It's almost uncanny how much this doctor nailed Amber Heard's personality. Even more uncanny that Amber sat in court listening to this woman speak about her like this, and then later went on to exhibit those characteristics. Goes to show that she couldn't help but be who she is: a manipulative, narcissistic liar.

    • @zoso1980
      @zoso1980 Před 7 měsíci +1

Anyone who says she's a victim is a clout chaser, activist, feminist or misandrist. These are people who are wedded to their ideology of woman = victim of patriarchy & male abusers, and woman + victim + accusation = you DON'T question them. The dirty secret about the people that defend her is that they don't want to know FACTS. Facts were what was presented in Virginia. They go on and on about assertions with no evidence presented in the UK. What makes her defenders so frightening is that they don't believe in due process, they don't believe in evidence. Many of them straight up say they ignored anything out of Virginia. Instead, they'll deny a person due process and just because the person is a woman making the accusation, facts don't matter. Think about that, the people who claim to be defending the false victim are actually complicit in perpetuating abuse on Heard's victim, and promoting Heard's continued abuse. They are so ideologically blind and mentally dishonest, they can't see it. Heard picked the perfect group to manipulate. Heard can say or do anything and they'll defend her. This is why modern activism and sects of feminism are so problematic. The intellectual honesty isn't there, and doing the right thing. . Ideology over truth and justice. Meanwhile, they're perfectly willing to victimize someone in the name of the sisterhood and claim the high ground doing it. Scary.

What part of mental illness is a choice? You must recognize that mental illness, like Borderline Personality Disorder, is not self caused and its symptoms aren't controllable. To judge her for the symptoms of an severe illness is like demanding she be well. She can't. She can't be any other way than a borderline.
Through this trial, you learned so much about the way Amber's personality is due to her diagnosed mental illnesses, and how horrible it makes her personality. Now imagine for a second that's you and your illness, and that you can't control it and you have to be that person and live it every day with no alternative. Of course she's a victim, but not a victim of Johnny. She's a victim of severe illness she can't control or get rid of. Mental illness is very sad, but I think what's even more sad is when people treat those with mental illness as though their symptoms affecting others is intentional or chosen.
I dated a diagnosed Borderline before. It was hell for me... but that only made me realize how much more of a hell it had to be for them. Because it was them, morning, noon, and night. Day after day, year after year. And they couldn't escape it. It's a cruel prison.

    • @user-fe3iv2pu5p

@@skydriver5709 Borderline is a disorder NOT a mental illness learn the difference. A disorder is when behaviour is outside the normal range as where a mental illness is a chemical imbalance. I also dated a woman with borderline which is why I know you are full of shit. They still know right from wrong. They still make choices. If Amber were mentally ill as you describe it she never would of functioned high enough to be in the position she was. Disorder and mental illness are not the same thing at all.

