Artemiev had some big wins and is a gentleman among the super GM's, I hope we see more of him with the best.
absolutely right, i wish him all the success
Most people, if they had the talent of Artemiev, would be wide walking all day long. But Artemiev is such a humble gentleman. Try to be like him and teach your kids to behave like him. He’s a class act.
Yeah he's an absolute chess genius. Certainly world champion caliber. Excited to continue to see his development.
I’ve never heard this phrase “wide walking” before. I like it :)
he is a greatly person
Defending like that with 5 seconds against one of the very best blitz players in the world and then going for the counter attack and eventually making Hikaru resign is really impressive. And always a gentleman and always a firm handshake.
Artemiev is underrated as hell
Actually, his rating is pretty high already.
I believe he was top 10 in classical a few years ago
@@LordElwe And top 10 right now in Blitz. Everybody knows he's a serious customer when it comes to speed chess.
He's been my favourite player since 2020, love his playing style.
bro this ain't wrestling, wtf do you mean underrated
absolute gentleman, nothing but respect for artemiev
Artemiev always cool. Naka frustration is understandable. He is fighting for the top spot very hard. Instead of an easy half point, he gained nothing for the risk he took. Bravo for both players
I love how Artemiev is not under pressure, He’s really good at managing of time.
Men of honor like Artemiev make chess worthwhile.
The same cannot be said for other players.
In Spain it is said, "en la mesa y en el juego se conoce al caballero”. And Artemiev has shown it.
Well done
Actually it could be said for other players
Very good defence by Artemiev in time trouble
Artemiev always a class act
The more i watch Artemiev the more I like him. True gentleman and great GM!
Artemiev seems like a kind, gentle soul, that seems very rare these days.
Jestem pod wielkim wrażeniem kultury i skromności Artemieva. Absolutna klasa. Super gość.
Tye way artemiev greets his opponent (getting up and shaking hands) shows his obedience.. hands off to him
Hold Hikaru would have pouted and possibly shed a tear. New and improved streaming Hikaru gives a solid bro-slap handshake and congratulates his opponent on a game well fought.
Was a hater of Naka for years...but his gesture at the end has done 180 on me. Even though Naka is super competitive, he showed being a good sportsman is more important than the result. Class Act Naka A+ score.
Man he is gentle and over-over underrated
Yes, Artemiev is a class act. He keeps the right decorum in the game of chess, which has always been considered to be a gentleman's sport.
After forcing the queen’s trade and Hikaru basically resigned, Artemiev in an act of chivalry offered a draw and put both kings on e4 and e5! He knew that Hikaru was fighting for the top spots. However, Hikaru very politely declined the offer, as he knew that objectively speaking with two pawns down he was lost against a player of the class of Artemiev. He said: « No it’s fine you won the game ». That is also very classy on Hikaru’s part. Many other GMs would have accepted the draw.
Congrats to both player for their excellent spirit.
Bruh e4 already has the woman
??? Artemiev didn't offer a draw lol, why would he, he won fair and square
More than a great player, a great human being.
70% chance he supports the Ukraine war, so you're most likely wrong.
@@theNetworkCH it's none of your business at all.
@@egorzhigulin4679 Standing up against psychopathic leaders like Putin is everyone's business.
@@theNetworkCH Hey, let’s not bring up politics🤫
@@theNetworkCH Also, how do you know how he feels? Honestly it’s sad that’s the first thing you think of.
Class as always
That was pretty heartwarming tbh
Superb one by artemiev. True gentleman.
A breathtaking counterattack at the end by Artemiev!
Why did hikaru resign? How was he in a loss position?
@@abdelrahmanessam3790Artemiev has two unopposed pawns after forced Queen change it’s a win obviously
@@skan4252 Did chess get a new patch? Are they playing with League of Legends champions on the board?
Good player and gentleman this Artemiev !
Artemiev the best❤
9:51 sick beat 😂🤣😂
After watching hari vs nepo..this piece washed my eyes😍
We need more top class chess players with attitude like artemiev.
Artemiev what and a player and a gentleman,if only they were all like him.
This is why GM Artemiev is one of my favorite players.
Artemiev is the finest man in this tournament.
Fabi, Wesley, Artemiev, MVL, Levon are some of the good and nice players 🥲😭
Ding Liren

i'll include ding and nihal on this list

Amazing game! Artemiev is my favourite player when it comes to individual characteristics.
the most humble chess player out there!
