Starfield is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks.It was announced during Bethesda's E3 presentation in 2018.[4] The game takes place in a space-themed setting, and is the first new intellectual property developed by Bethesda in 29 years. It is scheduled to release for Windows and Xbox Series X/S on September 6, 2023, with the early access release receiving generally favorable reviews.
Gameplay
Starfield is an action role-playing video game. Players can switch between a first-person and third-person perspective any time in the game. Starfield features an open world in the form of an area within the Milky Way galaxy, containing both fictional and non-fictional planetary systems, with players being able to land on more than 1,000 planets and an unspecified number of moons and space stations. The majority of the landscapes within the game were procedurally generated; they were subsequently modified and handcrafted content was developed around them. The game will generate the terrain and the alien flora and fauna of a planet depending on the star of its system and its atmosphere, as well as locations of interest as the player approaches a planet.The largest city in the game, New Atlantis, is the largest fictional city Bethesda has developed. As the player explores the game world, they will encounter various non-playable characters (NPCs), some of whom may join the player's crew. Such NPCs may aid the player in combat, carry items, or during confrontations, speak to other NPCs on the player's behalf. Some may comment on choices the player makes. The player may station crew members at any of their constructed outposts. Each companion character has their own unique skills and abilities. Some recruitable NPCs are able to be romanced by the player.
Setting
Starfield is set in an area that extends outward from the Solar System for approximately 50 light-years called the Settled Systems. Around the year 2310, the two largest factions in the game, the United Colonies and Freestar Collective, engaged in a conflict called the Colony War. The game takes place 20 years after the war, with the major factions enjoying an uneasy peace. The player assumes the role of a customizable character who is a member of Constellation, an organization of space explorers.
Development
Starfield is the first new intellectual property (IP) by Bethesda Game Studios in over twenty-five years, and has been described by director Todd Howard as "Skyrim in space".[18][5] The studio had been delving into space-themed games since as early as 1994, according to Howard. They had acquired the rights to make a game based on the Traveller role-playing system, but shortly lost them. Their Delta V game in 1994 had been part of this Traveller license but had not been fully realized.[5] The 10th Planet was a cancelled space combat game from which the atmosphere of Starfield was derived. Howard stated they had rights to Star Trek in the 2000s and he pitched an idea for a role-playing game in that setting, but this failed to be approved.
While Bethesda had wanted to do a science-fiction game for some time and had strong ideas for its gameplay style, it took a while to cement the ideas behind Starfield that would distinguish it from other science-fiction games already released. They came onto a theme which lead artist Istvan Pely dubbed "NASA punk", that although set in humanity's future, used technology that can be traced to origins in various National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) space missions. Bethesda's team began writing a fictional narrative of events by decade of the approximately 300 years from development to the game's present, in order to ask "And now man is living amongst the stars: what does that mean?", according to Howard.

2: Do NOT kill the enemies outside of the ship as it will take off uf ground crew is eliminated.
Protip: Instead of flying to and fro to reset, just load your autosave when you've found the spot that spawns a landing site.

Maybe try making a manual save right after disembarking your ship, as quickly as you can after loading.

@MikeJones-jc5gb same here, certain spots I'd be with ships landing only had limited variety that would spawn. I've found the Eclipitic Claymore, mainly. Which is a great comparable ship, just still looking for the UC Vista
At level 31 and having Pilot skill IV and Ship Design I, I found a landing spot with a ship landing and did a quick save before exiting the ship. Each time I would run over, the ship was almost always a different model. Took me probably 30ish reloads to get a Vista and it's only a Vista I, never saw any ship above tier II. There's definitely a lot of different ships that will land on this planet. I didn't have much luck fast traveling around to new landing spots, seemed to have better luck choosing a landing spot while in orbit. Good luck ship hunters! I just got the UC Vista a few days ago doing this same tactic. I am not exactly sure that I got it in the Masada system but I can confirm that it is possible. Masada is one of my go to systems for ship stealing so it’s very likely where mine came from as well. I typically roam the level 75 systems near Masada in the far east of the universe. I have noticed as I progressed in character level and ship skills that more C class ships and rarer ships started spawning in these high level systems. It is very random though and I have had them spawn on low level systems as well but I think there is a higher chance to find them in level 75 systems like Masada and once your character progresses in level and skills. Since the UC Vista is one I just acquired I haven’t used it much yet but it’s a great looking ship and I think there is a lot of potential with it. I think with some upgrades and ship building adjustments this could be a great battleship with lots of tank, DPS, room for all your crew members and space for all your research and manufacturing stations.

