Any man that abuses a woman or a child.....well of course is no man...but holy crap I'd cheer on the woman that fought back and kicked his ass in return. Especially if I was friends or a relative of that woman I'd join in with her on beating that guy. Every woman should learn self defense -- I encourage it greatly. I know some will say "that's why I got a gun"...which is good to have too...but I believe well rounded self defense means you can handle a gun well but you also are trained so you aren't defenseless without a weapon either.
U are right sir. Even though a gun can be taken away ( I had a 25 automatic, that was taken from me during the fight, I knew how to quickly switch it to "safety" because I knew he could take it from me b4 I could grab it. But a hard punch in the throat & a good Swift kick in the nuts does the trick too. I know. It gave me a chance to get help b4 he killed me. I practice shooting a bigger gun. All I know is that it looks like a cops gun with a kick. It doesn't fit in my purse, but it fits nicely under my pillow. (safety on) LOL.
I hate it when the videos are about abusing cause it connects to the song. It makes me want to cry.

Erika Aquino The lyrics are about a person who took upon themselves something heavy to protect someone else. If you take the lyrics and in your mind see the soldiers who are marching to go serve. or even Christ in his passion. yes there still would be pain but it will shift it to something else besides the abuse that triggers flashbacks for you. shift it make it happen . Sharon's voice is too beautiful to be connected to pain. they did it to raise the flag and bar of awareness and response because there are some who watch this and it doesn't bother them.

It's not being biased. Its having faith in something. Sure you believe in something yourself, and this is something I believe. I was simply stating my opinion. Everyone makes mistakes, therefore everyone deserves another chance, that's where forgiveness comes in.
It wasn't murder; it was protection and therefore justice. How can a man do that? Propose, have a child and then beat them both :( so sad

I think this is a general thing happening in songs: the lyrics are not pronounced as in normal conversation, but in such a way that the artists/composer thinks it fits nice in the song. Furthermore, the artist/singer, in this case Sharon den Adel, is not a native speaker of English, but Dutch, like me :D I think she makes this "mistake" on purpose for the good of the song though. She sings "When lies turn into truth", without (clearly) using the last "th"-part (as fas as I can hear it).

Windia Nata well she killed a man while he was drinking coffee, that she made, she poisoned him. He was not coming at her or currently in the process of raping or killing her, so you can't justify that as self defense. In a legal standpoint anyways.. You can call her a hero though but while he was a abusive dick, he wasn't trying to kill her. This is also set in the 1800s where women were not allowed to work and had to obey the man. Just a fact

I've spent about 12 years being told I was such a horrible, crazy person and I've spent 6 of those years trying to make amends for things that aren't even my fault, so at some point you gotta just take a step back and say "is this person really worth it?" I mean... it actually makes me sicker to fight with him. (I have an illness where anger's really bad for me.)
this reminds me of my friend. she was getting bullied and a girl told her to shoot herself. I would do anything for my friends. so I stood up to the girl and we both got in trouble. now my friend tells me she hates me for getting involved. I don't care as long as she is safe.
