- In June 2016, at the Eurosatory International Defence Exhibition, CMI Defence presented, for the first time in Europe, two variants of the Cockerill® 3000 Series turret, in 30 mm and 105 mm configurations. Two years later CMI Defence is proud to announce that it has already produced and delivered more than 130 turrets, thirty of which are equipped with a Cockerill® 105 gun, manufactured by CMI Defence.

I would love to see John Cockerill do a version of the 3000 series with a 120mm smoothbore gun.
With all the same features as the 105mm version of the famous 3000 series turret.

Cockerill peut modernisé les chars Russes sur demande , il a mis au point des chars Turc, et des chars partout dans le monde, son ingénieries est capable de faire un tigre 2 moderne , rien a foutre des Ukrainiens, les ennemis sont les Américains et pas les Russes

gunner and commander below turret its save from any damage, a lot dimple that for additional armor. just wait until CMI have solution for cheap modular armor.

Interesting..... could it be fitted to the m1228 mgs? On it's face far better than the existing 105mm on the mgs.
What about some laser guns and radar for air detection against air attacks ??

105 honestly should be used on half the ifvs. A 105 can do anything 25mm can do better even AAA with modern fuzed ammo.

Optoelectronics are still so vulnerable to any sniper that can shoot 3" groups at 600 yards.
But the problem is that sights can see man size target out to 2km
Un revêtement riveté ? Alors soit j'ai mal compris, soit vous n'avez rien compris, les rivets pour le blindage, mis a part les rendre en projectile mortel pour l'équipage lors d'un impacte je vois pas a quoi ça sert.... (ok c'est peut être plus facile a produire, mais entre la facilité et la fiabilité...)
le revêtement n'est absolument pas riveté ;-)

Des vis à tête fraisée avec des rondelles fixée sur de gros plots non visible de l'extérieur 😉
mais du coup, ce que je dis est comme même valable non ? si un obus rentre en collision avec ces vis ou avec le blindage, les vis vont se détachés avec la force de l'impacte et suivre le mouvement de l'obus pour en faire des projectiles mortels ?
Non pas valable car il y a d'autre couche avant d'arriver à l'intérieur, à l'intérieur il y a justement une couche appelée " liner" qui empêche cela 😉. De toute façon dans n'importe quel tourelle avec un équipage à l'intérieur, il y a d'autres choses qui pourraient voler à l'intérieur tel un projectile. De simples effets personnel de l'équipage peuvent devenir un Projectile.
En tout cas, il n'y a que dans les films qu'une tourelle peut se ramasser un gros obus dans la gueule et s'en sortir comme si de rien n'était 😉.
