This kills me....he has a wet'bath in a minivan...and people convert a 40' schoolie and have an outside shower and no bthrm sink because "it's such a small space there's no room"....🙄😁😄
@1234 I think you nailed it. They all seem to think a wet bath HAS to be made in stone and porcelain and crystal. And end up with huge size minivans that look like millionaire's mansions.... yet don't even have a porta potty or a shower of any kind.

Leila L - I know right!!! And he made it work in his mini van. Thats what I like to see. Not everyone can afford to build their vehicles top dollar. They need to make it work with as little money as possible because thats probably all that they have. Love what this young man did!!

I’m convinced every van conversion can have a bathroom
His was a fortunate case, because the fold & store back seat gave him more vertical space. Regular vans will struggle with this, but those people in the tall vans could easily do it. If you can stand up in it, you can do it.
@@InfernosReaper Regular vans have more headroom to accomadate a shower.
If you got a bottle & a plastic bag you got a bathroom.
@A Magnificent Cunt females might need a she-wee or she-nis but anything other than those 3 things though & you're being very fancy & over spending. You can also eliminate the need for one of those if you ditch the bottle for a folgers coffee container, due to the wider circumference to pee into.

Wow! The wet bath just took this project to another level. And when you are creative enough to put together your own lithium battery for comfortable off grid living... C'mon, you shouldn't be confined to a job sitting behind a cubicle. Smart guy, smart project. Video was well done. Thanx for sharing.

It's fantastic for one person....self contained.
Next season, Adam makes a 6 bedroom,4 bath, 4 walk in closets and 2 acre back yard with Olympic size pool from a Geo Prism!

Love it,every van should have bathroom, what more important than being clean and 💩 poop middle of the night your own place, bathroom = more freedom
The 24 hr gym membership is nice for that, but when the weather is bad, you really need the freedom to not have to go outside.

Watching this in 2020. My friend converted his minivan based on his design for light traveling backthen. But when he was laid off during this pandemic, his van literally saved him from being homeless! He still hasn't found job yet, but he has saving and do not need to pay Nashville's rent! So thank you for this! PS: he will come to visit me in Detroit soon. Yay.

yeah no kidding... surfing the net for conversion ideas for my 2005 freestar, and this video--with a wet bath---Wow! creative AND impressive! this wet bath has me now completely changing my layout idea for my van...the possibilities.... youtube university From what I understand, if I "like" a video it is stuck in my liked videos forever, I don't want thousands of liked videos. Usually I save them to other categories of other subjects like music, etc. But I also hear that if you thumb it up or down, it still counts as attention to push it towards trending in their algorithm. So yes it's ok not to like something, but thumbing it down still gives it attention and floats it up. If I don't like something I just ignore it, unless it is really horrible like something advertised as cute or funny when it is really ignorant animal abuse or something.

LOOOVE the shower! I didn't think there was anyone else who could take a shower in their van but now I've seen it all. Mine is an extended hightop, so that makes it easier, but this guy's my hero.

subscribed! Oh, and by the way, a problem you might run into while showering in your van is that people will think you're having sex in there. I've showered in a lot of beach parking lots after surfing, and definitely heard comments outside the van because the windows were steamed up.
Me too.. only thing I'd like would be to be able to look at the moon and sky at night.
But I know I have to give something up. Its small but great space and gas

That is the best conversion I have seen. I have a honda Odyssey and I could put a wet bath in it like that. The whole bath/shower thing was keeping me from using my van for traveling. Ingenious.
I love the weed sprayer idea. I can relate to the cubicle monotony. For me it was the rent trap that was the last straw. When your wages go up 3% a year but your rent goes up 8-12% a year it's time for a drastic change. Thanks for posting.

I have been searching videos for a looonnnggg time and this one never came up when I searched for "minivan with a shower" and this guy has a whole BATHROOM in the back. Like, what?! Why do people do these elaborate builds with no crapper and no way to bathe? Some of us need to shower every day instead of a few times a week. So great to finally see this!
Imagining all the money I would save living like this, my 5 kids might be a little cramped. Wifey always says we should be a closer family...
You could go for an 8 passenger van... Would give ya room to grow your family. ;-)

Absolutely all around brilliant!... With so many Americans out of work and left homeless, I believe what this young man has accomplished is something that could eventually put an end to the political concerns of our tent cities. Instead of donating our vehicles to a Salvation Army as a tax right off.... We could be turning them into viable housing.... Keeping our fellow citizens safe as well as providing them with added opportunity of gainful employment. I mean, .. 'if it's good enough for us... Why the hell not'? Most people are homeless for the exact same reasons that many of us today seek out 'Van Life." Perhaps I'm a dreamer, but I see it as clearly doable. ....Simply Inspirational !..

There are fancier builds. There are more glamorous builds. But there are no builds anywhere near this functional, or that have this level of thought put into them. A useable wet bath in a minivan is the ultimate conversion mic drop. Unreal. Well-done.

forget that high dollar mattress , i crashed at a friends a few times back in the 90's..and he had a big piece of foam rubber with an egg crate top that he had cut into a bed length size, and it was about 8 inches thick..that was the best sleeping i ever had..

WOW, love the wet bathroom idea! I also saw a young man make a bed frame out of all light weight pvc pipe too, then to lay the matress on top he used plywood sheet with holes drilled in it for ventilation. These are great ideas - in 2 years I will have built my van and be out there! YAY! Yes, awesome you did not spend 25 years in a secretarial job/cubicle like I did, but thanks to G-d I am a healthy 60 year old, and when I retire (2 years)...watch out world here I come! ;) Thank you, traveling mercies, and G-d bless!

Ha ha. I'm a 77 year old female and I have been living out of two different vans for 40 years. The first was a dodge caravan, 1981, then a Honda Odyssey , 2001 till present and we are both, me and the van still going. I do have a house, but travel for months at a time in the van, and yes, with my bike, sometimes two bikes. You're never too old if you love the lifestyle.

I try to approach every problem/challenge with the mindset "Think about the problem differently". In this case:
The problem: 'how can I better utilize the space in the minivan'
Differently: 'what designs/layouts have other diy builders overlooked?'
Perpetual Sabbatical Can you still use the passenger seat at all for an actual passenger? Seems like that mattress won't really "bend" up if it's got springs.

I have an 06 chrysler town and country and it's literally the same exact van with a different brand on it. My exact thought was that that area would be perfect for a toilet, I'm glad to see someone actually did it!

Incredible, now that is the definition of stealth! Can probably park anywhere hassle free. If he paints the sides of the solar panel mounts black, they would blend in with the black roof rack. Maybe even attract more sun as the colour black
