  • Want Serve Power? In this video, I'm going to show you a drill that's going to help you with that. You're going to learn how to position your arm and body to create smooth power from your racquet drop. At the end of this training you're going to have a smooth service motion that will create more power on your serve.

  • @SEBAYANI08
    @SEBAYANI08 Před rokem

    Sublime explanation. Im an awesome server, but i was just searching for a vid on how to improve some more and this is right on point. And from experience, i will add that nothing becomes more important than that elbow motion going up, and consecuently you sorta tilt to the side to give way to the power of your shoulder muscles and back muscles to power through the ball correctly. Now mind you the entire motion has to be seamless and it all works together, but many do everything else but keep the shoulders squared instead of making the rise in the elbow to tilt the shoulders for that proper power. Great vid coach.

    I think I get it. Pull your hip around as racquet begins to drop. But not sure why it's called " *catching* the drop".
    Is it because, by pulling your hip around, you are preventing the racket from hitting your back? 🤔

    • @mickjagger8621
      @mickjagger8621 Před rokem

      I think catch is probably the “best” word we have for it. It’s really about ensuring your swing has good timing and smootheness, and doesnt stop and start awkwardly with the racket down. The racket speed should go slow,medium,fast. Not slow,medium,slow,fast

    great video otherwise!!!

    • @bournejason66
      @bournejason66 Před rokem

      It depends on where your 0 degree is at

    • @tyoma643
      @tyoma643 Před rokem +1

      He is showing at 2:15 what angle he is talking about exactly and where the 0 degrees would be then. 0 degrees for this angle is when the forearm is parallel to the bicep (elbow joint completely closed off)
      He keeps saying at least 90 degrees but I think he means less than 90 degrees
      great video otherwise!!!!

    • @bournejason66
      @bournejason66 Před rokem +2

      @@tyoma643 no. He said too many people have their arm too extended. It needs to be at least 90 degree angle and can even be more as if you are doing bicep pump.