Artemiev is a class act 👍🎯
Took my heart ❤️ Artemiev
He's such a sport and also soo underrated
since when topson started playing chess?
Sagar bhai make interview artevimie soo humble person
Good player
artemiev, win or lose my fave player
Gentleman indeed
Artemeiv is such a class act. I’ve always liked him from when he was first coming up through the super GM ranks.
I love Artemiev attitude........!!! 😍😍😍
Its not only “ it’s fine “
Also with every handshake he seems trying to stand up as kind of respect.
This kind of people didnt learn how to be humble and kind, its in their DNA! Much respect to Artimiev
nope its in education
Class Behavior By Artemiev
Well played. For viewers here not understanding Nakamura's reaction: Artemiev would be up by two unopposed pawns after the forced Queen exchange so the game is absolutely over.
thanks, I was wondering
And why he said sorry?
@@vasantvohra5512 Probably because that win compromised significantally Hikaru's chances at the title
@@vasantvohra5512 Because Artemiev is just a genuinely nice guy and these two are probably friends. Nakamura kind of fell apart in the last couple moves and Artemiev seemingly didn't want Nakamura to lose his confidence ("you have a lot of pressure") since he (Nakamura) was favorite to win this (important) 2022 World Blitz Tournament (he was first on the leaderboard for most of the tournament but finished second).
@@-NoneOfYourBusiness he also apologized when he played with Magnus, i think it's just him trying to comfort his opponent
NICE GUY!
Sorriso da mina no final la motiva a gente continuar sempre evoluindo 😂😂😂
You know what : I like both players !
i like artemiev, he is a very respectfull player. Not like others.
A true gentleman.
Artemiev is becoming top tier GM
Please get a virtual board on the screen. It's hard for me to follow game (I'm an amateur) without setting up a board myself
Artemiev is next level gentlemen 🙌
There are very few chess players who show any sort of sportmanship. Most seem like spoilt children.
Refreshing to see that some can rise above.
It's quite easy to call a "master" in a field, "A spoilt child" when you yourself haven't been at that level.
@@shubhankar5355 maybe I would think twice if they behaved at a level befitting their "Master" title. You know respectful, not rude, a little common decency for others. But I guess they are special.
There are a lot of classy guys at the top: Wesley So, Caruana, Arigaisi, Artemiev, etc. Hopefully, we won't have to deal with Carlsen and Nakamura's childish antics for too long.
@@toybm they are absolutely special. I really like Artemiev's behavior, who doesn't!? He's classy, polite. But for most of them, with all that intelligence comes the excentricities. It should be common sense that you can find that there. We should praise Artemiev, not be negative towards the rest.
@@leonardos2925 I understand what you're saying. Maybe I expect more from people with higher intelligence, my respect or lack there of, doesn't solely depend on their intelligence.
Not sure I agree with always giving someone a pass on bad behaviour just because they are smart........ But to each their own.
In the end, what does it matter what I think, they will never know or care.
браво Владислав
Спасибо за канал, с любовью из Росcии! Индия
I would like to shake hands with Artemiev one day lol
Artemiev has a small child at home so he's accustomed to this rolling on the ground behavior from Hikaru
artemiev looks like a great guy that kind off person you should not see often
3 seconds to play and still win is not normal!
Handshake!
It's fine
You win some, you lose some
No pain no gain
It doesnt matter how many times you fall, what matters is how many times you stand up after falling
Failure is a part of a success
"Winner winner chicken dinner"
lol, if your saying that to Hikaru he has already reached the top level of chess. This was a good year for him to win, and as the event comes to an end he needs to do well in the end. He ended up losing a few games on the last day - and Magnus overtook him. Sad for Naka.
copium
@@someonesly1991 what exactly is wrong with coping again?
2:20 just look at this symmetry
*Humbleness of Artemiev* .........
The top level players are so hard on themselves. I have no doubt Hikaru will be looking at the game to make sure of not making the same mistake(s) again.
Хорошо играет
Elefante38 sempre agressivo, e educado. Jogou muito bem contra essa máquina
Artemiev is elephant38!
Накамуре респект! Рискнул,( после партиии видно что он уважает Артемьева) но проиграл.
Two gentlemen.
One gentleman. Artemiev thought Naka was apologising for knocking over the pieces and pressing the clock anyway. Such a thought would never occur to Naka. He was bemoaning not winning the game.
