đ About Hercules Candy
Hercules Candy has been on Steveâs side of the family since 1910(ish). When he took over in the 70âs, he anticipated after 10 years of hard work, he could move the business out of the basement and into a real storefront. Unfortunately, it took until 2018 for that to happen, but hey at least it happened! Steve and Terry own the shop, Craig (the social media manager) is their son, Cara (wrapper and shipper extraordinaire who is poised to take over the shop one day) is their daughter and Leah (who doesnât love being on camera and is very elusive) is their oldest daughter. Karen has been working for Hercules Candy since the twins (Craig and Cara) were about 6 months old and everybody else is a new recruit. Donât forget to subscribe and hit the đ for more videos!

I'm so impressed with how fast Cooper and Greg caught on to candy making and the science of it all. Hopefully Steve and Terry will be able to have a vacation knowing that the boys can handle the back and Cara and the girls can handle the office and the front.
I was just thinking the same thing. They really understand the process now and the nuances of candy making.
Why do you have 666 in your name?

I have watched a bunch of videos from 5 years ago. And yesterday I jumped to current videos. Steve is so much more comfortable with the camera. It's so nice to see him having fun. Everything looks so yummy. Thanks for sharing.
Best part of my day! Just got home from working with confectionery food in a manufacturing setting and these videos are my zen/relaxation.
Love all the great banter, positive energy, and the overall love of your craft! It really shows through these great videos. Please keep âem coming! đ
Thanks so much!
I've watched you guys grow for the past 2 years. I'm so proud of you all! I can't wait to watch your content in the years to come.
Love you guys!

Iâve been watching since 2017 đ

@@HerculesCandy It's my pleasure!

