The new 2024 Lectric One E-bike with its Pinion C1.6i Smart Shift gearbox and its Gates carbon belt puts this e-bike at a whole new level! This electric bike is rocking a 750w geared hub motor that’s peaking out at over 1,300w and with the low weight to watt ratio this bike is sure to launch you off the start and boost you up hills when you smash the throttle! It can also reach speeds up to 28Mph with PAS!
With the automatic shift feature of the Pinion Smart.shift gearbox this ebike is a dream shifting through gears while eliminating the need for chain and derailleur maintenance.

Me with my tricked out 2.0 that has 8700 miles and is still going strong!
Good vid, except for when you almost clipped me! 😝
Yeah I felt bad about that but I did say Sorry 😞lol.
I had the original [1.0] in 2020 and put 1,200 miles on it. Jeremiah, your reviews helped me pull the trigger on the $800 bike back then. It was the most money that I had ever spent on a bicycle and I didn't own a car back then. It made the hills in my little town manageable and non-factors for getting around. I could go from one end of town to the other in a loop and not run out of electricity. Unfortunately it rains a solid three months where I live so I got a little car and sold off my bike for $500 after eighteen months of ownership. I miss that bike, on sunny ☀️ days. Jeremiah and KevCentral are awesome bike guys!!! Sorry for mixing up my biblical J dudes 😋
Thanks but Who is Joshua?
@@JeremiahMcintosh thanks for setting me straight !!!
lol no worries.🤣😂
Hopefully you've sold it to a friend. 500 bucks is a good deal. I love my 1.0 but yeah I don't ride it in the rain,if I can help it 😂
Pretty cool footage on that group ride. Thought it was great how you were late getting back to it and someone called out your name!
Thank you for the review. Blessings to you.
Thank you and to you as well!
one of the best reviewers out there!!
I predicted this bike: drive belt and automatic shifting! I'm surprised Lectric pulled it together so quickly. It looks amazing. This is a game changer. All that's missing is 40 mph top speed when unlocked to compete with Wired. Maybe it has this... Looking forward to the next video about this bike. Great work Lectric!
It has no range 😢.
can u ride or padel it without the use battery
I’m sure you can but to be honest that’s one thing I didn’t test and I should have. When I get one for full testing I’ll definitely be testing that because I’m curious if the battery was completely dead if it will still shift gears.
@@JeremiahMcintosh ok test it let's see
@@jordanspark1754 the gearbox has 500 shifts after the battery dies, or something like that, is what they said. It must have its own battery or power source that can keep going after the bike battery dies
It’s a nice e-bike and an even better review. Lectric breaks the mold in introducing into the mass market the pinion system. Lectric continues to get better.
Very nice like to have one but I just bought the 3.0 last summer 😢
When you review, please do an inadept on the LCD display. I wonder if it has user resettable Tripmeter, customizable sensitivity, multiple PAS options.
Out of all the other youtubers at the event, you are the one with the best overall impression.
Thank you. I appreciate that!
I have three Lectric. 1.0 ,2.0 ,Xpreimun I'm now a owner of a Wallke H9. If you want power and range get a Wallke H7 step thru or a Wallke H9 AWD, no contest at all game over!!!!!!!!!!!
Did you see my review of the Wallke H9 AWD? I also have the H7 AWD coming soon!
I did and 2 others on the H9 I love Lectric but the bike I always wanted is what Wallke made!!!!@@JeremiahMcintosh
Nice bike but idk if it’s worth the upgrade from the 3.0 LR gotta try it for myself too tho nice review fam! ⚡️
Without the front suspension and ability to fold not sure it really worth the money. Certainly cool features. Excited to see them trickle down to other budget models. BUT, the real question, can we swap the display to a older model?
Add full suspension (or front suspension plus suspension seat post), and this is going to be a massive seller. If they implement this with their cargo bike, it is going to be a huge seller.
Its a commuter bike for paved roads, not for off road riding. But that said, I always add on a suspension seat post
Where do you get the camera chest strap?
At top speeds did you experience ghost pedaling, or did the transmission with the programmable cadence eliminate that?
It wasn’t bad. You can see how fast I was pedaling at top speed in the video at about the 7:45 mark.
I'd want a step-over. With significant weight on the rear rack, step through ebikes flex like a wet noodle. I rode one last year, 700 miles. If you're not hauling groceries on the rack they're ok. I don't like step through ebikes.
