  • A "Kinda Sort Of" budget alternative to pricey Corsair, Thermaltake and Lian Li fans. This fan is not on the same level as these pricier fans, but with a top range RPM of 2000 and it's modular nature and what I think is good looking RGB Lighting, it is a cheaper option worth taking a look at.
    I've wanted to check out this Infinity Mirror style for awhile now, and it is cool looking in my opinion.

    I just bought 4 of these for my son's computer. They look really cool, and they are priced well.

    I would have been much more likely to give those a try if they hadn't put their logo in the mirror. I hate overt branding on my components. For this very same reason, I passed on the asus Prime ap201 case.

    I got 9 of these and the reset switch works perfectly. The only thing I’m wondering is there a way to control the speed with the reset switch?

    • @HardwareArtisan
      @HardwareArtisan  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Hi Nicetrycole, Awesome stuff. The reset switch unfortunately will not control the speed of the fans, just the RGB lighting. How you will control the fans depends on where you connect them, if you use a motherboard PWM connector, you will use your motherboard software to control fan speed. I like the idea of having a button on the front panel to control fan speed, but that won't work on this controller. Thanks for watching!!!

    Will they work if I don't use the included controller and use a separate hub plugged into my motherboard's ARGB header?

    • @HardwareArtisan
      @HardwareArtisan  Před 5 dny

      Hi arniejonassen, yes, you can connect these to a different 5v ARGB controller. It's using just a standard 3 pin 5v ARGB connector. Using an ARGB hub connected to your motherboard for control will work fine. I wouldn't overload a single port with more than 3 fans, but that should work great!
      Good Luck, have fun!! Thanks for watching!!

    I'm ordering 9 of these for my case. I have enough 4 pin headers on my motherboard but only 1 5v argb header. Would it be fine to daisy chain all 9 to 1 argb header? Or would I need a hub for them?

    • @HardwareArtisan
      @HardwareArtisan  Před 19 dny

      Hi spentcasing3990, for 9 of these, I would recommend using a powered rgb hub to split them up. Just an inexpensive small one would do just fine. Thanks for watching!!!

    Do they look nice, Yes! Do i am going to use it? No! Why? Well, i think the TZMRIT Interstellar-V2 are much nicer and come for about 40 euro for a 3 pack with chain more etc. for someone who is in need of 9 fans i think the TZMRIT Interstellar-V2 is a little bit better.

    He lost me with plugging it into reset on the case. Still trying to understand that

    • @HardwareArtisan
      @HardwareArtisan  Před 23 dny

      Hi progamingsmurf, sorry I lost ya! Basically, your case has a reset switch and normally you plug the 2 pin cable for that reset switch into your motherboards connector for the reset switch and it works normally, you can reset your pc.
      You can take that same cable and plug it into this controller for the COSMIQ fans instead, the controller has a small connector that you can plug the reset swith into. You then use your reset switch on your case to simply change the lighting on the fans. It just signals the controller to change lighting effects.
      It's a better alternative to this controller since this controller doesn't have a remote and it's usually not accessable in your case.
      Now, you don't have to use your cases reset switch, you can purchase an aftermark reset/power switch on amazon that would do the same thing if you still want your case to have functionality for the reset switch.
      I've seen alot of RGB controllers leverage the same function, it works well and is a good solution for changing lighting.
      I hope that helped clear it up. Thanks for watching!!!
