David Gnozzi brought up a great point in a video about vocals; he said we tend to hpf vocals too much because we feel those low vocal frequencies more than we hear them and he is right. I tried backing off with hpf and the result was great especially when you push the volume. Thick vocals are ok as long as they are clear.
What I just discovered is that you can also use track presets in a macro - so you can e.g. setup your VST Instrument ( multichannel + plugins, colors etc.. ) save that as a track preset and then create a macro with the track preset - you just have to make sure thats the exact name of the track preset when you choose the track preset command and then you can add whatever command you like, like show instrument. Put that new macro in your macro drop down list and voila you have that VST super fast available in any project you start with all of your settings.
Been using them since they were first brought in - and I have them stacked in a Macro Menu so I can just call up my main used plugins. fx, and instruments.
Please do a mini course when you are free, I am stuck on vocal production, your channel has taught me all I know about studio one, I want to learn how to produce my own vocals. By the way, I have not seen melodyne/any vocal tuner does it mean you dont use any vocal tuning?

Hiya and thanks for this. I'm setting up the tracks now and this is a side thing...I have UA plugins I bought from their previous sales and for some reason in Studio One, the UI is blurred. Even though iLok is set up and connected to my UA profile and the plugins are there, etc. Not looking for a fix, but wondering if you've ran into this or know anyone who has.
I have 10 packed guitar tracks in the arrange window which in the mixer is in a bus where I put all my effects ! But when I try to make a track preset with this I only get 10 plain tracks in the mixer that isn't in a bus ??? How can I make a track preset that automatically put the tracks within a bus ? If that's at all possible?
Mike,Is it possible to run 2 DAWS independently on the same computer.I have always used Cakewalk from Pro Audio days but would like to use Studio one Pro.Would there be any issues.I dont want to sync them or run them together etc,just independently?

Quite possibly my most favourite workflow feature in Studio One. It really saves so much time and tedious work. I love it.

Yes you can run as many as you want independently
