NOTE: Just to further specify - The controller that came with the original blade Infinity fans DOES work with the reverse blades, if that’s wasn’t clear. BUT, the single pack reverse fans don’t come with a controller, nor the right cable to plug in to the original controller.

I want to buy 6x reverse fans, 1x regular fan and 1x pack of 3 regular fans. Will the controller in the pack of 3 work with all of them, and do I need to buy extra cables? I might've misunderstood this: "nor the right cable to plug in to the original controller"
Yes it will! That’s exactly what I did. The 3pack+controller will come with the 4 cables needed to connect either the regular OR reverse blades to that controller.

A small correction - The reverse fans have 9 blades not 8! Also using the same fans in my Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo!
Careful on the 140 Infinity. If your case says it supports 140s it may NOT support the Lian Li Infinity fans. The cages of the fans are a little larger than normal cages.
What’s your fan configuration? The side and the bottom fans are intake and the radiator is exhaust? Is that correct?
What case you used?
So are the top fans on Radiator your exhaust fans? And are the top fans the standard or reverse fans?
I think I am going to do these fans over Corsair… you mentioned financial sense… Corsair seems way more expensive and these fans honestly look way cleaner even more so than the QL and QX from Corsair. I just got the Lian li o11 razer edition and I feel like these fans over Corsair are the way to go! As long as I can fully customize still like the Corsair icue system promises
I agree, I have always thought that the Lian Li Infinity fans were the best looking on the market. You can get pretty crazy with the customization for these fans, although I usually end up using a static color most of the time.

Yes…the reverse fans should be considered as intake fans.

Can you please tell me what desktop case you have and what motherboard are you using and how do you have it mounted vertically because it looks like you just plugged it in the motherboard or did you have to buy cables to mount your gpu that way? The motherboard itself is installed regularly, however, I am using a vertical GPU bracket to change the orientation of my graphics card:

So with PC fans, the air is blowing one way and the only way to switch airflow direction, is to rotate the fan 180 degrees. So depending on orientation of the fan, you either see one side of the fan or the other. The reverse fan makes it so you can see the better looking side of the fan. I realize this is hard to explain through text. In the video at the beginning, my bottom and side mounted fans are set as intake, and because of that, we see the back side of the fan. With the reverse blades, I can have the airflow orientation be the correct way (intake), and still see the nicer looking side of the fan.

They definitely aren’t Noctua level quiet but they aren’t bad. Aesthetics are definitely the selling point with these.

Just a little note, because the issue with the fans is now frustrating me. The cable you talk about at 5:05 *does not* come with the controller! These cables are only included in the three-pack of normal infinity fans.
That’s strange, because when I checked Lian Li’s website, it showed that the package contents came with these 4 cables, along with the controller. I apologize for the confusion and the headache. I would 100% reach out to Lian Li and I wouldn’t be surprised if they provided you with these cables for free

I have ordered a bunch of reverse fans V1 and have no idea how to connect these to my controller. The single cables are not available.

but if you bought 3pcs in 1 pack regular infinity fans you dont need to buy the separate fan hub for the reverse blade, right? coz regular infinity fans already have the fan hub. am i correct?
That is correct! I should have specified further on that. It is the same controller as before
@@DanKamYouKnowactually i almost bought a separate controller..i will assemble my own pc this month.. then i checked the unboxing video of the lian li 3pcs in 1pack in CZcams to checked if there is a fan hub included in the box.. that's why i double check it by asking you. coz im not sure as well..😆.. yeah I think u need to specify it in ur vid so others will not waste there money buying extra hub.. coz i don't think buyers will only buy the reverse blade. they will definitely buy the regular blade for the exhaust purpose

If only i hard realised before i bought all fans with the same intake direction that there was a specific way you had to have the fans directing, now i have 2 correct way fans and the rest of the infinity mirror fans are not facing the right way .-.

No. Only the bottom and side fans were swapped for the reverse blades.

Lian Li have made couple of weird decisions from my view lately. There are currently no 140mm version of these fans as of yet (I assume they will be coming though). But with the release of the 011D EVO XL the drive cage only takes slim 15mm fans. Lian li do not make a slim fan as far as I can find..... strange.
I agree. I also find it strange that they don’t have a 3-pack for the reverse blades either, I guess they’re assuming everyone has the controller from the original ones.
@@DanKamYouKnow the problem I have with that is that I want to use signal RGB and they say that you can't hav more than 3 or 4 fans on a single controller or signal RGB will not work with them
also the 120INF's are not even white they are grey,
I have used SignalRGB with all 4 fan plugs used on the controller, with no issues. I didn’t have to do anything within SignalRGB for this to happen, it just worked
@@DanKamYouKnow yes I think 4 fans is the limit per controller though but if you have 6 or 7 fans you need to use 2 controller,s that is what signal RGB says anyway but I don't have any experience with it.
so if you need 3 reverse fans which I do it will get pricy because they are more as singles plus I will need to buyanother controller
I will try it first with 6 on 1 controller but they said it wouldn't work right or get the full capability unles you don't excede 4 fans per controler
I am really not sure why tit is or what the down side is if you do have 6 fans on one contorlle rmaybe the signal will drop off or something , I wonder if a level shifter would help the issue, it would be pretty chapa nd easy to rig up an inline level shifter adapter
sometimus with WLED if you donlt use a level shifter there are problems but it is usually when the controller is wired really far from the end of the strip or it is a really long run of LED's but 6 fans should come anywhere neard close to having the number of neopixels that would cause an issue.
I wish I knew a more specif reason but this is all signal RGB said and they seemd to place the blame directly with Lian LI
@@andreamitchell4758 The controller can support 4 linked fans through one port. So one controller can technically power 16 fans. My controller is powering 3 groups of 3 fans, and one single fan. Just tried SignalRGB and it works fine for me.

I’m not sure. I have noticed that Lian Li and NZXT are notorious for majority of their products being out of stock. They must have small manufacturing teams making all of their items.

I think you commented on my FB post. NZXT AIO is powered by motherboard USB header and Lian Li fans are powered by Lian Li controller that comes with the fans
