    this is literally what i did. I made one sale on a niche that had 200 results and now i have stamped the niche! I get sales even though they arent that consistent

    I love the idea of having only one niche per store. Can I have more than one Redbubble store?

      Yes, you can.

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  Před 3 lety +5

      Yes you just want to make sure you EITHER use a completely complete email/Paypal setup, or contact Redbubble first (to avoid any flagging by the robots). I personally would just do the different email / sign up / PayPal so you are effectively a different person in the eyes of the RB machines.

    Quick question: Does the background color matter in Redbubble? I struggle picking the one that will stand out.

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  Před 3 lety +2

      Hmmm typically you would be uploading a PNG file… and then you would pick a complimentary background color vs. Your main design color. I typically do a white background but then crank out 3-5 variants (invert it so it is white text / black background, pink, blue, etc). There is no downside to having options!

    • @naturerelaxingflclips370
      @naturerelaxingflclips370 Před 3 lety +1

      @@zenwatercooler Many Thanks, I feel like I dwell finding that complimentary background color once uploaded hence my question.
      Keep doing what you are doing love your content and have learned a bunch!

    I've had not so Great experiences with including my store names in my tags. Unfortunately people who use tag tools don't bother checking if those tags are relevant and my store name has wound up on those tag tools. So now there's a bunch of people whose stores show up when you search my store name

    I also wonder about original art? I do hand paintings/drawings etc and then scan them to high resolution files which I put on t-shirts, mugs and tumblers but it is is a very much niche market. I do sell quite a lot (via etsy) of it mainly through the niche facebook groups I am where I can share links to my etsy store. But how well would truly original art do on redbubble?

    • @bladechild2449
      @bladechild2449 Před 3 lety +1

      The vast majority of Redbubble's customer base is just people looking for jokey stuff for gifts. They're probably not interested in original artwork, no matter how good, especially if it doesn't have any particular message or theme.

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  Před 3 lety

      I would agree with that. Suggestion - try to find a way to showcase your art while at the same time niching down to something funny or targeting a specific customer base.

    For a couple days American Flag has been trending. There are 260k products. I created like 50. I focused on each state of the usa. Type "American flag inside of state" if you're an American. Check this out

    If I start hammering down on one niche, should I start a new store or just do a featured collection?

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  Před 3 lety +3

      I personally like doing a featured collection (and maybe 5-10 collections total) and then see what sells. Whatever sells… make more of those!

  • @TheNamesJT
    @TheNamesJT Před 3 lety

    So what do you select for Default product in your shop it looks like its on a per design basis? I just select Optimized for every thing I have not sure thats the best option?

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  Před 3 lety +3

      I personally don't like the optimized, but that is because most of my sales are t-shirts and stickers. So I personally like the sticker option for everything. I see other stores with the stickers selected as default and I like the way it looks. My opinion only!

    • @TheNamesJT
      @TheNamesJT Před 3 lety

      @@zenwatercooler You should make a video on all the products we should enable for said designs. Currently, i'm picking as many as I like and where the design fits but, do have a feeling it could be too many. Should we just make it simple and go with stickers and t-shirts. But, then I feel maybe someone would of bought the design if i enabled that product type that is disabled? Like, when you go into classic t-shirt edit and you see all those types of t-shirt which ones should I enable and disable.

    But I get most sales from trending niches so what I do make passive sales ???

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  Před 3 lety

      The general answer would be to split your time between trends and evergreen products (evergreen products sell well all year long, year after year). It's tough because niches make great sales but tend to die out over time. Diversification is the key!