For anyone still struggling I’ve got some info that will hopefully help!! At first all I was getting was small Class A Ships constantly. HOWEVER After reaching level 30 I tried again with no luck but after leveling up my Starship Design Skill to Tier 4 I noticed bigger ships were landing and after a few save resets the vista landed for me. Picked the lock got in and out with just a $350 dollar bounty from free Star

Sorry for that buddy. It would work I'm sure. Yeah try again later. Youcan try other planets in the same solar system if you want.
This technique works best on moons for some reason. I've also found that the ones with some sort of feature or building tends to have better odds. But there are certainly specific ones scattered around that spawn better/more frequently.
Update. Got it to land but UC was everywhere and when I killed them my crew went nuts lol...I freaked out and reloaded a save. Haven't seen it since. I'm going to leave them all home and try again. The method does work. Thanks again
@@mattrayne7788 My first really sweet UC ship that landed for me was the same way....I had my companion instantly say she's leaving. So I switched to solo mode and have yet to get another sweet UC ship to land.
I have yet to find this ship on the planet farmed for it for hours however I did fond a Va'ruun Prophecy II for far superior stats then what is show for this ship in the video. The Va'ruun ship came with 1755 shields, 1151 hull, 4140 cargo, 44 lasers, 74 ballistics, 71 Missle, 6 crew, 30 Power.

Yeah the vista is a weak ship, all my other captured ships have much better stats.
i found this ship at the Moon Zamka in Alpha Centauri.
It was landing right beside my new opened Iron Outpost ^^
Its a good, solid ship, i rebuild it a bit inside, and give her some beter weapons and modules.
Quiet happy about this found.

I have two of these, and it was random systems where it landed. As for getting free ships, nearly every time you land, you will hear another ship coming in. Just have your scanner on so you can zoom in to see if it's worth investigating. I think maybe the higher your level, the more class C ships you will see. Don't hold me to that, but I have gotten plenty of them this way. Plus, it pays to be in the UC, because you can walk right past them with no trouble. I personally think the Kepler R is the best ship in the game and it's free.

Hopped all over the planet for about 4 hours at level 76 at the start of my 3rd play through and this far this ship has not spawned but I did reconstitute my C class fleet with a few to be sold for credits.
Yeah did the same I'm level 63 only see junk ships landing on that moon and other places, only way can get good ships is capturing in space.
Levelled up 5 times last night trying to capture a Vista saw none.

This does work, id imagine your lvl might have something todo with it possibly. Also all i did was reuse the save that had a ship spawn and just reloaded that worked.

You don't have to jump to different parts of this moon to find it. If you don't hear the sonic boom the first time, board your ship, sleep 24 hours and go back out again. You may try multiple times and takes almost the same time than flying to another place on the moon, but it's still an option.
You are not right here buddy. The loading times for respawning are around 10 seconds for meso that is much faster than waiting in the ship:)
@@mraftergames yes you're right those 24 hours sleep cycles seem eternal sometimes! I was simply pointing out that you can just wait there until the other ship appears. 😅

It’s a random spawn and can happen in any system and planet/moon for me it was whilst I was exploring mercury I think, definitely in the sol system. But I’m sure I had seen it land other times on other planets I just never investigated it until then.

Random alright really rare random spent hours searching saw no Vista ships on the ground, have captured a Vista II in space purely by chance.
Wish it was a version III though.
Landed ships never drop their planks now. They just sit there, inert. I hope Beth fixes this bug soon.