@@octavia2 How did you come up with that? That's not at all what happened.
From what I can hear:
Artemiev: It's fine
Naka: What?
Artemiev: It's fine
Naka: No no its fine. You won the game. No no. [unintelligible] I had twenty seconds.
Artemiev: You have good position you can play both sides.
Naka: No no.... Good luck.
Two??😂😂
The photographer likes him.
Rick Astley consoles Nakamura
Artemiev es el campeón sin corona jeje
Amazing game. For mr Nakamura was better but good defence of Artemiev.
opposite video of Ian vs Hari
Naka is the best!
Who else seen gentlemen game like when peaces were dropped multiple times naka resigned for it
Artemiev, a highly skilled and humble individual. Meanwhile, Nepo, the complete opposite. Always had the impression that Nepo was a chill dude, but not anymore.
for those of you who didn't get it, Hikaru knocked two of his pieces before pressing the clock, in the rules you have to fix the piece you knocked before you press your clock, in this game Hikaru did it twice so that's why he resigned, although Artemiev is already winning here, Hikaru could've continued playing the game still but resigned because he broke the rules twice, thats why Artemiev said, "its fine" like he wouldnt tell the arbiter about it.
???
Another classy player is Ding L*****n ,the guts it took to win the world title for me is the highlight of my time watching chess.
Artemiev be like "main to nahin hu insano me"😂
i fell into this chess rabbithole and was rather excited to see distinguished folks being brilliantly professional but then ran into so many controversies and tantrums, finally found what i was expecting 😂(can somebody explain how black won, i thought it was a draw)
Hikaru violate the rule twice. In FIDE rule you need to re-adjust fallen pieces before you hit the clock, but hikaru hit the clock before fixing his king. In this case the opponent could complain to arbiter but artemiev choose not to do so. So hikaru resign out of his honor.
The endgame is lost for white.
The second handshake was also a classy act by Hikaru, probably felt that the first handshake wasn't good and a lil bit disrespectful for his opponent
Were they in hurry ?
Eu vi o Naka voltar uma peça 😂😂😂 isso é permitido?
he beat both carlsen , nakamura and still lost the tournament tough event.
Artemiev does not appear to be faced by pressure.
Artemiev, Can beat the best of the best he has done it before!
Whats artemiev said? And naka
he says it's fine
Video is useless without the digital board on the screen
Arty is like a chess bot 99.9% of the time. Stronk!
Bhai yesi me kya samjhe ga hame
mistaks are common its a tricky game chess
What did Artemiev console Hikaru about? Is it because of Hikaru's loss or something else
Yeah, some high rated players are salty sometimes about losing. Hikaru looked a bit salty, the way he resigned, and Artemiev tried to defuse the tension. It seemed to work as Hikaru shook his hand respectfully after that.
@@hamletfisherman5740 Nah. Artemiev thought Naka was apologising for knocking the pieces over and pressing the clock anyway - you're not supposed to do that. Needless to say, Naka wasn't, just bitching about losing.
@@octavia2 yeah, he clearly wasn’t salty 🙄. Maybe he did apologize for the fallen piece though.
@@hamletfisherman5740 if you watch hikaru closely, you'll see that he makes apologetic gestures after knocking his pieces over. I'm sure he was salty about the loss, but I'm pretty sure that's what Artemiev was referring to.
Obviously its easier to see these things when im not staring down a time clock, but it appears as if Hikaru makes a terrible miss at 10:09 by not taking the opposing queen with his castle but instead moving his King. Im no chess expert so can anyone tell me if this was the right move?
The rook (castle) was pinned by the rook on e8. Taking the queen would have put himself in check, so that would have been illegal.
@@TristanWeijermars ah yes, of course you are right. I knew I was missing something.
Can somebody break down why Nakamura lost?
Hikaru will lost all pions after trade the queen. Artemiev’s rook will finish that job
@@suswanaqa1887 Thanks bro!
Last move was queen trade, leaving rooks behind but artemiev had a lot of pawns especially he had them on both side. He was gonna win after a few moves. so nakamura forfeit.
GAJOS BEM MAU E EDUCADO HAHAHA
Sadly we don't get to see Hikaru's tantrum thanks to the arbiter
Mr. Nakamura is emotional. He wanted to finish this quickly and swiftly. He was too sure to win. Nakurama played too fast to passionately. To play chess with reckless abandonment.
