    I have watched hundreds of ebike reviews. I just realized this is the first review I've seen by a female. What a pleasant change. Great job and I look forward to more reviews 👍🏻

    This was a really good video. It really brings it home to check all the tightnesses of all the nuts and screws. Not that yours wasn't tight but if you don't check them at least the first few rides, they can leave you stranded. This happened to me the other day on my wife's new trike. her fender got loose and I didn't have a tool on me. The one bolt fell off and the other sheare off. Anyways, your videos are really hitting good. Keep up the good work. 🙂

    Friendly advice, next time you hear or feel something might be wrong pull over and look the bike over. This could save yourself from injury or further damage.

    One of the things that I have learned about assembly on new E-bikes, always check all the other nuts and bolts on the bike for tightness. It has saved me many times from accidents or strange noises. And by the way, your choice of color with your nails are beautiful! I truly enjoy your perspective on how a E-bike rides and performs(speed can be reset on programming to 28 mph). Keep up the good work, you have a great tutor.

    Check to see if your rear fender is rubbing against your tire.

  • @Toolchoice26
    @Toolchoice26 Před 4 měsíci

    Swap out the short bolts on the frame (for the bottle cage and behind the seat) with the bolts for the rear rack. The bigger round head is better suited to hold a little more pressure on the rear rack and should remedy the bolt head shearing off issue. ***An extra bonus is then you have bolts long enough to mount the lock housing to the top bar on the high step model.

    I have a new Xpeak and felt the same vibration issue on seat. It almost seemed electric or static electricity. It was not constant, came and went. Did you find an answer to this?

    • @EbikeReviews
      @EbikeReviews  Před 3 měsíci +1

      The step thru's are un ballanced. Its a big problem. So far Lectric is telling people not to install the baskets, to lock the front fork, and check the tire pressure. They are offering $150 in cargo accessories such as Panier bags hoping people will go away.

    • @cbamberger117
      @cbamberger117 Před 3 měsíci +1

      so I guess they are saying that the vibration is a balance issue? It sure felt like a very low electric charge to me! Bad weather has kept me off the bike, but I'll keep an eye on that issue when I get the bike out again. @@EbikeReviews

      @@EbikeReviewsI rode a step-thru for a year, 700 miles. You're absolutely right, unbalanced is the word. I got rid of it and got a step-over instead. I think it's a lot stronger design. Mine has 4 extra braces most step-thru don't have.

    Typically you could use an "easy-out" to remove the broken part of the bolt. Those are fairly small. I think you might be better off just drilling out the entire bolt and threads. Then use a bolt with a nut and lock washer.

    • @EbikeReviews
      @EbikeReviews  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yes I was wondering if a small drill bit would snap trying to get it out. I'm sure its in there fairly tight.

      @@EbikeReviews I unrolled every single piece of packing. I still had all of the packing with no exceptions and contacted electric and requested a photo or direction to where I should find this in the packing and they rolled over and said oh maybe you didn't get it and they're on back order.

    • @EbikeReviews
      @EbikeReviews  Před 3 měsíci

      Ours was in the long packaging box near the front forks. It looked like a corner packaging piece but the fender was inside. They are probably on backorder because everyone is throwing them away :-) @@rideshareog

      @rideshareog Před 3 měsíci

      @@EbikeReviews then I guess the robot they have automatically replying to questions is part of the problem. I contacted them asking "where in packing is it?" They gave no answer. I still have 100% of the packaging unrolled and opened every piece of dunnage, I got no fender. After 23 years of working at Harley Davidson and PDI's on nearly 16,000 motorcycles, it wasn't my first rodeo.

    Yup, AiPAS Bikes did a good job building this bike for Lectric. Oh, you didn't know that Lectric is really just a marking company, not an American eBike manufacture? Well, it's true, Lectric really sells Chinese build bikes with their name printed in the side. What a scam.

    • @kennethkilpatrick3758
      @kennethkilpatrick3758 Před 4 měsíci +1

      Aren't most ebikes Chinese built these days? What matters is if a company demands quality components and construction from its Chinese partner. If a company uses lesser quality parts to get a certain price point to capture market share then hopefully potential buyers will do their due diligence watching good reviewers. Unfortunately a lot of people want the lowest price and often get what they pay for.

    • @Bobster986
      @Bobster986 Před 4 měsíci

      Yes, but I think you missed my point. It's not bad if a Chinese company manufactures whatever, but it is a bad thing when a company claims to be a factory they're not to deceives their customers (did I mention and charges more for the same exact product?) and lying that they are made in America. That is the BIG point here, not that someone sells products made in China.

    • @Galiuros
      @Galiuros Před 3 měsíci +2

      I have to agree. I never troll but this needs to be said. As a cyclist (commuting everyday) I had to cringe. Here is what bothers me. 1) Not wearing a helmet. 2) Riding on sidewalks. 3) Riding on the wrong side of the road. 4) Not signaling. 5) Riding too close to parked vehicles.
      As soon as the "scraping" noise started I would have stopped to see if it was something obvious rather than ride on and possibly causing damage. But, I liked the idea of such a light electric bike. I'll be buying one soon to use while traveling. I'm not sure but the limited speed may have to do with the settings. Perhaps there is something in the manual that addresses it.
      Again, I'm not trying to judge but this ride sets a bad example for how to ride a bike. Thanks for the review.
