Holy Sh!t. This version of Thank You was our wedding song as well in 2001. We created CD we gave all our wedding guests and gave each other songs that we picked along with why and the lyrics printed out. While I had, Elton John's "The First Kiss", and R.E.M's "Be Mine", my crown jewel was this version of "Thank You" by Tori Amos. When we exchanged songs a couple weeks before the wedding we both agreed this was the song for the first dance and has been our song for the last 18 years.
When I miss my son, I play this song. It feels to me like the way a mother loves her child. He's 21 and moved away and I miss him soooooo much. I love this version....because it's Tori of course!
