Really good walk through. Also, that looks like a great place to ride around and test out bikes. That 25% grade looked intense, great to see the XPeak was able to handle it.

Yes I’m happy with the bikes power and climbing. We do have some great trails right my area.
      Thanks for your comment.

I considered an X Peak because I have a Lectric bike already, and their reputation is very good for their responses to inquiries, and for service and warranty issues. The X Peak is attractive for several reasons. I went with another brand this time. Ride safely, ride often and enjoy the rides.

Putting heavy weight in the front basket will cause wobble. Touring bikes have low bags that are even with the axle because that makes a steady ride.

Well for me i didnt have wobble unless i had hands loosely or off the grips. The interesting issue i had my wife try it and she was like "something is loose on this bike, it's wobbly", she is 5'-8" and 130 lbs, so pretty light and nothing in the baskets.

If you take four of the bolts from the frame, (two behind the seat and two from the main frame where the bottle cage would go) you can swap those with the rack bolts. In my opinion the head of the bolts are much better suited for that rack setup. An added bonus is if you have the high step version and want to mount the lock on the top bar, the bolts are longer in the rear rack and will allow you to mount that.

I’ll look at this. One thing I should have said is the bolts maybe have been over torqued and just sheared.

If you’re making a tight right turn, your left pedal will naturally be in the 6 o’clock position and your foot will be out of the way of the front tire. I’m 6’6”” size 15 boots never a problem with tire clearance.

Try this on an actual single track steep up and your pedaling. My toe has touched the fender multiple times. I actually took it up some major single track rough yesterday and touched couple times. I shouldn’t have to think about it that much. I guess I’m talking technical riding. In all my years riding mtb I’ve never encountered this. I’m wondering if the fender is just big enough so I touch. If no one else has issues I’ll have to rethink this. Thanks for the comment

@@jamesboldshasta8488 or try just doing a u turn on the street from a stop. unless you do that throttle only, you will have to do at least a full rotation of pedaling and the fender will be in the way. no need for technical trails.
      this is not normal.

Lots of people reporting a death wobble with the step thru. Have you noticed this? Can you ride no hands at speed?

I was going down a paved road at 25 and removed my hands to adjust camera and got a major wobble and quickly put hands on bars and it stopped. No wobble ever with hands on.

Lots of wobble. I’m getting used to it and the more I ride it gets better but it could go crazy at any moment it seems.
Step through with no top crossbar to stabilize it.
Is the frame just too weak?

I wonder if lighter riders have this? The steering rake is steep so it’s fast turning. Interesting.
