This was our first time trying the Waterfront Seafood Shack in Calabash, NC. Calabash is known for its great seafood, and this is just one of the many options to be found in this small fishing town.

We are moving there In September and we are very excited about it.
It's okay to check out other people's food! You may see something on their plate that you want to order next time.

Thanks for the videos, We are going to Calabash and N.Myrtle on Saturday just for the day. I'm thinking of Lunch at Waterfront and Dinner at Nance's or Boundry house. Do you have a preference?
I know this response is way late, but I am just now seeing it. I would prefer Captain Nance's. I hope this helps for maybe a future trip.
Just wondering. Have you ever eat in Murrell's Inlet? If so, how does it compare with Calabash? I've never been to either.
No, I'm sorry, but I haven't. I've only passed through Murrells Inlet a couple of times, but never stopped there. My mom and stepdad have a place just outside of North Myrtle Beach, so that's where we always stay when we are in that area.
There are a lot of great spots there. Go check it out next!
I thought you were going to say the boat smelled but what you told was even worse. I would have lost my meal when they started cleaning the fish. Even when I fix shrimp I have to clean it early in the day and fry it that night. My stomach is not that strong.
Yeah, I guess I can't fault them, since we were eating right there on the waterway where the fish boats come in. I just hadn't given that aspect of it any thought before we went. Guess I should have, and I guess it's part of the experience. I've just never watched fish get cleaned and blood get washed off of tables while I was eating before.
A famly friend owns that business they are good people the next time you're in calabash why don't you give Bennetts grill a try good seafood the family has been doing calabash seafood since 1965 good burgers too.

If that is what you are asking, we like the lunch specials at pretty much all of them.
Beck's is really good, and Captain Nance is good, and you can sit right on the water there.
For supper, we really like Dockside Seafood. But they don't open until 4:00 p.m.

I do not know if they have catfish. I don't remember seeing that on the menu.
I love my metal and hair bands, soul, rock, everything 80's, all of it, but that loud music would really annoy me sitting at such a lovely spot. It's way too loud. Is my age showing 😁
If your age is showing, then so is mine. I personally do not care to hear that while I'm eating at all.
Especially, like you said, in that beautiful outdoor setting.
But another challenge we face as people who upload to CZcams, is that CZcams penalizes us if they hear that music in the background. They think that we purposely added copyrighted music to our videos, and they will give us a warning and not allow the video to be monetized. That's why we have to take extra steps to make sure they don't hear it, or that it is drowned out.

Right away I'd be asking them to turn off the music so I can hear nature. That music is super ANNOYING.
Yes, it certainly is. What is even more annoying than having to listen to it, is when CZcams hits us with a copyright strike, merely for recording while its playing in a public place. We would never add "music" like this to our videos.
