Florida is not the place for non swimmers.
We are surrounded by water.
I was born here. We used to play in the rip tide as we grew up with it.
But you should always wear a pair of fins if the water is getting rough. But I am also a surfer of 60 years.

How come every beach does not have all that, "Baywatch" gear by now? Where are all the lifeguards on jet skis?

That stretch of beach was marked as having HIGHLY dangerous conditions that day. Translation: Don't go in.
Lifeguards at a nearby area saw, pulled them out, and gave CPR.

​@@plowe6751 that depends if your boogie boarding or just happen to have flippers its a lot easier to swim out of a rip tide, ocean life guards dont usually wear life preservers when they rescue someone they wear flippers it all depends
