Hahaha! Not only you are an amazing weightlifter but you also have good musical taste. Sir, I salute you. PS: Where can I buy one of those gorgeous "Warm Body - Cool Mind shirts? Thanks Aleksey!
@AARON ANDERSON Yea I get yea but the conversion for 25kg to lbs is around 55 only reason I mentioned that. But I do agree if it's in an odd part of the country it might be 45s like they said but I highly doubt it.
It is 455lbs. Each red plate is 45 lbs. And greens are 25 lbs. Barbell: 45lbs. Red plates: 45 lbsX8=360 lbs. Green plates: 25 lbsX2=50 lbs. 45+45×8+25×2=455 American metric system is different than res of world.
Crossfit take note: This is weightlifting, not "crossfit" the overpriced perversion of something thought up to make weightlifting trendy. To get strong as shown here requires no wasting of energy on irrelevant activities such as "kippers" or aerobic training. You must lift heavy. Trendy people need not be deluded thinking this is fitness. This is more like powerlifting than fitness. Your "programming" requires Soviet style thinking, not Americanized bullshit.
Not a crossfit guy myself, but Aleksey Torokhtiy is pretty big on Crossfit. Never seen him Bench of Deadlift, so not really sure how similar his training is to Powerlifting. Definitely big on 1RM-based strength training, which is the nature of Powerlifting and Weightlifting. But Torokhtiy is also a very well-conditioned "fitness" guy. You are right in that if you don't train for 1RM strength training, you'll likely be bad at it. Pretty obvious, really. Just cause you're a fan of him doesn't mean he has the same views as you. Just saying.
Fucking beast
add that to my list of things ill never do before i die.
I've lifted on that exact platform when I was in Kentucky once!
OMG, the flat earthers are right. Gravity is a hoax! Honestly, Oleksiy is my favourite lifting personality on CZcams. Modest, casual and strong as fk.
Most people will struggle to ever squat that let alone hold it overhead and squat it. And that's after push pressing it.
This is mental.
Meanwhile people at my gym need to wear a valeo belt with gloves for lat pulldowns.
Just saw a dude at mine wear a belt for preacher curls
Алексей красавца) Здоровье и удачи тебе)
275 and I thought I was beast.... Back to the board
Well, I will just have to keep at it. (Thank you for the inspiration - fantastic)
i am enjoying your Pull and squat cycle, professor Torokhtiy
Is this the real life?
Hahaha! Not only you are an amazing weightlifter but you also have good musical taste. Sir, I salute you.

Nope, those red plates are 20's.
🤯💯
HOLY SHIT !!!
Amazing! So do the reds only weigh 20kg, not the usual 25?
Mike Hawkes Might have been done at a seminar in the US. I've seen red 45 lb plates before.
Matthew Buntyn yeah I knew it would have been a US seminar, just don't think I could ever recall seeing red 25's before.
Normally the red US plates are 55lbs. I was going to ask the same question.
@AARON ANDERSON Yea I get yea but the conversion for 25kg to lbs is around 55 only reason I mentioned that. But I do agree if it's in an odd part of the country it might be 45s like they said but I highly doubt it.
Only 1.7k views, that is criminal

That's because it isn't. It's 205.
@@fluffstuffpootiebean1688 the red plates must be fake, most be 20kg
@@camerongray7767 My coaches gym. They are indeed just weird red 20kg plates.
How is this 205? If the red ones are 20 kg, its 200 kg. If they are 25 kg, its 240 kg..? Unbelievable no matter what, just curious how this is 205 kg.
It's an American thing. I've seen 45 lb red bumper plates in American gyms before.
That's 245 is it not? unbelievable.
Andy Reid Might have been done at a seminar in the US. I've seen red 45 lb plates before.

It is 455lbs. Each red plate is 45 lbs. And greens are 25 lbs.

@@08r6ix Not Stupid, just different. American gyms are more developed than the ones back home in the Motherland.
you sure this is 205? looks like 240 to me.
red - crossfit plates by 20 kg.
Freakish

@@jackx5861 ....yeah....weightlifting is for gods.
Counted 240 first time then realised they’re 20kg plates! Who the fuck coloured 20kg plates red because that’s an abomination lollll
that's how they come in america bud. the ones in regular gyms are 20kg red plates 11kg yellow, 4.5kg green, and 2kg mini plates.
no amount of drugs could make this unimpressive
That didn’t even look hard
For him*
