Someone else in the comments might have said it but, this collection is all Gen 1 pokemon so Umbreon and Espeon still could make an appearance if they do a part 2 that's Gen 2. I think they were playing it smart by doing it by generation so they could get more collections out of the collab
Honestly the best collab CP has done in a while. I like it when they stick to the obvious color choices and designs, then it actually feels like the thing it's collabing with.
I disagree. I think they made it more appealing to younger audiences yet I know this is going to be bought more by long time Pokemon lovers.
You did a wonderful job showing us this beautiful collection. I think it’s so beautiful and bright. I was worried about the formula and you’ve confirmed my worries. I may pick up one of the blushes and a supershock simply because the packaging is so beautiful. Can’t wait to hear your son’s opinions

I think they did well overall! I just hate that for the PH lipbalms they keep using the plastic packaging with metallic details that rub off after a year or so. Then it will just be a basic pH lipbalm.
I had glosses with those details..
They rubbed off after a couple used and were half gone in less than a month
It's adorable! I really like that minty green SSS and the cream blushes.
Would not trust myself with lip balms because I would be lowkey tempted to eat them.
Those are the original Eevee evolutions from Pokémon red/blue so I think that’s why they were chosen.

I really liked that you acknowledged that the sheerness of the shadows isn't inherently bad, it's just not for everybody. While I love pigmented shadows because I can work with them faster, I know not everyone is comfortable with makeup and color like I am and it might be fine for someone else 🤷🏽♀️ curious to hear how the mattes perform on the eyes!
I didn’t play Pokemon as it came out when I was an adult, but I really love this collection especially the blushes and the palette. I’m going to be picking it up. The palette is out of my comfort zone but I’m trying to branch out from cool toned neutrals and pinks and greys. I think this is the palette where I can mix with what I already have. I only bought one of the Ph changing lip balms because it is the only type of product I have never tried. I didn't need anything else either product wise

Thanks for the video! Looking forward to seeing you try out the products to see how they perform on the face. For me, I loved the original tease for the Eveelution glosses but then every tiktok clip of them gave no tint or shimmer, just looked like a clear gloss which was so disappointing. The super shocks seem ok, so maybe I'll pick them up later. But so far I feel fine with skipping most of it. I was hoping for some really vivid colours and so far it seems only the blushes are delivering. Your comparison swatches looked much better, so maybe I'll try those if I feel the need for a giant rainbow palette (but mostly I prefer smaller, more curated palettes).

I think it’s a great collab! I’m not particularly impressed by Colourpop’s eyeshadow formula but it’s not bad and this color story is stunning! I’ll probably end up picking it up, but I’m not running out to get it either.

I do kind of wish they had done cream lipsticks instead of the PH balms. I'll probably get one for my niece because she'll think it's cute but it's not for me.
I'm getting the palette, the super shocks, and the purple blush. The Bulbasaur stade is gorgeous.
I love this. It looks like they were paying homage to the original lineup of Pokemon. Super cute. Definitely going to try to pick up some of these.

I ordered all three super shocks. I almost got the blushes but I’ll wait until the price goes down a bit. They also just came out with a new body oil which I got. I never hear anyone talking about the SOL body oils. I’m obsessed with them. I have every one I could get my hands on. It seems counterintuitive but they aren’t greasy at all and have never stained my clothes but they do make my skin look amazing!

I got the Pikachu balms and the blushes. Had to balance my budget with buying things I will still like even if i only use them a few times and then display them. I skipped the lip mask because the seam being in the middle and not opening with a hinge really cheapened it
I saw solar beam and I really want to have it. It looks a bit less impactfull than the other 2 shades wich is perfect for my skintype!
I love the palette. Problem is that I usually don't use very intense colors and tend to stick to neutrals/whatever only gives the slightest amount of color.
Colors that suit me best are with the warm neutral to neutral cool toned range and it must be muted. While I could tone down all the shades by layering, it always gives some trouble with a topper/glitter shade.

I think everything here is gen 1, I would also have liked something with the later Eeveelutions
I like the Clefable and Gengar pairing, there's a theory that Gengar is meant to be Clefable's shadow! And of course a red blush for Pikachu is really cute

Dyyyyying because I missed the bulbasaur super shock shadow lol, hoping for some other eeveelutions if they do another collection in the future! I ordered the main palette, the other 2 shock shadows, and the ditto ph lippie. Your video made me hype for the other 2 super shocks, though! The blue was a surprise!

My best friend purchased the whole collection for me and as a die hard Pokemon fan this collection is perfection and my childhood dream became reality I've been watching this show since I was a child
The intenisty of the shades looked better in previous pallete comparisons. This looks more muted / dusty even on the shimmers. However, I bought it anyway because I don't have all those pallettes and the colors are pretty. I hope I can build it up to get the intensity and contrast I like on the eyes. . .