Just a note sometimes if you engage the npcs around the ship, the ship will leave.
Did this last night for about an hour. Only wound up with two low quality ships. One was a colonist ship and the other was an Ecliptic which I did steal it but the damn thing was not strong enough to jump to any other system. Wound up loading a save right before that so I could get rid of it. It is all random just have to keep trying.

I love how this comes up after I already found this last night (UC Vista III). Finally found it! Trouble is? I got her all registered up, all my piloting, ship engineering, weaponry and automated guns skills are maxed out, but the friggin turrets on this ship wont fire at selected targets. Like WTF? ONly thing that fires is the one dinky missile on there.
Yeah,I realised that mine too:)) I think they automated but we need another skill, or try to upgrade them
Turrets don’t always fire at targeted enemies that’s the point of them, they take out the other ships you aren’t targeting so you can deal with multiple enemies at once
I’ve had issues with turrets as well. I’m not sure if they don’t fire because they may be incorrectly positioned or just some internal glitch.
Gotta love how Bethesda fixes the fun glitches and doesn’t fix many of the annoying ones. 😂

Wow. That happened to me on the Wight II that kept showing up instead of this great ship. Only the missiles would fire. The same Spacers I would have vaporized in 3 seconds ( upgraded Star Eagle ) wiped me out. I had to use another save post-capture, then fast travel to Neon to register. Sub - damned - optimal.
You should have an outpost created and dedicated to creating AMPs. Its very easy to do and some have videos and tutorials on how to do it. I use AMPs constantly for running around plus putting points in fitness. I was doing something different but came across an Ecliptical Claymore which is another fine Class C ship. Stole it then upgraded with a few good items. All for the cost of 33K+ registration. Ships with similar stats run you about 200K to 400K.

Ive got the same claymore ship! Its amazing. Ive upgraded everything and rearranged the layout. Reactor is now up to 34 and almost all stats are maxed except two guns. I also added shielded cargo and scan blockers.
Yeah need to use Amps have over 100 from looting and not put any points into fitness yet, I'm way too slow getting to grounded ships at the moment.

Just captured Vista II in space was very easy, was hoping it had better stats pretty weak really.
Found in it in 75 level system, need to find a Vista III.

Best place for UC ships for me was Mars, Hell right outside Cydonia i had one spawn in that i could steal.

yeah that's how i got my first c class ship, only problem was that it had an army of ecliptic on board.
Having such a ship, requires one to be mandated in having a crew, capable in variouis part's of flying the ship. The pilot aka you, don't have accesss to ALL the various weapon's.

I just boarded a trader ship " Trader Highlander III " it has a 40 reactor, 1400 shields and 189 PAR weapon.
Just fly around moons in higher level planet systems 20+ to your level or max 75
Board the random encounter ships.
The Freestar ones are the best, especially Valentine, they can spawn ships worth over 400K in equipment.
The big trader ships are good, but LIST ships can only be captured on the ground ( not authorized to fly bug in space )

I just ran into a problem that I have seen a lot of people complain about. I can no longer steal ships. When I land on a planet a ship will land but when I get there there are no enemies and the ship is not open. This now happens on every planet I visit. Really annoying. What I also found is that I can now steal Starborn Guardian ships. Unfortunately, you can only sell them to ship vendors who have less credits than the ship is worth.
Not sure if it matters if you have done a playthrough...but I tried exactly 45 different spots on this planet and only had 2 ships land...both were very small.
I'm level 40 and finished the main story. I believe it could depend on that too.

Immersion for me. I felt like a clown when i built a neighborhood and realized we can only put 8 people in it
It would be nice to be able to assign crew to stations and actually implement that crew member who's a doctor and the crazy cook. Would also be nice to be able to carry around assigned passengers...

You can build better ship by yourself, most parts are available at you own outpost landing pad , I picked parts from everywhere , neon,akilla,jemison,demos staryard,stroud-eklund staryard , piece it together and save it , then use another ship to fly it to your landing pad and switch back to the the one you want to build ....about 80% of all available parts should be at your outpost , btw it costs creds anyway......and that's where 2 hour fun is (build away)

@@blackacidevll5826 Of course you can build a better ship, but stealing one that is almost a complete setup saves you hundreds of thousands of credits. All you have is the registration cost and minor upgrade costs. You also don't have to spend hours and hours fiddling around with a layout, steal something you generally love and adjust to your liking.

