- Today we're going to learn about straight letters that are used as throwies. These straight letter graffiti pieces are definitively straight letters but they're used in the way that throwies are used and this allows the graffiti art work to be done simplistically and quickly to let the used get the name up fast and easy.

I found this refreshing, thank you Grim. When I decided to stay with my current name. I had to go back to the basics of lettering and handwriting itself. Because I found that I had been neglecting my proficiency in every letter. Like you said, This style forces you to know your basic letter structures. It's helped me improve my throwies.

We called these burners out here in southern Cali . Defined by that "gray area" between throwies and pieces

My mentor considered these throwies too. I see the distinction you’re making for it. Turns out, this IS my preferred method. Learn something new every video you make.

Yeah you're not wrong that's for sure. Like realism vs photo realism, likely one of the most blured lines ever. At least here these are 1000000% straight letters, they're just used in place of throwies

They're great especially for people who love messing with letter name weight. This can (in super experienced hands) lead to emence amounts of flow as well as contrast. Love them

Absolutely not. There is a factual way art works and antistyle is factually not graffiti (the two out of 3 I mention that I like). The third is factually incorrectly done graffiti. All of that is fact, so no my knowledge on the matter hasn't changed and never will

Many places call them many different things. None of which are official terms or universally known throughout the community but names like Dubs works perfectly well if friends know what you're talking about
