Hi, my name is Salina and I live in a village in remote Alaska that shares my families last name. My great grandparents homesteaded here in the 1940s and now it's a thriving little town of nearly 200 people year around. My family owns and operates a summer resort right on the families homestead....your Alaskan vacation by Alaskans.

I was born and raised in remote Alaska and met my husband in 2020 when he came to work for my parents resort. We got married in the spring of 2023 and love sharing our life with you all.

You were so blessed by God to have him so long. My grandparents passed away when I was younger. Mom passed in 2016, and she only had a clam phone and would never upgrade. Her texts were all capital letters always. He will love on in your heart. We will see them all one day in the presence of God

Hi Salina, My heart goes out to you, and all of your family. 🕊 Grief is peculiar because when you're doing the smallest things, the memory of your grandfather is there. You'll hear or smell something, or you will see him in the eye or in the expression of one of his grandchildren. For sure, you will feel his spirit, amongst you all. I pray those moments will bring each of you peace and gratitude to have had such a grand patriarch and be able to follow his example -to live through Christ. ❤

I’m very sorry to hear about your great grandfather. You were so lucky to have him as long as you did. I never knew any of my great grandparents. My aunt also had a massive stroke earlier this week and passed away. It was a major shock. My heart goes out to you. ❤

Your dinner looks delicious, I can say that even if I don’t eat animal meat. I quit eating meat when I quit taking post cancer medication, which had WAAAYYY to many side effects.
