    UPDATE:1 year and still cranks within the first 2-3 pulls. Probably will buy another when this one finally does bite the dust czcams.com/users/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX . No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.

      @danmackintosh6325 Před 6 lety +30

      Terminxman, solid colours back then wouldn't have had a clearcoat at all just a cellulose colour coat. Same reason why cutting/buffing works so well on faded/flat paint on stuff like that, also the reason why it's much more important to wax older paint jobs regularly. I like the fact that you can buy something that looks a real pile all faded out and milky, get it cheap & spend an afternoon making it look like something that cost 3x as much :)

    I am so glad you went ahead and saved the F250 Jay! Way to nice to scrap and after what we can see in Part 1 - much nicer than expected! Looking forward to seeing a few more videos on it. It appears we will all be quite impressed when it is done. This is going to be a lot of fun to watch! Thank You Jay! Cool! In our "throw away" society - love seeing this. I like that the pressure washer was also a "throw away" and helping to bring the F250 back to life! :-)

    • @cuddles6938
      @cuddles6938 Před 6 lety +5

      We are a throw away society and the cost usually of fixing is nearly half something else with a Korean name. I saw recently a 50 year old stove that still works, now days you can't get anything to last anymore. Sadly the Kenmore washer and dryer we had lasted 30 years but the dryer had a few plastic roller parts which would wear out and Kenmore never made the replacement parts in metal. The repair was $260 later after the Sears repair guy had to scrounge around to find the part to fix it with. I'm sure someone with a 3D printer could have made it today in 10 minutes.

    • @marlinmr7
      @marlinmr7 Před 6 lety +3

      So very true Tekreviews but it depends on the product/item too as far as it relates to the cost. In the case of this truck - a new Ford F250 Regular Cab 8" box is easily $30,000 and the new one will come with way to much electronic non-needed garbage.
      Nope - lots of things are built to be too disposable and also to keep sales going.
      Your washing machine example is good and that must be a good repair guy as lots of them would have never taken the time to scounge around for the part.
      Personally - I buy Speed Queen because they are built like a tank - all steel dears/parts. Speed Queen Washer/Dryer that was in my home when I bought it in 1999 was from 1984 and to help my nephew out - gave it to him and his wife - they still using them - then bought new Speed Queen washer/dryer about 6 years ago. They are still using the one from 1984 and now have two kids in addition to themselves and it just keeps going.....
      Would just love to get my hands on this F250 when Jay is done with it!!!!!

    • @cuddles6938
      @cuddles6938 Před 6 lety +1

      Yes I heard the new Speed Queen models are not that great, stick with the older ones. My Mom has those new LG front loaders and the damn thing doesn't dry blankets all that well, even after 3 times through. You might save water but nothing gets cleaned and doesn't dry as easy as the older ones.

    • @marlinmr7
      @marlinmr7 Před 6 lety +1

      Yup - I heard, read, and watched a video or two on the new Speed Queens - agree. Mine are the older style and should last my lifetime I hope....
      Similar to my interest in this F250 vs. the new F250. I would take this older one any day over the newer one! :-)

    Ford trucks will provide years of service if you treat them right. Next thing I would do is change out ALL the fluids since its clearly been sitting, then check fuel injectors, spark plugs, air filter, belts, etc.

    Old county/municipal work truck is what it looks like- bought a 4WD ("Off Road" package), '95 F150 in "City of Oyster Bay Yellow" from San Juan County, took it off the island for probably the first time in years. Replaced the IAS motor, the fuel pressure regulator and the throttle position sensor and the 351 drove like a dream. Put in an XLT seat, re-dyed the interior plastic, put in a decent sound system, put the chrome grille & bumpers on, Warn foglights, 2nd hand rims and aggressive tires...drove it for 2 years on & off, sold it for $4250

    Wow, Orange paint looks good! Thought the paint would be faded out. F250,Dual tanks, Good tires. What does the interior and engine bay look like. One thing you might want to do is wet the truck first. Then hit it with Turtle Wax Extreme car wash. Then step back a little. If your power washer is very high powered it could strip the paint in places. Then hit it with Meguiars Compound with a orbitor polisher .Then Meguiars Ceramic Hybird wax. That stuff really protects the finish. It just came out 2 months ago! Use it on my 2 cars that sit outside. Great job! I am detailing a older bread truck that has mold on it too. So far it's turning out great. Just started my own detailing business. Shawn

    I just got a a 95 150 for a dollar. It runs extremely good. I'm planning to fix it up and start driving it. That's an awesome looking truck. I thought mine was orange but it's purple! Lol