"This is already a disaster, let's try a new disaster."
I just love that. â€
Coffee creams covered with milk or dark chocolate. Maybe even add ground roasted coffee beans to the center. Or a chocolate covered roasted bean to each center before enrobing in chocolate.....Just some ideas.....Or use this idea in the ribbon candy.....
I would like to suggest a new flavor. Apple Cider with cinnamon and cloves. My mom would use our old perkalater coffee pot and would put Apple Cider (vs Apple juice) where the water would go, and put the cinnamon sticks and whole cloves in the basket and then weâd plug it in and the flavor was so warm and calming. Because it already has a liquid component it may not work very well⊠I just thought that if you needed any creative Ideas for the Autumn season.
Just a caution though - it may make you really drowsy or sleepy.G-fabless you all.
Looked like a huge batch of rosin on the table.
Hercules Crew - you guys are great! I love how things change and grow. Y'all are finding your groove, working together - and I love to see it!
They wont give you free candy for saying anything.
Thanks for continuing to support us through all of our change and growth!
Yâall should make something coffee flavoured!
You need a hot table and a cold table to run at the same time so you can experiment more.
Wondering if Greg would have better luck with the corn syrup if he held his hands in ice water to cool them down before scooping. Maybe toss a few ice cubes into the pot of water. Just an idea
Probably đ€·ââïž
He also handles it pretty slow
Thatâs why Steve always did it
I was thinking about Craig teasing Steve about his âDad Soundsâ when they were cooling the vanilla side. đ
đ
Love you guys . Miss being back home and being able to go to your shop. Makes me want to take a trip to see you . Merry Christmas , blessings to you and all of yours . Be safe ,keep warm .
I love your candies and I love watching yall s videos
Thank you for this. We love to see how candy is made, and wrapped pretty for the customers. Sonja and Chistopher
I love how excited everybody is
Oh my gosh looks so good! You guys should try cream and different fruit flavors next! Like the vanilla cream drop filling and strawberry hard candy or peach! Yum!
That filled ribbon candy is very creative! Cool idea!
These videos are so relaxing when im feeling anxious or depressed. This looks good! Deciding between this one or the smores for my next order. I've never had ribbon candy before and tried the peanut butter cup about a month ago and it was so good! Also, hearts for Cooper lol. đ€đ€
I love your videos. The fun loving feeling I always get from you guys is inspiring. I love that you are always trying new things. Karen, your tie dye outfits always make me smile and feel happy. I hope you are all having a GREAT summer.
The person you're referring to is Terry not Karen. đ
đ Hercules crew, you were great! Enjoyed the whole process.
This is what i look forward to super satisfying to watch
Omg I absolutely love Cooper! â€
This looks really good â€
Loves how long this was!!! I miss the long vidyas!!
I think you guys are correct, with the water content itâd be better to switch to chocolate on the table, and vanilla in the kettle. I love that you guys donât shy away from testing new and unusual recipes, even when you know it will give you trouble- Thatâs a rare business ethic these days! And itâs awesome!!
No matter what, it will still be delicious!!đ
I love the look as well!đ
They have two kettles, wouldnât splitting the batch and then add vanilla on the flameâŠthen the chocolate work?
Iâve been watching these videos a bunch recently, theyâre all so good and entertaining!
This was a sticky start but I'm amazed how well you saved it n it turns out fantastic
God Cooper you make me miss home (Massachusetts), great to see everyone having so much fun. Much love Hercules family from Utah
Awesome! Always fun to see new ideas come to life. I really thought that the first batch was a no go. But persistence worked. Second badge that was almost perfect. I'm pretty sure what the big secret is but I'm keeping đ€đ€Ł
Thanks guys for another video filled with fun! đđ»â€ïž
Thanks for sharing!
i love your guyes vids you mack my day intoresting with all of the cool candes
I love Terry's blue hoodie with the Hercule's logo! Will ya'll be selling it in your merch? It's a fantastic color!
Omg I'm from Massachusetts. I'm dying laughing " idear" lol so true . Soder instead of soda. The list goes on. Thanks for the đ giggle. I'm home sick today. I needed it.
Wow!! That'll taste AMAZING!! đâ€ïž
Just wanted to say â Hi guys!â Stopped in with my family and dog on our road trip back home to Florida and everyone was just soo wonderful and nice! Steve was so nice and offered us a piece of hard candy. Terry was too sweet. Thank you
Happy Birthday, Terry! â€
Awww, I miss Gregđ„°đ„°
Hope says.. yes Thar's always Hope.. and she says hi back!
I was really surprised when the sticky vanilla pulled out nicely on the hook. Thought for a minute it would be unworkable to pull and destined for the garbage. Btw, nice job Teri on the Ship Station sponsor video. Longest I've seen you go and be so serious without smiling over something!!
I love watching all your videoâs, The flavors sound and the candy looks soo good! It helps me to relax.
Oh, did I mention Iâm allergic to SUGAR? Of all things⊠đđ
Love to see the process!
I'm allergic to sugar too. It makes my butt and stomach swell.
Awesome guys, thanks. Terri this idea came to me this morning. I was wondering if you could try to put editable gold flakes in one of your candies. I talked with my oldest daughter tonight and she said that they have been watching candy making from Lofty Creations. I mentioned you all to her and she said they will have to look at your stuff too. Love you all!!!