Tried it for 2 hours. I just kept on reloading an autosave then wait for the boom sound. Ecliptic, Spacer, Colonist, Starborn, Vanguard Raptor ships and so on kept showing up. Never the UC Vista. Is this level related? I'm still at level 33 but I already have the class C pilot skill.
Could be level related or story related. Also I have joined UC Vanguard ,so that could matter too.

Yeah,the spawns are random. You don't know what you get. You can also try Masada I-A.

Tried for 2hrs and it never spawned, then it dawned on me...certain reactors don't spawn into the game until your level 57. I looked it up and sure enough, reactor power is 38, that's probably why some aren't seeing it yet.

Best ships I own are the Razorleaf and Star Eagle, but the Eagle won't make it to Masada. How far of a jump range do I need to make it there?
JUmp fromconstellation to constellation until you get there. You need to discover the path first.

This may have been nerfed in the update. The ship that shows up appears to be random. When I reload the autosave a different ship will show up but all of them seem to be from a list of about ten ships, none of which is a Vista. The best one I saw was a UC Autobahn.
It's not nerfed. It's totally random. I believe it depends on your level as well. I start getting only class C ships
If ur getting the autobahn keep save resetting from that exact spot once I started seeing the autobahn the Vista came not too may resets later
I've spent the last 8+ hours(over two days) trying to get this ship to spawn. I don't know what I'm doing incorrectly.

It may be your level. I couldnt get it to spawn for the life of me till past level 30. I retried today b/c I hit like level 31 and it spawned. However it flew away before I could get to it. 😊

Thank you for the video. Yesterday i was trying to farm Voyager III without luck, for now anyway. But i got a bigger problem. I was able to get Hyena II ship from a distant system called Hawking. I flew there with Starborn ship and we know that it´s range is huge. Then i landed with that Hyena II again on the moon to try getting the Voyager III and quicksaved before exiting the ship. But no ship did spawn and i loaded the quicksave to try again. Of course the " autosave " saves the game every time also when exiting the ship. But always after few times when i save the game, my saves gets messed up and the quicksave disappears. Only the autosave and the saves from yesterday and older, remains in the saves list. So now i am stuck on Hawkings with Hyena II and it´s range doesn´t cover any distance so i can fly and land on a planet so i can change the ship back to Starborn. Only way to get back on Starborn is to load a save from 2 days back and that is annoying.

Doesn't seem to work. Landed all over the planet, only had one garbage crimson fleet ship land. Thats it... So unless the spawn is based on level, or is completely random, pretty much a waste of time imo.
It's completely random. From what I know it doesn't matter the level. I am level 38.

@@mraftergames I finally got one by sleeping on Venus for 2400 UT hours to refresh the ship vendors and bought it on Mars by luck. Man this took forever I guess the RNG gods had mercy.

I tried this for many hours. Got many ships. But anything with “UC” in the name would not let me sit in the seat. I’m piloting rank 4.
Try to join the UC Vanguard in New Atlantis headquarters,maybe that helps.

The ships are randomly spawning so that's your luck for now. Try again later and land on several spots on the planets.

Trued everything, but NO UC Vista. A starborn killed crew, but not accesible. A black ecpliptic ship, which leaves before u can board it. Resloading at the spawnsite several times. Different landingsites. Sleeping in chair multiple times for 24h. Think about 40 attempts, but no vista....

Landed on mesada multiple times and waited. Nothing. 7 landing sites 0 landings. Since the Xbox update earlier they seem far less frequent. Can anyone else confirm?

Did not work for me at all. Tried for 3 hours. Got everything but this.
The spawns are random and depends on your level as well.

I am at 100 reloads and havent seen this ship..im calling bs on this.

You will not get 42,000 for seeing the ship. You are paying 38000 to resister a ship that will sell for about 45k. You will only earn 7300k. Not bad but not 42k. Most I ever made for selling a stolen ship was about 13k for a class C