    • @glamdolly30
      @glamdolly30 Před rokem +15

@@zazilicious I think you made a very perceptive point in your original post - Heard may or may not have received good advice from her legal team, we'll never know (if Bredehoft & Rottenborn's lacklustre performances in court are anything to go by, I suspect not).
But even if they did give her fantastic guidance behind the scenes, I think AH is such an extreme and hopeless example of a narcissistic abuser, she's unable to take direction. As an extreme narc, she's arrogant and deluded enough to assume she can persuade the majority with her lies. So the car crash testimony we and the jury witnessed from her was inevitable - she went her own way, convinced she knew best.
But not only was she working to a bad script because she was reciting her own, poorly conceived fiction, she wasn't capable of delivering it in any believable way.
It doesn't say much for her talent as a professional actor! They say the best actors possess powerful natural empathy for others. I believe Johnny Depp grew up as an Empath, because of the severe narcissistic abuse he received and witnessed first hand from his mother as a child. It taught him to be sensitive to the suffering - and myriad moods - of others, and that is a powerful quality that informs his acting talent, and specifically his chameleon-like gift for diverse characterisations.
Speaking after the recent trial, Johnny Depp said Amber Heard's problems began with one lie - her decision to file a totally unnecessary restraining order against him pretending that he was abusive and she was afraid of him (when he was many miles away in Europe), supported by her appearance at the filing of that TRO showcasing a fake facial bruise (surrounded by media who despite her fierce denials, were obviously tipped off by her team).
Heard's decision to file for divorce and, heinously file the TRO, were as a direct result of HIS decision to end the marriage. Reject a narcissist, and all hell's let loose! Many victims literally don't even survive (the chances of the abuser killing the victim rocket, after the victim ends the relationship/threatens to end it). I believe Amber Heard was capable of killing Johnny Depp, and that he may only be alive today because he left the US for Europe right after telling her their marriage was over.
Enraged at his rejection, with him abroad so she couldn't vent her anger at him in person, she did the next best thing and took her power back by pretending she had instigated their split and worse, alleging she did so because of his violence - a false claim which would later be exaggerated to include a shocking story of sexual assault with a bottle.
Depp said the TRO was the first big lie, from which all her additional, escalating lies and embellishments alleging domestic and sexual violence followed. I think once she started down that road of demonising Depp with false allegations, she couldn't stop, and not only doubled down but added new false accounts of depravities he'd supposedly committed. She fully expected to not only get away with it, but thrive personally and professionally, as a result of her vendetta.
Bolstered by the new #MeToo movement, Heard exploited her manufactured victim status to invent a useful role for herself as a professional victims' advocate, women's rights spokesperson and #MeToo figurehead. It's clear she planned to milk her burgeoning allegations against Depp and their historic, short marriage indefinitely - and early indications were she was establishing success on this new career path.
She got herself a lot of sympathetic publicity, magazine covers and press by painting Johnny Depp as a woman-beating villain - something in his 59 years on the planet, no other female had alleged. Depp's libel action against the Sun newspaper for branding him 'a wife beater' failed, and the Sun's star witness, his ex-wife Amber Heard, was able to give a gloating media conference outside the London court speaking of her 'victimhood' and the support she had received from the public. Pride comes before a fall!
The prestigious ACLU appointed Heard as one of it's Ambassadors - they also wrote the Op-Ed for the Washington Post which appeared in her name, specifically alleging 'sexual violence'. It was cynically timed to promote the new 'Aquaman' movie.
It was also, clearly very damaging to Depp, and the point at which he decided ENOUGH and sued his ex-wife directly. It was a high risk strategy, and many legal professionals were convinced he would lose, after the UK judgement went against him (the judge was fooled by Heard's perjury that she donated his $7m divorce settlement to charity - and from that misapprehension, he decided her allegations of abuse by Depp were 'substantially true').
The UK verdict was a miscarriage of justice, so rather than deter Depp it only put fire in his belly to pursue Heard in the US over her even more defamatory Op-Ed. The level of evidence submitted over 6 weeks was obviously way more, and it soon became clear to viewers at home - and presumably the jury too - that Heard had perpetrated a hoax for her own benefit.
That hoax has now backfired on her, as Depp warned her it would, 5 years ago. She cannot say he didn't tell her what would happen if she continued to lie about him and the marriage. I'm just glad we get to see an all-too rare spectacle - a violent narcissist self-destructing. Usually they destroy everyone but themselves! Johnny Depp's victory is a victory for anyone who has suffered at the hands of a narcissistic abuser like Amber Heard.
All she can do is continually double-down on her lies with her recent, hour-long diatribe at the jury, the media and anyone else she can blame (no doubt her lawyers will be next). Narcissists as extreme as that cannot accept blame for anything, therefore they cannot change. If she had any hope of healing, she would retire from the public stage, and do some serious self-reflection. She is entirely incapable of it. Her future looks bleak. And I have to say, I fear for the safety and well being of her child.

@@Balletified Yes narcissistic abusers like Amber Heard will ruthlessly exploit anything to further their own ends. The #MeToo movement is a gift for narcissistic abusive females like Heard, who masquerade as victims. Most abuse victims ARE women, so she was able to count herself among their number and automatically be believed by a great many people.
The truth, as this court case fully proved, is she's an ABUSER. And her narcissistic abuse of her ex husband continued, years after their divorce, as she branded him a woman beater and rapist - fully intending to ruin his name and his life.
Heard planned to launch an entire career for herself (in tandem with her struggling acting career), as an 'abuse survivor' and #MeToo/women's rights figurehead, with a very famous 'abuser' in megastar Johnny Depp. The newspaper article she wrote (or rather the ACLU charity of which she had recently been made an Ambassador, wrote for her), was an early promotion of her new career.
Thankfully Johnny Depp was shrewd enough to see where she was going, and that her master plan was to abuse his name indefinitely for her own self promotion as an 'abuse survivor'. He realised he had to sue her, if he was ever going to stop her milking their 15 month, failed marriage for her own ends. As his lawyer Ben Chew said in court, discussing the newspaper article over which Depp sued:
"She didn't name him - she didn't have to. Who is interested in anything Amber Heard has to say, if she isn't talking about Johnny Depp?"
It is appalling Amber Heard has doubled-down on her lies since Johnny Depp's victory, and still claims to speak for victims and women. She doesn't speak for either - because she is no victim, and most women who report domestic abuse are telling the TRUTH!
What she is, is a violent domestic abuser and pathological liar. I truly believe if Johnny Depp had not left the US for a European music tour immediately after telling her the marriage was over, Amber Heard was capable of killing him. I think we could have seen her telling exactly these same lies about his supposed violent assaults, as she claimed self-defence in a murder trial.
Johnny may well have been found with a knife sticking out of his heart - perhaps the same large knife she gifted him, with the words "Until Death' inscribed on the blade (yes, Amber was so 'terrified' of 'abusive' Johnny Depp, she gave him a knife! GIMME A BREAK!)
I'm just thankful it was a libel and not a murder case, as it so easily could have been. Amber Heard has already ended one life - she was drunk behind the wheel of a car aged 17, and killed her best friend in the ensuing crash. Chilling!

