We all know that it's scripted but they just can't nail it the same way the trio did.
It aint bad, but it all looks so more scripted then before. With set-up lines they have to say. Getting close to an American "reality" show.
They should ditch the old format and do their own thing. It feels like microwave lasagna trying to be a real homemade one more and more.
Agreed 100% with this. It was always scripted. But the trio was way better at pretending it wasnt.
I love Matt Leblanc, and this IS funny, but it doesn't feel like TopGear, I guess me and many many many others grew up with the Trio, because they were running for so long, so it is impossible to replace really.
I do not know what you mean by American Reality show. I have seen real footage of American repo men sneaking 747's out of airports with nobody noticing. Keys in ignition, hole in gate etc.
To be fair the grand tour feels alot more scripted than old top gear too. I still enjoy it, but starting to feel that they had lightning in a bottle before.

This doesn’t deserve the name top gear, we all miss the non-scripted, BRITISH, Top Gear.
Waaaaaaaaw! 30 seconds till it reached a wooden Matt before I paused the video. The rest of the video was like a news documentary.
If this was filmed with the old boys, Clarkson would have avoided manual labor, paid May and Hammond to load up the tuk tuk, driven the vehicle though and a lot of poo would have shot out all the way to the bottom.
If we loose this race , it's loading skills I would blame. 😂😂😂