Honestly pokemon has been out for so long I grew up with it, and have been playing the games since I had access to technology. One of my favorites childhood toys was a pikachu plush that had to go once it broke becuse I played with it too much. I managed to get the blue and yellow games in emulator on my first nokia phone and played it in full (tried emerald in emulator, got two thirds of the way in and then lost my data and didn't start again). Two years ago I got a secondhand nintendo 3ds and so far managed to beat x and am currently playing alpha sapphire. I want to finish the games I have for 3ds before moving to the ones for switch. I don't know if you've seen the pokemon concierge show, but of you haven't I very much enjoyed it. And I have several of the pokemon squishmallows. Needless to say, this collection is very much catered to me.
I usually wait for your reviews before buying, but for this one I just went for it blind. I understand that they had to limit themselves and why they went just for the gen 1 pokemon. I only got one ph balm (the ditto one) and one blush (the gengar one, I was tempted by the clefable one but I know I'm not a cream blush girl so one was plenty). But that was as far as my limiting myself goes. I'm counting it as my birthday present from me to me. I wish we had something for my gen 1 fave psyduck, but I appreciate that he shows up on the palette at least. My beloved silly duck wasn't completely forgotten. I'm kind of surprised it myself that I didn't get a pikachu item, but given that I have two plushies and plenty of red blush I didn't feel the need for them.

we are also a pokemon household so I was pretty excited for this. and while I think there w2as some cute stuff I still feel some disappointment. i don't know what I wanted but I feellike somethings missing. maybe some fun highlighter colors? i dunno. i just feel like there's something I still want. but I am happy I grabbed the supershock shadows. i am especially hyped for the bubesaur one, they did my green buddy proud! i also got the glossy lip trio to share with my teenager. i have some fomo about the lip mask but I did not need another lip mask right now and I was trying not to spend too much. the packaging is really cute though so if they restock maybe ill get it another time.
Wow the lip balms are BAD. I only want the super shock shadows and MAYBE the lip mask. I wish the Pokeball actually opened like a Pokeball though. I’m upset they didn’t do more with the Eevee-lutions. I wanted more pigmented products. I’ll probably get the Pikachu blush too. I wish the Hypnosis blush was less berry on the skin. I think the lip products look too kids-makeup adjacent packaging wise. I just know I don’t need the palette even though the shade names are great, especially Jelly Donut lol

I'm very upset the website gave me errors and showed a number of individuals I wanted as sold out. Like checking out "thats no longer in stock" like 10:30 PST.
I really just wanted the Super Shocks, lip mask and that Hypnosis blush maybe one PH balm.
So I succumbed, because I've been thinking of a bright rainbow palette and enough parts were appealing.

Performance wise did you think the pH lip balms were good as lip care? They are so pretty and I don’t care about the color but I would buy one if it’s good as a normal lip balm. But if it’s super waxy and feels bad on the skin then it’s not worth the money.
Wish they would sell the lip glosses as individuals because I’m definitely interested in those too. I’m going to wait a while to buy anything in case it’s just the hype that’s getting to me 😅
Not my preferred lip balm formula... these seem more like a fun, pretty gimmick than actual skincare 😂

Did you have the Naruto super shocks by any chance? If so, how does the blue for Squirtle compare to the blue for Sasuke? Are they different enough to justify buying both, or similar enough that you only need one?
The eeveelutions that they picked make perfect sense because this seems to be based off gen 1 - espeon and umbreon were gen 2.
No lie I cried when I saw the pokeball lip mask was sold out. My daughter would love it.
Why did the balms have to be ph adjusting? Why choose sheer cream blush? Why put shimmer in the lip mask? The formulas killed it for me as a pokemom and the hopes of getting a lip mask for my son. 😭
I adore Pikachu and Gengar, and some of this collection I wouldn't mine, but I'm not going out of my way to buy it. I have a Pikachu tattoo anyway.

Omg I’m in LOVE with the colour story but the quality of the shadows from colourpop now is quite disappointing.. hesitating too get this one because the opacity and creaminess isn’t as it once was :\
I just got the ph balms for collector reasons,but I noticed they have such an awful bitter taste tho them like when it gets in your mouth lol
What skin tones look good with purple blush?
This is a warm purple so I think anyone with warm or neutral undertones will love it!
I like that they kept it to the original Kanto region Pokemon! I'm also incredibly biased because Flareon is my very favorite Pokemon ever. 😆
I wonder if they made the matte formula a little lighter to make this more accessible for kids getting into makeup. I have a few tiny humans in my life who love Pokemon and love to play with makeup, and I think could be a good entry point for them. That said, I'm likely going to replace some of the weaker mattes with better singles in my collection.

I grabbed the lip mask, one of the PH balms and the super shocks. The swatches of the palette on IG just didn't seem super impressive unfortunately. The color story is cute but I'm happy I skipped it. Overall the collection is super cute!

Glitter….. So many glitter shades 😭. They keep doing that, almost like they are no longer adding Supershock into palettes but the glitters instead.
Hate to tell y’all but the eyeshadows seem to be the patchy quality these days with them. I think they changed formulas to try to keep prices lower so they can keep their customers.

Man, those matte swatches are bad, like cheap makeup bad. I watched another swatch video and I thought maybe it was just the person swatching them didn't really pick up a lot of product, but no, they're just bad. I was eyeballing the palette, but that's just a no from me. Cute collab, but terrible execution for everything imo.
It seems they often try to stick with their "buildable" matte formula. It's not terrible, but it can be difficult for those who want to create more "advanced" looks.
Its sad colourpop crapped out the matte formula due to know popularity of the collab with fans & nostalgia
I think it's most likely a result of cost cutting/using lesser ingredients but I don't really know... just my guess based on what I've seen a lot of brands doing...

Personally I was so scared when it was announced that they were doing a collab because so many recently, in my opinion have been flops. But I am really surprised and please with this collection but I think it had to be super different from the past several because Pokemon is a huge company and very protective of their brand so I think if it had flopped they would’ve been out a lot of money. This collection for me was a make or break with them, if it sucked I would’ve stopped buying completely from them just because I’m tired from all of the same things being released in different packages. But this was, as a Pokemon fan, pleasant to see!
