- Here's a test tone that we use when we clean ear speaker on iPhones when the sound is very quiet, just add a couple of drops of isopropyl alcohol and let the frequency do its work. The vibrations and liquid will dislodge and break down any grease and grime that has built up and leave the phone sounding much clearer!

came across this video because both my speakers were basically not working. read the comments and thought, yeah ok thats bs, but have nothing to loose but 6 minutes of my time and a few alcohol drops. let it play walked away and all the sudden a song is playing on my phone LOUD AND CLEAR! thank you sir!!!
Did you use regular alcohol?

Yep! I have had my iPhone for 3 years and d have never cleaned it. My one speaker was terrible. My son said hey mom try this! I did and wow my phones louder than everyone else’s again.

Thank you for this! I could barely hear anything even on speaker and didn’t have the money to take it in! Tried cleaning and the air spray stuff and nothing was working. Did the drops of alcohol and this sound it it’s back to normal.
Thanks so much! This worked on my iPhone 12 and my husbands old iPhone 8. I laid the phone flat, used a q-tip to rub alcohol on the speakers, and I let it sit for about two minutes. Occasionally applying a little more alcohol. Then used a toothbrush to get the debris. I couldn’t hear the sound at first, then after the alcohol I could immediately hear it working. Magic. Much appreciated!

This technique really works... Could bearly hear from my top speaker when making call but now it's perfect...
