G19 picked up 2 years ago and the G34 in the past year. Both have been great. I'd live to review with HK45 and R1 but have to find someone to let me test them! Thanks for watching.

Outstanding "Tap and Rack", great to see someone who knows who to shoot extremely proficiently and also able to quickly and efficiently get back in the fight. Great vid!

  • @GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC

Glad to hear you like the gun. I hear you about the extra mags. I bought a bunch before all of this happened. Thanks for watching, please let me know what you think of our most recent vids.

  • @GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC

I have a Gen 4 G19 and put a couple thousand rounds through it.... running great. This G34 belongs to a friend and runs fine. The first run of Gen4s had some issues but they corrected that as far as I have seen. I think there great. Todd Green of Pistoltraining, put 50,000 through his Gen4 G17 with no problems. Thanks for watching, please check out other vids on the channel and consider subscribing. All the best...

  • @GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC

Jerry, thanks for the suggestion. That's a great point.. Not quite sure why I didn't show the targets. If check out my other videos I was try to show that hits so people can see the accuracy of the gun. Nevertheless I apologize for not doing it in this video. Thanks so much for watching I hope you'll subscribe to the channel. Best regards

Awesome video. I am a glock guy through and through, but I really hate where that slide lock is on the glocks. I have big hands and I'm always locking the slide back on accident. Subscribed!

  • @GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC

Both would be excellent for combat and self-defense. Both have been extremely reliable. For me the slight edge goes to the G34 because the ammo is much less than .40. This allows for more practice. Also for some people the 9mm round is more controllable in fast shooting. The Gen 3s are what i own but the Gen 4 is very nice and worth considering.

  • @GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC

I can ring steel (12 " plate) with both guns at 50 yards with a hit rate of 60%-70%. Both guns are capable of this sort of accuracy. Both would serve you well.

  • @GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC

I've fired 20,000 rounds through the MP pro and at least 11,000 through the G34. The MP fits my hand better and therefore it has a slight edge for ergonomics. However, the Glock design makes it far easier to modify and work on. The Glock design has been used and proven in combat for years, so an edge for reliability. As far as accuracy its a tie. Its more about practice than anything else. Both would be a good option so pick them both up and see how they "feel" and fit your hand. Thanks!

Glock 9mms are designed to be used with NATO spec ammo, which is close to +P. You can run it all day long.

  • @GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC

I shot the Glock 35 in ID PA for several years. To better manage a snappy round like the .40, you need to be aggressive with your stance forward on the balls of your feet knees bent hunch slightly forward arms straight out standing vertically works fine when shooting nines. Watch some videos of competitive shooters and you'll see that they are very aggressive and forward in their stance. Hope this helps.

  • @joeracer302
    @joeracer302 Před 11 lety

Practice dry fire drills. For single fire accuracy the biggest factors are sight alignment and trigger pull. For followup shots your stance and grip play a larger factor. Google "pistol drills" and check out the pistol-training website. Look at the Wall Drill, and Ball & Dummy drills to help with your problems. Good luck!

  • @GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC

Some Anguila 124 grain standard velocity and the Winchester NATO 124 +p.

Is that your property? If so, I envy you! I'd save a good amount of money as my local ranges aren't very cheap($17-30)

  • @GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC

This could because by couple of things. First if you're not balancing your grip pushing with your strong hand and pulling back with your weekend you may be getting a pull to the left. Or you're not pressing the trigger straight back and jerking it downwards Also, I suggest you watch videos of competitive shooters. You will see their body is angled forward arms press straight out . shooting in more an Isosceles stance then a weaver. You need to get aggressive with the gun. Good luck.

Very nice, I have been seriously looking into moving to NH for the past year. Like anywhere, it's getting harder and harder to find job openings. I am optimistic though and hope to find something in the spring.

  • @GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC

I think the G17 is amazing. It's in my bug out bag for a reason. Easier to maintain than the MP and provent in more than two decades of conflicts around the world. Larry Vickers and many other trainers use Glocks for a reason. The MPs fit my hand better.

  • @GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC

How long is long distance? Both are more than accurate enough for the maximum I'd shoot (out to fifty yards). I see pistols as a close in tool... less than 25 yards. Most gun fights with handguns happen within 21 feet. If I can shoot a gun at twenty five yards into an 8" area (center mass / chest area)... then that is all i need. 9mm is less expensive meaning more practice. I've got well over 15,000 rounds thru both the G34 and G35. Both are excellent handguns. Hope this helps.

Excellent vid sir. My only problem with M&P is extra mags are as rare as hen teeth. Besides that I enjoy shooting both guns. Wishee, I bought the M&P on your recommendation you haven't steered me wrong yet!

    wishe:
I think all the rest of us were good with your video, since we could easily see each target move on impact, and could easily hear the hits as well. I prefer seeing your recoil and recovery with each shot (as well as the target), so I hope you proceed as you always have in the past.
Let us know how you compare the G34 to the G17 & G19 in the same drills. Which do you find more conducive to combat shooting; target shooting; better for home defense?

  • @josh1303
    @josh1303 Před 11 lety

Hmm, ill look into it. We are trained to shoot straight at the target. I try the push pull, but this gun has some bite. I will keep up what you say. I prob need to get aggressive with it. Things you can get away with a 9mm you cant with higher calibers sadly :(

How many rounds have you put through this Gen 4? All factory loads? Totally reliable?
I ask because of all the reports of feed/eject failures with the 17/19 Gen 4. Don't know if it was only with the initial run. I've heard that Glock 17/19 bought after Nov 2012 are okay.
    Good review.

i've been shooting alot of the 9mm nato loads from georgia arms...it replicates my defense loads quite well and is pretty affordable @ $130 for a can of 500...how do you like the g34 compared to the M&P pro? i know the glock trigger is your preference.
i spent some quality time behind a g17 gen 3 a week ago and the glock has grown on me...i'm very accustomed to the M&P triggers now and the glock felt really weird to me

Any tips on keeping good form and grip. I tend to shoot low 7 o clock with my Glock 22. Just not use to how snappy that round is. It's kinda a downer when you don't shoot tops.

Recall when you picked up your G19 Gen4? Or when your buddy picked up his 34? Wondering when Glock addressed their problems with the first run of 9mm (17/19).

I many cases it’s best to shoot with both eyes open. More situational awareness, faster sight acquisition, and Superior ability to see cover and exits.

damn, that muzzle flip is way too much for a 9mm, you think is because of the longer barrel compared to the 17 and 19?

Juan Carlos I think it's because his left hand is slightly handicapped so he's not getting an optimal grip on the gun. He's pretty accurate though and he's working with what he's been dealt. He does great vids.

Thanks for the review and showing the showing the use of different weights and pressures of ammo.
I'd like to say, however, please don't call the 17 round mag. a "High capacity" mag.. It is, for the G17 and G34, a Standard capacity mag. The 33 round mag. would be a high capacity mag.
Obviously I live in a stupid state that has passed a law that limits capacity to 15 so, in my state, I can not get this gun even though I want to purchase one.
By falling for the liberal definition and using their talking points we're just furthering their agenda.
