One of the reasons I bought the Summer Waves pool was the fact that it was the only one with an integrated skimmer.
I did upgrade my filter pump to a sand filtration unit and I will have to say that the factory skimmer housing on the Summer Waves works fantastic.
My $.02. I personally don't like the fact that this Intex skimmer (which is primarily for pools that don't have one) just sits inside of the pool.
These pools are small as is just to have yet another item taking pool space.

Great video man you are a lifesaver the only question I have is what do I do with the blue filter like that actually is supposed to clean the pool I put it somewhere or do I not need it anymore

Hi, I have the 14ft pool and I went with the 1500 gph intex pump , I don’t plan on removing my motor from the old pump , how is your holding up and do you think the 1500 gph intex pump is a great option ?! Thank you

does that blue adapter for the skimmer fit on the inlet flow of the summer wave pool. i am having a problem i bought a an intex automatic vacuum that goes on the inlet but the adapter that came with it is too big.

starky nunez That is a good question. Unfortunately, I do not know the answer because I do not have that vacuum.

Omg! I’m going crazy trying to vacuum this pool without paying $50 for the vacuum plate. I’m seriously thinking of hooking into this to vacuum.

Why did you use this one instead of what it can with?

Elly Bayne The one that came with it worked fine but I wanted to upgrade. The new one works almost twice as much as the one it came with which means I can run it less than the one it came with. The new one I installed also comes with a timer and automatically shuts on and off daily without me having to turn it on and off myself.

I used one I purchased from walmart, the type you use connected to the hose. Not so much a vacuum but it worked for me.

I have the 1500 gph pump and with the skimmer hooked up it's not getting enough water in it but without it it works fine. Any suggestions?
