The combat in this was like Spider-Man on steroids. He fights like a Dragon Ball Z character in this, and it’s awesome. Definitely the funnest combat in any Spider-Man game
God, I love WoS’ gameplay. One of the many details I love is how Pete’s attacks are slowed down, so in actuality is going insanely fast while fighting. Which is supports the lesser known detail about just how fast Spider-People are.

Spiderman Web of Shadows has a fast and dynamic combat system, where every single punch, kick and contact with an enemy possesses a substantial amount of weight and fluid kinetic energy behind it, which is only complimented and reinforced by the intense, raw sound effects of each and every attack as they cause the camera to shake and cause the opponent’s body to violently ricochet as they are viscously pummelled and sent flying down the street towards the next junction. This not only helps to make the player feel more powerful and immersed in the gameplay as a superhero, but also provides a strong level of satisfaction and ecstasy as all of these visual and sensory cue’s perfectly harmonise and culminate together triggering a deep rooted neurological sweet spot that is beyond comprehension. I think Spiderman PS4’S amazing graphics, gadget wheel and web swinging mechanics mixed with Web of Shadows heavy combat system would help to make the best Spiderman game to date.

For the story's sake, especially for the balck suit arc, it should not happen when it comes to having the ability to quick swap between the Red and Blues and the Black Suit. If Peter truly becomes something incredibly dark, brutal, and vengeful when he wears the suit... when he becomes The Black Spider-Man. Do you really think it'll be appropriate for peter to wear the Red and Blues when he starts abandoning the values on what that version represents? The answer is no. Even though it would be cool in a gameplay aspect for the impact of gameplay... it'll clash against the storylines purpose. Spider-Man 2 will not be a Web of Shadows 2.0 for its storyline... but i do believe their gameplay for traversal and ESPECIALLY for combat will lead towards a higher and more depth driven level than ever before. The foundation they made in 2018? Well, it'll definitely be at its fullest potential in Spider-Man 2! That a damn bet.

Like when you press triangle I wish you would jump off the enemy like in here. But web of shadows did have repetitive combat too. But I will say boss battles in Spider-Man ps4 were a little boring at times. I really liked the rhino and scorpion fight.
You also gotta understand that both games take on a completely different style which is why spiderman PS4's combat works for that game. Honestly both give you options on how you want to play. All boss battles were Terrible , you Basically had to do 3 things : dodge, Wed strike and mash square. Sometimes there's step 4 which is perform the same finisher over and over again until the boss is down. Spider-man deserve more intense boss fights. It was uninspiring and unforgivable, Spider-man 2 had better variation in combat and appealing boss battles. And it had the same style of Spider-man Ps4. So no Insomniac ne eed to improve in the sequel instead of listening to fans who claims this is the best Spider-man game. Its not not even close. Its a good start that's what it is. And this is coming from a guy who bought the DLC and platinumed the game.

I’m playing on PS3 and can’t past the first mission where it says to press R2 to swing. It won’t let me. I press the R2 trigger repeatedly and it just won’t let me swing. How can I fix this issue? Tryna have my son play and he can’t cuz pressing R2 does nothing.
Probably because they were going for a more cinematic type of swinging, so they focused more on the camera and position of the player. But yeah I agree, there's a lot of room for improvement
Yeah this is the best spidey game. In spiderman ps4 it hurts you're eyes to see spiderman going into swing-motion everytime before the web even attaches. Theres no "SNAP" feeling when spidey's weight pulls on the web, and then flinges him up in the air like here in web of shadows. In spiderman ps4 its just shoot web, spiderman starts floating, web attaches 2 seconds later, then he slowly goes up and thats it. IM A HUGE SPIDEY FAN, but i can say the swinging is trash in Spiderman Ps4 and Miles Morales. Because 17 years later they give us nothing better than spiderman 2 or web of shadows. Also the combat system Spiderman Ps4-- ! barley any web attacks, instead spider-drone, suspension matrix, trip mine, and web bomb. Disabling vsync improved the fps a lot for me. If its still stuttery after try lowering the resolution

Love this game but I always felt it was too dark and the city wasvery empty from the beginning which is something spiderman ps4 excels in and its also why i felt it was way more enjoyable than shadow of webs
Different hardware by over 10 years. Plus where this game outright kills ps4 spidy is in gameplay.

@@melz2195 i just finished web of shadows right now. Somehow i never made it to the ending before, i was always just free roaming and fighting. It is a great game, except for the voice acting.

But, why you point out the most dump thing of all? Really? What matter if the web struck in heaven, the web swinging is objetivly better. That is like say that a game has better fighting mechanics because the bodies of defeated enemies don't disappear after some minutes...
@@pafoneto1275 webbing not sticking to buildings is a legitimate criticism, since, you know, it's fucking Spider-Man. In Miles Morales and PS4, they didn't stick to buildings by a meter at most, in WoS, you could make out when they didn't stick to buildings without even turning your camera. There's no excuse for that

Web of shadows is my favorite spider man game, shame that the ps4 version copied "the amazing spider man" gameplay, they could do something new or better but no they don't care, guess why? Cuz no one care about a spider man game and the fans didn't even saw the difference, that's why the developers didn't care about doing something new or better.
well if you ask me about the spider man ps4 version, I say its a new "the amazing spider man game" but with high budget.
It is also my favorite game is better than most spider games, and it is unfortunate what they did with "The Amazing Spiderman", for me it was one of the worst but well, hopefully with the one that will come out soon improve all the failures that had the previous or well that's what they promise, just wait.
