  • In today's video I am replacing the oil pressure sensor on the 2007 Audi A6 4.2 that I picked up in the previous video for $1,800. The oil pressure sensor was leaking a lot of oil making it look like oil was leaking from everywhere.
    Luckily, it's only a $12 part. Unluckily, its about a 3-4 hour job just to get to it.
    If you having a similar oil leak or need to replace this sensor then this video should be helpful. Sorry about the shoddy camera work, this is the last video I shoot POV style because the camera moves so much and I can't control the frame as much.
    Leave a SUPER THANKS if this video was helpful to you!

    not going to lie my 2006 a6 definitely looks like this, I was just hoping to replace my serpintine belt and idler puller, but the right side of my engine is covered in oil and same with carbon as well as under the engine so im assuming this as well is where my oil leak is

    That lovely magnesium manifold you managed to remove in the time it takes me to knock-up a cup of coffee? f****** consumable part - thanks Audi! - quoted £2k (abt 3.4kCAN/2.5kUS) plus £700 fitting. S5 only cost £5k. Throwing P2004 and just generally being a swine :(

  • @lucasallen3430
    @lucasallen3430 Před rokem +1

    Found the easier way. There's a single torx facing the firewall that holds the air oil separator. Once you get that off you can prop up the manifold and remove all 5 torx bolts holding on the throttlebody elbow so you dont have to cut the factory clamped hose

    Hi Cole. How can I get in touch with you.
    I have a 2010 Q5 3.2
    I cant get rid of the cylinder 2 misfire.
    The compression is good. It actually runs great but misfires at idle
    Replaced the coil, plugs & injector. There's no carbon and it only happens at idle.
    I'm stumped and so is the German car specialist its at. I thought for sure it was a leaky injector.
    It runs perfectly otherwise and won't code for 50 miles when I'm driving but at idle it throws the code
    Please help. I'd bring it to you but I'm in CT. If you have aby ideas I can pay for your time.
    Thanks

      Hi @RT, have you by chance had a smoke test preformed to rule out any vacuum leaks? I've seen a tiny vacuum leak cause something like this.
      If no vacuum leak, I would attempt to reset adaptations and reset the throttle body. If problem still persists after all of that I would double check the timing chain values and see if maybe it's stretched and out of time causing a misfire.
