This mv was 3 years before her breakdown...and it’s crazy how every scene in this mv literally foreshadowed her life. Thank God she’s still alive today. So strong.
Seriously. There was a time when that guy Sam Lufti was in her life that I was worried this would be true.
Honestly now looking back to some of her songs i think it really foreshadowed her life ahead sadly. But i hope sooner she'll have the freedom and a normal life she ever dreamed of.

Britney never had a breakdown. The paparazzi just harassed her and turned her reaction into “Britney has lost her mind”...She shaved her head while her friend got a tattoo..Britney didn’t want a tattoo, but while talking to the tattoo artist... she wanted to release something and he suggested she shave her head. She declinecat first, and then realized her hair held a lot of bad history and was damaged from all the extensions... so she did it. The paparazzi were always following her.. that day she asked them to get away from her car... they wouldn’t. So she got out and grabbed an umbrella from her backseat and threatened them with it. They shot a photo that night and used it with the headline “Britney has gone crazy!” Poor girl could never catch a break. 🙏🏼💛

This was before she even married Kevin and had kids. People have pointed out that it predicts her Vegas residency and being taken away in an ambulance with the paparazzi in pursuit.
I remember watching the episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch when Britney was a guest star. Sabrina was talking about how lonely she felt since moving to Paris to live with her dad and when Britney said she knew how that felt, Sabrina couldn't understand why. She made the comment about how Britney was always surrounded by people and Britney replied "Sometimes that's the loneliest place." That one sentence spoke volumes about what she was feeling & going through even then. It's heartbreaking how none of the people around her, ever really seemed to have her best interest, including her family. She was just money in their eyes.
The original suicide was Britney overdosing on pills, but her team thought it was too intense. Then, they forced her to add the final scene of her coming out the tub to imply that she didn’t really die, which ruined the video’s message.
I feel like her going unconscious and then drowning in the tub from the wound on her head from the camera is way more intense.

even the paprazzi followed britney in the ambulance and documanted her shaving her head. britney spears deserves a lot of support because her sister and father are just not giving to her. britney is a walking legend and she is why i decided to have my own music career of my own
I'm an EMT, this type of thing happens in the lives of "normal" people too...I had to tell people to back off more than once while trying to help someone in a car accident or someone who had any type of problem in a public place.
It actually makes me very angry.

This song always kills me, especially back then, as it's clearly so much about life after Justin. The line "without my wings" gets me so much, knowing her symbol was always a fairy (it was even part of her signature back then), and in Justin's video, you have him knocking one over or destroying it (can't remember). The song just HURTS.
Listening to this again after all these years has also made me see how similar Selena Gomez's life has become to her. It's weird enough that the guy's name is the same, but how she's had to deal with the mental pain from the end of a relationship to even once again using the wings as a metaphor in her recent single. At one point, she was even singing Britney's songs at concerts while going through similar feelings.

Yes, Billy the part of the doc that you talked about made me so mad. He said that when she said “leave me alone” she meant that day because she didn’t say “leave me alone forever”. Which is one of the most idiotic things I’ve ever heard cause she also didn’t say “leave me alone today” she just said to leave her alone. This is one of the saddest videos for sure though and the fact that it basically predicted her breakdown and the treatment she got during that time 3 years later is still so scary.

It’s not only tragic how prophetic this video was for her own life, but also how many celebs it’s mimicked before her and after. I feel like maybe she was reflecting on Princess Diana’s death and how the paparazzi literally took pictures after the crash as she lay dying in her seat.
You should watch the new Demi Lovato docuseries on CZcams. In one scene, her friend calls ER after they find Demi passed out from overdose and people are yelling at her to tell the ambulance to turn the sirens off as to not alert the paparazzi. Demi was dying & yet her team was worried about the bad press. It’s so disgusting and sad the pressure some of these young women are under.
So i found thus out recently that she wrote this song about her anf Justine Timberlakes break up. she knew it was her fault and she knows what she did, and she was heartbroken over it but she still felt bad hurting him the way she did. knowing that now you can hear it in the lyrics.