hear me out for a candy idea, candy chips. Like the candy ribbon but just flat pieces of it and y'all can just fit it into a bag half-way filled with air to get the real chip effect. idk if yall have done this before but it just sounds fun to me
I luv y'all fr
"break a few eggs to make an omlette" i feel like walls instead of eggs could work aswell.
Greg is just adorable đ„°
You guys should try fruit and vanilla cream flavored hard candy too! Like cream savers
My guess is the bleeped out word is "orange", so it'd be orange and vanilla!
I want to use a pastry torch to reheat it just a little and that might help with the severe stickiness of it that's what my mother would have done and it would have helped and she made candy all the time
Steve cracking out the def leopard. Lol đ Steve is a dude.
Coffee flavored cream filled ribbon candy
Chocolate _has_ vanilla in it. Maybe adding half of the vanilla to the batch before it's divided would be the key?
loved the cut to the "bonus footage" hahahaha
Just ordered and canât wait for my *bleeeeeep* candy
đ
I feel like Cooper could sell me a lifetime supply of garden weeds and I'd buy them. He's got such a laid back chill vibe. Digging the boys working with such pride in Hercules.
they should have a 12in /30 cm scraper
I predict Hercules Candy newest Country Hit Song, "CHOCOLATE ON THE TABLE N' VANILLA IN THE KETTLE!!" YEE HAW!!!
On muh big copper kettle!
You could also use like vanilla paste or powder and that could help, but it looks like you figured it out anyway đ€©
That was my suggestion, too.
My mother used double strength clear vanilla in her cake business, less water without coloring the item.
I'm gonna call it now! Better be some more Smores stuff! Everyone loves smores :)
Looks yummy!
You should sell it as the first edition.
I absolutely love watching mac miller and Pete Davidson making candy together đ
Crazy stressful watching you all trying to work that vanilla side. Whew! What a MESS!!
Watching this eating Salt potatos cause I looked them up after you guys talking about them in a video I watched last night
Thanks đ
Now I need dessert đš but got nothing like that out here in the woods đ
If you get burned while cooking Immediately put mustard On the burn. It will keep some blistering and scarring. Yâall make amazing candy, I enjoy watching your videos. A friend from Texas.
That chocolate mixture looks delicious. Would you consider an all chocolate hard candy or a chocolate cherry mix?
I've been watching you since the beginning.. may I suggest Kentucky Pull Candy!?!!
Wonder if you can use a little regular cream, heat it up to pouring consistency add vanilla and pour some cream and sprinkle the cookie them, just like you would the caramel nut filling in the apple ribbon candy
Yummmm chocolate and vanilla ribbon candy â€â€â€
Well that surprised me! Th hook comes off? Cool! 37:28
Mistakes happen to everyone
Another idea for the vanilla would be vanilla bean paste. That would give it a rich vanilla flavor plus the little flecks (like in vanilla bean ice cream) but it wouldn't effect the consistency and stickiness of the hot candy. Just a thought (no guarentee đ)...
When candy sticks to the canvas you can freeze it and it should come right up ! Place a cold pack on it for a few minutes.
What could you add into the batch to make it less sticky when the vanilla is added?
Steve's better than nothing đ
2:38 mix the vanilla and that powder together then put it in.
Hmmm. What if you added vanilla to the whole kettle before splitting it? If you add the vanilla while it's still on the burner it'll give the water in the vanilla a chance to boil off. Then when you split it, add the vanilla bean on the table for the vanilla half and the chocolate gets added in the kettle, just like you did here. I'm just thinking about how just about every chocolate recipe I've ever made has vanilla in it, and they'll both be together in your mouth anyway.
Cooper in our area a lot of people call idea as ideal.
she said smores @4:57 XDDD
Happy to see more of Karen and Steve!
I believe you mean Terry and Steve. Karen wasn't anywhere near making this candy. đ
Make a video of you guys making the smoors and cookiesđ«¶đ«¶or vanilla
Poor Cooper looks tiredâ€ïž
Make a Neapolitan by adding strawberry candy into the mix
Try using vanilla bean paste
Does the vanilla done in the kettle taste the same as the batch where it was added on the table? I'm curious if it gets cooked out more.
I got a question for you about this cookies and cream ribbon candy my question is wouldn't it be easier to make the vanilla on in the creamer like you make drops after that instead of pulling it out put the drop mixture in the middle that way you wouldn't have to pull
Is there anyway you can try image candy. You did it once with lofty pursuits and I thought it was done well.
when you get burned the first thing you do is Stop the burning
The chemistry between you all is fantastic I hope the boys donât think to find new jobs
Seriously! But I people grow!
Could you use vanilla paste rather than liquid vanilla? Less water/liquid content.
That bleep âuhgâ was hilarious and also disturbing.
Have you tried vanilla powder? It would keep the candy from seizing or being sticky.
Where are you located whereas you don't ship? Thank you, Interesting to observe. Happy new year!!
I just recently bought some candy it took me ever since you were in your basement until now for me to finally cave.
Could you add less water at the start? Would that make it less sticky?
Cute family
Hmmm, can you use Vanilla sugar instead of the liquid, or at least you may be able to reduce the amount of liquid?
Awesome wish I was there to try it.Itâs still to hot for me to buy some.God bless you all
My mum puts H's when they aren't there and doesn't pronounce them when they are supposed to me there đ€Š