How fast can you go in pedal assist 1 ?
Looks very “Arizona” in Arizona!
Shipping is now August. Ordered mine on march 28 they changed shipping date 3 times without notification. I am canceling my order today three strikes and I’m out
One major feature that I want to see is a front suspension upgrade to add on to the bike.
Great review . Covered a lot with that short time of getting to try this e-bike . I was hoping for something different . They keep sticking with there very small battery pack . At that price still not UL certified , compliant not the same as certified . Still using very low cost 18650 cells . My lectric 3.0 already does throttle only speed of 20mph and hard pedaling to reach 28mph , closer to 25-26mph to maintain . I was at least hoping this new one would easily get to and maintain 28mph but its just like all the rest . $2000 and no suspension . I do not think i even saw a suspension seat post . Basically it feels like paying $2000 for a more fancy way to change gears . I cannot ride an e-bike if the brakes are squeeking . That generally means cheaper metal of the rotor and or brake pads .
Review was very well done . E-bike is a hard pass for me . Possibly in a later group ride local , if i find someone who has bought it i may try it out to see if the ride matches my first impression .
Great Content! Once they have a front suspension in the 2.0 version, it may work. It levels up others, Ride1up, Aventon, to have their own versions. Good job Lectric!
So much to monkey with. Would be nice if it was a 60V 25 ah battery with a 40 amp controller and a 1,200 watt hub motor. Front suspension.
Yeah , one of my thoughts was $2000 with a very tiny battery pack . I think it is the only or nearly the only $2000 e-bike with a very small 48v 10ah battery . I would not even make it on one of my rides with that . Battery would die well before getting back home .
Heard that.
Can you show us the speed and power of each pedal assist?
When I get one for testing I will definitely show that!
Would this bike do okay on crushed gravel rail trails?
I think it would do fine.
i think people are waiting for mid drive version cus they removed Xpremium version
It's 55lbs with battery according to website brother.
Crazy they put out a new bike and are possibly injuring/killing people with that xpeak
What are you so paranoid about, i dont understand.
I wonder what Lectric has against full suspension? I understand no suspension, or half suspension brings down the weight which is cool for some e-bikes, but I believe none of their line up have full suspension. That’s a head scratcher.
Pretty simple add a suspension seat post to most of their lineup but I agree it would have been nice to have the front suspension on this model.
It’s definitely a trade off for weight and most people do prefer lighter bikes so maybe this is the reason?
The bike looks great but they need to give it all those missing pieces!
The problem with e-bikes is that they will break and they will need repaired. Many bike shops won't touch e-bikes. Which bike shop in NYC will service and fix the Lectric One? Thank you.
Most bike shops have e-bikes now. Very rare to see shops without e-bikes
Lectric sort of help get it all started in mass ebike marketing. Credit to them for that. Having said that, it's odd that they don't seem to listen to customers any more about what riders want and don't want. Whenever I speak to other ebike riders I consistently heard three things. Lower price, more range, more speed. We don't want another app to fidget with. We want less tech, not more. The fact that this smaller, lighter weight bike is more expensive is ridiculous. Lectric is innovative. But, this one misses the mark for actual potential customers. $2000! Crazy pricing.
Compare it to another bike with the Pinion C1.6i gearbox and you will be surprised.
I am in agreement with all the comments regarding battery and suspension. I am only posting since I watched others who got the AZ trip courtesy of Lectric and your video is the best. Somewhat ironic my 1st ever while ride was at the Grand Canyon where we rented them. Five minutes in it I said to the wife ohhh we are so getting a pair of Ebikes when we get home. And I did. They changed our lives for the better.
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed the video and glad you’re enjoying your bikes! Cheers!
Why did they switch the throttle to the left side
Not 100% sure but probably because the shifter is on the right side. I mean I guess they could have used a twist throttle on the right side. I really didn’t mind it being on the left side
Do you have to have your cell phone with you to ride the bike?
No you do not. You only need it if you want to change some of the customized settings.
Who shifts gears on an Ebike, 7th gear mostly..I like the belt instead of the chain. But who knows, maybe the younger generation will like the electronics..
If you are always leaving it in 7th gear, its alot harder on your motor and battery life you arent doing at least some shifting.
@@srobeck77 Gears have no effect on hub motors or batteries..
