For most people, showing up late is a habit. It tends to be a pattern that repeats. But the problem is not time management. It’s the choices we make.
It’s crucial to fix this problem because when you’re always late, this tells people that they can’t trust you. You gave them your word that you were going to show up at a specific time, but you were late. It also tells them that you don’t respect them enough to be there on time. It reflects the choices you make that put you in that position.
How do you never be late again?
1. Commit to perfection that you will never be late again. Believe that it’s possible. For example, professional athletes never show up late for practice or for a game. Don’t make being on time an option.
2. Plan to arrive 5-15 minutes early.
3. Assess the surrounding time commitments you have. Are there other appointments before it? Be sure to have enough time between commitments.
4. Account for other factors. E.g. traffic, your spouse or kids. Allow for other responsibilities and things beyond your control. Plan ahead
5. Only calendar appointment times that are mandatory for you. Decide what you put in your calendar and treat them as commitments.
6. Give yourself 2 months of perfection. Keep showing up on time so you rewire the habit. It takes on average 66 days to create a new habit.

I’m always late /: I will break this habit!
My husband is never, ever late and his dependability is a huge part of the reason why I married him.
Yep. A man of his word.
I love a good man who keeps his word and you can set your clock by him. It shows he is responsible and he is husband material!
A REAL man.
Your choice of words helped me to see how being late is connected to being dishonest - to not upholding your word. Ouch, that hurt where it needed to!
Being chronically late is also a known symptom of ADHD, known as “time blindness”. Just something to keep in mind.
This is so on point. And you’re right. It’s habits, choices followed by excuses 😢 story of my life. Thank you for the tips. I’m never going to be late ever again 🕯️🕯️🕯️
Hey Puli its been 2 weeks how has the progress been?
@@iamkylechaney a working progress but I need to try harder💀
Update?
I’m going to start myself =)
What I am gathering from this is just to stop procrastinating and do what you need to get somewhere on time!
i am gonna be on time for the next two months. i have control of myself. i am leading my time. i am liberating myself.
It’s not the time it’s the choices, wow this is blowing my mind
Being punctual seems like such a minuscule thing but for some people they just really suck at being on time and it unfortunately does leave a bad impression about the person especially if they’re habitually late. This goes for most setting in general
I wasn’t late at class. they were just too early
Oh my goodness. Thank you so much for this video. I've seen many with the same information. You have enlightened me with new information and how to actually break out of this habit. I'm committed from today for the next two months to never ever be late. It's something I absolutely despise in myself. It's time to change and you've made me believe in myself. Thank you.
Its a pet peeve of mine to be late. So I make it a point to always be early.
Thank you! I was watching out for a solution to not get late ever again. Almost the only video about this topic. It helped me so much 🙏🏻
I like your videos. Straight to the point. No frills.
Thanks, Kevin great share. Looking forward to the next Agent Mastery Live

I’m honestly struggling with this and the harder I try, the more I’m late. Thanks for mentioning it’s a habit thing. I will use the next two months and I’ll get back. God bless you Sir
How'd the last two months go?
Great video!
I see you changed the lighting. It’s very nice! I always say your quote first thing in the morning. More yes’s more success’s
Thank you Julie
Best video I’ve seen on overcoming lateness
All it did was tell us the logic part. I already knew all of this from just thinking.
Thank you
Thank you Kevin, your explanation makes sense and your solutions are do-able and accountable (#6 is imperative). 💯👍
Love!!!
I'm not late. I was EARLY! 😁 1st comment! 😉💪🏽💙
haha your right! Thank you
Start at 3:30
1. Commit to never be late again
--- No exception
--- No excuses
I don’t know if this will work in South Asia…
Even if I do try and make a commitment to be early or on time nothing I do ever happens right I’m about to lose my job and I think i honestly am getting to a point of giving up I dunno I’m out of options at this point and I’m about to see everything that I’ve ever worked for and fought for in my life just get taken away from me nothing is helping I’m about to give up
Eliminate something from your AM routine…try new alarm clocks keep trying. I hope you don’t lose your job!
You don't have discipline, and you're making a bunch of excuses it's pathetic. Luke he said if you can't commit to it, then maybe you need to give up.
@@blacklyfe5543 haha I’ll try Kms again sometime don’t worry I will
@@MN-br5nb haven’t yet but have been doing better getting it under 20 min
Time how long it actually takes you to get ready in the morning for work. Include everything. Work backwards from the time you should leave and add the time on. This will tell you what time it will take you to actually get up and start getting ready. Also do prep before bed (clothes etc)
Am I the only person who gets anxiety about being early? I hate being early. Being late is way more grounding and comfortable.
You're crazy you won't achieve anything in life by arriving late.
I always want to BE LATE 😅😅😅
Basically, just pay attention to being on time and you'll be on time. Earth shattering hack there, buddy.
If I was a pro football player I wouldn't have a salary, because it would all go to fines.
If you are late, its disrespectful. It means that not only do you not plan correctly, but you don't value the time of the other person.
Nobody values the time of others. Some people just have bad habits.
@@jude3180 shit im just a horrible person im always late
Not necessarily at all! Some ppl legitimately have hard time physically moving their body in the mornings.
Idc about the person's time so why should I care? Do they pay my bills? Ofc not so idc!
Your employer doesn't value your time when they use exploitation to get what they want out of their employees and emotionally manipulate them to work for someone to make them rich so why should I value their time when they don't value mine? 🤔
Kevin, how do you ever expect the world to take you seriously if you're always wearing a suit without a colorful novelty propeller hat? I'm telling you this because I care.
If I'm 20 minutes late and have a 40 min drive to my real estate school I just go 80-100pmh and get there exactly on time🤣 but even if I leave 30 minutes from my house to school I get there with almost a full hour of being early. And there have been occasional when I think I'm late and get there at exactly at 8 30am and I'm the first one in the entire class to get there meanwhile I'm pushing my 350z to its limits just to get there on time