Even though I find this post a year later, I appreciate your meaningful post. I lived with an untreated BPD. I saw the raw emotional intensity, the intense reactions and situations that arose from it. The reactions filtered through triggers that weren't necessarily reality, but being a trigger created a distorted understanding then led to chaos. I understood it as much as someone who lives with a BPD watching it can, but doesn't have it. Perception, seeing situations not as they are, but through a distorted prism. Creates a massive disconnect between how you react to the world and others reactions. You exemplify what makes the situation better or spin out control: self-awareness and being mindful. It takes strength to look in the mirror and recognize something isn't right internally, and seek help. You create a situation family, friends and spouses can work WITH you. They can help you on your path. They can be allies. Amber on the other hand, her BPD and histronic sides don't allow for that inner self-awareness and internal admission she's not ok with her mental processes to exist. Her deflection and outright lack of acknowledgement for anything, and most sinister, taking real situations twisting or flipping them into an abuse narrative so she doesn't have to face the shame of her abusive behavior is monstrous. I understand she may not be doing it with malice, it's literally her rewriting situations to not have to face the intense feelings it provokes. I understand she's primarily in reactive mode because her emotional landscape is volatile. She can't acknowledge she's not perfect. It's too painful. Everyone else is the problem. That creates a world where people are just tools for attention, clout, resources and publicity. She's very much a hopeless case because at her core she can't bond with humans on a emotional level. You see that with JD. She's used manipulation and every form of control to avoid confronting her flaws, it's who she is now. She'll never change by choice. She unable to look at herself beyond how she thinks. She's the worst in untreated BPD, that you can't even address the problem because the problem is a trigger and causes a response that doesn't promote solutions, it makes more chaos. It's funny she would talk of "solutions," but her solutions only made more chaos and violence. Fighting and accepting violence was love. The vast majority of people do not think that way. Huge reflection of her distorted inner thought patterns. You can't as a non-BPD be around someone with that radical of a distorted view of internal relationships. And, if you try to discuss it, it's a trigger and a blowout fight ensues. I think Amber is actually a danger to her child. That child will need emotional normalcy and Amber won't be able to provide it. When that little girl starts triggering Amber by exerting her own identity, it's going to turn into a war zone. Or, the child will turn into Whitney, a complete and utter accomplice with her moral code beat out of her. Such as Whitney knows it's a lie, she protects Amber out of loyalty and expectation no matter who else gets hurt.

The more I’ve re-watched Dr.Curry’s testimony, the more I’m struck by how totally credible she is (that was merely reinforced once I’d viewed Amber Heard’s testimony). Dr. Curry went into such painstaking detail to explain the processes and procedures that she follows in her role as a psychologist, as well as making it sufficiently easy for the jury to understand. She had completely nailed Amber’s behaviour/performance in her descriptions.
In stark contrast to this, however, when Dr Hughes was giving *her* testimony, I was soon struck by how unreliable an “expert” witness she seems - she was SO immediately dismissive of Dr. Curry’s profiling methods and observations, let alone the plethora of other existing evidence and information collated by other medical professionals that she had reviewed. I have to say, I found myself getting increasingly frustrated and seriously annoyed by her dismissal of so much pertinent information.

These aren’t “faults”. This is a recognized disorder. This is what I don’t like about this trial and its coverage. We are stigmatizing and already highly stigmatized personality disorder, one that disproportionately affects women. Abusive men and misogynistic men everywhere will use this to insult and berate women. It’s already happening. I’m so worried about the precedent this sets.

When she describes situations, it is like she is describing scenes from a movie, not actually remembering real life memories. And I guess that is natural. She plays a movie in her head and is trying to describe it. But since it never happened it is very hard to keep up with all the angles and previous statements, etc.

I tuned into the trial daily at some point and watched Dr. Curry's testimony, along with the rest of the trial as it happened. I remember thinking exactly this -- Dr. Curry very directly said this is what she saw/detected/diagnosed in Amber Heard. And there she was...doing exactly that. It wasn't like she was describing incidental behavior, or behavior one might do in a situation. The indictment is strong because those behaviors clearly come out to achieve certain consistent goals.

This has to be incredibly difficult for Johnny to listen to her. My ex husband used to lie about me to our kids all the time. They would come back on Sunday nights and tell me all of these weird stories that NEVER happened. Then after I asked him, he’d say he never said that to the kids and that they were making it up. It was a weird cycle but my kids finally understood what he was trying to do without me ever saying one bad word about him. My point? Thank GOD they never had children out of this union. I only mention her being my half-sister because I have three full brothers (one of whom died a few years back), two half-brothers and a half-sister and she's 46, so she's like 17 years older than me. It's weird having a niece and nephew that are only like 6-7 years younger than me.

Then taunts him when he mentions some Travis guy came and witnessed some dispute and she tells him to go fu** himself and suck Travis's di** etc.