@@realeyesrealizereallies6828 100% incorrect. There are a ton of youtube videos on the subject. I just watched another one yesterday on why its bad to leave ebikes in high gear
@@srobeck77 I build Ebikes, I don't know everything..I have a mid drive bike that is 9 years old, over 40,000 miles, I shift gears on that bike because the power goes through the drive train..A hub motor just turns the wheel, the power doesn't go through the drive train..If you break your chain, you can still hit the throttle and drive home, it makes no difference..I have hub motor bikes too, for several years and never had to replace a free wheel or derailleur..So, don't believe everything on the internet..
No front suspension! I'll pass. Great review! Thanks. Too many nuances!
Zero suspension front & rear is a no brainer Not To Buy. Unless you are traveling 99% on smooth surfaces.
@@aceball7076 100% on smooth surfaces for me. Im told too old trial riding like u young fellas. I use a seat post shock absorber and thats all youll ever need or want for paved paths.
if only it came in full suspension
Too bad it has no range.
PAS 5 under 10 miles. Would get me to the store, but would never get me home. 😢
I would recommend the 14ah version but depending how you ride I’m sure I would get a lot more than 10 miles.
You can buy the upgraded range battery
Too bad you can’t see what physical gear your in
Over $2000 and no front suspension fork........ why...... and its the same design as the folding version which is convenient yet this one doesn't fold. All they had to do was make this the xp 4.0, keep the fold and suspension fork and id be all over it. This is just non sense
$2,000 for a 10.4 AH battery is an immediate pass. I like the look and the weight of the bike but that spec alone is a massive con
Agree, mind-boggling why they went with such a small battery!
I'm getting at least 30-40 miles with a 36 volt 13 AH battery. At 155# I could probably get more than 40 when peddling in PAS 2. ♻️
PAS 5 under 10 miles😂. Not good enough. Nowhere near good enough. Could have all the bells and whistles in the world. What's the point if it only goes 10 miles.😢.
Yeah that is what I was thinking as well. I don’t really get it.
So upgrade to the 14AH battery. I guess your back in the game now brutha
Way too many bells and whistles ,people have enough controller complaints already. Hard pass.
big mistake to sell an Ebike for $2,000 bucks with no front or rear suspension. a friend of mine with the original electric bike (no suspension) spends most of his time replacing broken spokes after waiting 8-12 weeks for delivery. My crystal ball shows a lot of unhappy people replacing/repairing all this expensive technology. the minimum walkout at a car dealer repair shop for fancy high tech cars is $1,500+ - scrap the high tech nonsense and stick with the bicycle basics for a better and longer maintenance free ride experience
You need to get a mount instead of holding that stick. Its dangerous and looks like you have zero control over that bike. Plus it looks like 6ou are a tourist. 👎🏻
Nope, it's just under powered and you will be charging this a lot because of higher power output...
Save your money or just keep riding the older, more less costly E-bikes for basically people living on a budget.
I'm not criticizing your review but the company has lost their way in their mission statement from a few years ago. They were going to put out E-bikes that everyone could afford and use to help save money and use their cars less often.
Lectric will be losing a big buyer demographic because of this move and not larger battery packs would be a good start.
I would have to agree . What good is a really nice gearbox going to do for you if you cannot even make it back home . Group rides around where i live are lengthy 10 miles minimum and i would never make it back before the battery died . So that means I would have to pay $200 more for the larger batter . No way I’m paying $2200 and tax for 48v 14ah with no suspension .
Unfortunately the technology in this model is expensive and any other bike with the Pinion gearbox and gates carbon belt on it would cost a minimum of $3500 so there pricing is very good compared to the competition. It’s definitely not going to fit everyone’s budget for sure but that’s why they still have the more affordable models with less technology. I think it’s great that they are offering what no other companies are.
Bicycles are meant for exercise. Why waste money on a bike that does the work for You?? Lazy?? Yes!!
🤡🤡🤡
@@greplink Bahaha! 😘
I aint about to pedal 20 miles to enjoy some scenery. Kkthnks!
@@srobeck77 Now is that 20 miles going to work and back?? That is a different story. Make sure you do not store your bike indoors they have a big chance of exploding and catching on fire. That is the nice "boomer" of making sure you will be fine.
@@user-lb1hf5nk5d no they arent exploding anymore than your cell phone is exploding and catching on fire.
