Hell yeah man. I love a modified coupe! I have an FRC (in pic) and a black coupe and I actually like the look of my coupe MUCH more. That LSX is FILTHY.
454's use the same block as the standard vette's do, z06s come with them from the factory (427 instead of 454 basically the same thing). same motor mounts and everything.
This C5 has been tweaked a little. New video coming soon. HP ain't 541WHP anymore. Sound is a LOT meaner too. Stay tuned!

I love my 454r starting in 2 days when my brother r gets here we are egoing to be putting my lsx in his 13 grandsport(it will be what the zo6 should've been ) the motor as it sits right now is just shy of 1000rwhp (997 rwhp) if he has the money after the swpa he's thinking about making it and but that's gonna be alot( FYI the motor is mine and I could easily pay to have it and swapped but it's not my car so I'm not doing that ill help him out some since It will be a dual ownership at that point but I personally would keep it rwd although a awd Vette would be badass
What is it that makes this sound like a race car? Most lsx 454 vids I see sound like a pos muscle car. Is it simply the exhaust? This sounds more like a cammed ls7 than a regular ol ls motor...
im not a vette guy so did the 454 fit in the exact location as the 350? or was there aftermarket k members ect.
It's not a big block 454.
It's a ls based engine.

LS small block goes to 9L in some aftermarket, 11-13L with an aftermarket block special order.
I guessed 454, meaning aa 427 with a striker kit.. It's been years but I believe 4.2in was the crank needed.

The LS1 is actually a 346.
It's an LSx Block, same as the stock block. Bored .030 over, 4.250 crank.
Thats It ??? 541 HP ???? Wow !!! For what the LSX costs that's pathetic. My buddy had a 402ci LS2 with Dart heads that put down more power than that. 😩😣

Dead wrong. LSX block is 1.85 borex 4.125 stroke. Brian Tooley's 454 is the 4.25 stroke 454.
