  • 👋 In todays head to head comparison, we take a look at the 2024 Ford Maverick along side the 2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz! These are both SUV pickups that are the smallest trucks in the industry and yet still offer some great capabilities!
    The 2024 Ford Maverick was introduced a few years ago and it looks very similar to the larger F series trucks in some aspects and has a boxy design overall! The interior is very basic along with the technology available. There are also two engine options available, along with several trim levels and drivetrains depending on what suits you best. The starting MSRP is around $28K, so this XLT was close to that entry level price point. You can get more options of course.
    Driving the Ford Maverick is very nice. It definitely rides more like an SUV, it's very quiet and for it's smaller size, it has a lot of interior space! This would make for a great daily driver if you want a pickup that gets great mpg, but is also practical!
    The Hyundai Santa Cruz is very similar! This is the first ever pickup truck from Hyundai so it's nice they have entered the market! The Hyundai has a more traditional design both exterior and interior and also has a similar price! There is only one engine option however, so I do wish a turbo engine was available to compete with the Ford.
    Driving the Hyundai Santa Cruz was nice! It's a comfortable ride, smooth and would make for a great daily!
    Both the Ford Maverick and the Hyundai Santa Cruz I'll call a "city truck", that's great because you get the functions of a pickup without the added size! These are pickup trucks that you can use for lawn equipment, recreational toys, etc. and even still tow smaller trailers!

    You should learn more about the vehicles you review. Hyundai does have a turbo engine in the Santa Cruz in the upper trim levels. The lights on the front of the Hyundai in the grill are DRL'S and the head lights are the lower mounted lights not fog lights. Also the model you were driving was the Santa Cruz SEL with the Activity package.

      You didn’t hear me call it an SEL in the video? Cause that’s what I said. And I pointed out all those options..And yeah I know the headlights are in a different spot, Hyundai is the only company that does that.. for the same price, they should offer the turbo, so price wise you have to spend even more on the Hyundai.

    Scotty Kilmer has repeatedly said Hyundai's engines are not reliable. If he knows what he's talking about I'd have to chose the Maverick. But, how reliable is Fords 2.0L Ecoboost? How hard is changing the oil and filter? Which company stands behind their warranty the best? Which has the most available aftermarket accessories available?

      Glad that’s why you enjoy. I’d go Maverick! I can buy one at MSRP or less at local dealers, haven’t seen markups on them.

    Two sedans masquerading as trucks.

      The maverick hauled our dirtbikes, works great as a smaller truck, but comfortable to drive too.

      Most don't tow a huge trailer on a regular basis

      @@jareddavis105 ahh, they would be. Way too small for in my opinion, but decent for the small size.

    Hyundai is the better deal

    The Maverick looks cheap and ugly and it has way less power ane towing capabilities

    • @BrosFOURRSpeed
      @BrosFOURRSpeed  Před 2 měsíci

      I’d go with the Maverick, bed length is longer to hold dirtbikes which would be very tough in the Hyundai. Power is similar along with towing too..