I'm a hardened metal listener, but this song is unbelievably good.
Most of us all have really crazy moments in our lives. Luckily, we can have our craziest moments with only those closest to us witness us at our weakest. My heart has always hurt for Britney that she had such a public breakdown. And who can blame her with everything she was going through.

I feel so bad for Britney. She went through so much between 2005-2008. Justin Timberlake, her divorce, post pardum depression, paparazzi on her 24/7 with planes going over her home for photos. Anyone would have lost it & w/ mental instability running in her family with her dads mom having mental health issues, she was even more susceptible to it.
I was in 3rd grade when Britney's first album came out. I owned her 1st 3 albums, & I saw Crossroads in theaters 4×. She was the 1st musician I idolized as a kid from 3rd grade - 6th grade.
That said my opinion on her now isn't a popular one... I'm warning anyone reading this rn...so if you're a STAN don't continue on...
Like I said her situation was out of her control & she wasn't in her right state of mind however, I get so frustrated when I see & hear people saying they faked her breakdown, she didn't need a conservatorship, her family was out to steal her fortune, Kevin is a POS, her kids are shit, but Britney is a perfect queen!
It would be so much more helpful to face & admit the truth of the matter, learn from it, & allow it to help change the narrative around mental health issues & celebrities.
The way I see it, Britney was having a complete mental break. It was reported by multiple people in her home on the day that she was 5150d in 2008 that she had locked herself & son in her bathroom, called Kevin's lawyer & offered him 50 million dollars to give up custody of the boys & never see them again. When he said no, she threatened to harm Jayden via bathtub & herself. Google it. When they entered the bathroom her tub was filled with water. When she came out she was naked, laughing hysterically, Jayden was freaking out & showing signs of major trauma & they had to take him to the ER. That's all fact. IMO it seems obvious James Spears is not intelligent enough to fake even a doctor's note. James Spears brother stated their mother was committed in front of them as little kids after she lost a baby. She was delusional, depressed, & she would tell stories of events way different than they were. She killed herself a few years later. So it makes too much sense why he'd try to prevent Britney HIS DAUGHTER from going down the same road cuz he couldn't save his mom.
Britney exaggerates beyond, she lies, & says things like she wasn't allowed to do things she was & says she couldn't drink coffee, drive, take aspirin, drink. It's like YEAH UR ON MEDS THAT YOU CAN'T MIX WITH THAT STUFF! She needs to stop being a victim & take responsibility & apologize to her kids. And grow the eff up.
Britney is still such an amazing, brilliant performer and human being. Always stand up for and support this woman.

Paparazzi are the devils. Did you know the night princess Diana died the paparazzi caused the wreck (or played a major part in it aside from her driver being drunk) they stood there 20 feet from her taking pictures instead of helping and calling for help. She didn't die instantly she was actually talking to the paramedics before she died.
It's really sad britney is literally trapped. She won't be free until her dad dies unfortunately. That's what I think will have to happen for her to be able to get control over her life back. She can't drive her own cars, she can't have a phone, she can't post to social media unless it gets approved, for fucks sake she can't even have another baby or get married. It's been 14 years since she had the meltdown and she seems to be doing ok now. She's not doing anything outrageous for people to question her mental health. And what's really sad is when she dies she's not going to be remembered by her music and the great things she's done. She's going to be remembered by her breakdown and her being controlled and the rest of the negative shit. I can't believe in this country she doesn't have civil rights or have a say about anything. Her dad is the worst human ever. The paparazzi were at her house the night she took her son's in the bathroom and refused to open the door to give them back to their dad. And she finally did and as she was being put in the ambulance I guess to take her to the hospital for evaluation. They got pics of her in the ambulance and she just had a blank look on her face. She looked like a lost child. So sad. I really hope she is doing way better now.

Two congressmen from Florida are trying to get the conservatorship case in front of a judiciary committee to investigate these professional Guardians sparked by the #FreeBritney movement! They want to get Britney in a court without the lawyers and no conservator present!! This is huge and we just keep getting more progress 🙌 .
