“Treat Yo self” is the most selfish motto. The whole skit is meant to show everyone that. This is a parody meant to show the viewer the ridiculousness of an action, like Ron’s shunning of all things governmental and modern technology. You will always, hopefully, feel better helping/treating someone else out than going down the self indulgent rabbit hole of self worship. You are welcome. Now go volunteer! (Hippies)

It's both, actually. Tom and Donna are overall happy and confident people because they regularly take the time to treat themselves and love themselves. While Ben never did that and thus desperately needed it.
If you never take the time to care for yourself you'll be overstressed and painfully miserable. Yet if all you ever care about is yourself then you'll never truly be happy nor be able to create any real bonds, making your life actually empty and shallow.
For balance and happiness you need both. Take care of others and take care of yourself, that's how you live a rich and fulfilling life.
And anyway, you cannot even correctly take care of others and help them if you cannot take care of yourself.

Apparently it was because the writers felt bad for the character always getting picked on so gave him this great home life so the audience wouldn’t feel as bad for him. Not 100% sure but it makes sense

Probably because they've been in compilation a few times. I don't recall these clips being part of recent compilations.

April's wine tasting is closer to the mark than many may realise. If you read enough wine reviews, you will eventually come to the conclusion that most wine critics are massive wankers with a keyboard and a dictionary and nothing else. My wine "Light on the road to Damascus" moment came when I read a review where the writer had said that the wine had "notes of leather and old cigar boxes!" That was 22 years ago - never read another review since.

Ralph and his sister are the most annoying characters on a show in TV history. This show would have been perfect without adding them. I think it's something when you fall too deeply esoterically as a comedy writer that certain things are funny in your world but to the rest of humanity it really isn't.
