques because my hair is so hard and crunchy, lots of small coils throughout . It just doesn't hang like I thought it would and it's not soft at all. I will work with what I have though.
Thank you! Mine doesn't hang either, I had to just accept it. Yep work with what you have, it's unique to you x
Get a Felicua Leatherwood Brush
They're not available in the uk :(
Where did you buy the brush from
My local hair shop, but it's available on Amazon
Why do you use gloves? Just curious
I’ve always wondered 🤣
I love your hair how many months of growth is this?
8 months 😭
How do you sleep with your hair like that? Do you sleep with just a bonnet and wake up and just shake your hear? I'm asking because I can't never seem to get my hair back right the next morning 🤣🤣
Your hair is beautiful and shiny💖
Thanks! I let it air dry for a bit and then I literally just threw the bonnet on and went to sleep lol. Sometimes I'll do the banding method to stretch it
How do you preserve this style at night?
I just throw my bonnet on and refresh it with some water in the morning
low density..... I am confusion -.-
What row denman do you use?
I think there’s 5 rows
Hi, what color and brand did you use? Thanks
Mofajang - red
Thanks so much.
Just curious as to why you do your hair with gloves on?
Initially it was to protect my hands and nails but now its also because I don't like the feeling of shed hair and products on my hands
@@RachealAkua thanks for responding
How did you sleep on it ?
I literally just threw a bonnet on and slept on it after it was 70% dry
is your hair type 4 consisting of types 4a,b,c ??
Yep, all 3 😂
Why do you wear gloves? I wear gloves too but it’s because I have eczema on my hands 😅
😂 I hate wet hands and shed hair
Also, washing hair with gloves has great benefits! It saves products and time! It is easier & faster for me to detangle my hair & apply masks. :)
You too!? 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
That’s true! When I was actually able to use my hands vs using gloves, the gloves glide through my hair easier and my nails won’t get caught on my hair either lol.
@@RachealAkua Yes! It saved my life! Because, i struggle a lot with detangling (i still, but less)😭 and a youtuber (Neki Cakes) told me that it would help me and Indeed it did!😍
Buy a wooden brush
am i crazy or i didnt see the products you used?? lol
