Orange, on the forum it says "Up next for February we will be opening a beta branch for the next QOL update. Unfortunately - we weren't able to get a teaser image for you this time. Perhaps I can think of some other clever hint. I'll have to remind myself to get something for you soon." so I don't think it'll be a character refresh

like how the 2 people that replied before me already said, there was an "hidden" code in the steam update page that spelled "craft UI" and in the website code page there is a part saying "new art for crafting menu".
so yeah the next QOL update will most definitely be about redesigning the crafting layout

Ok so, tigers can smell other cats so that explains it, anyway, thanks for telling me the best way to find them in hide and seek, basically burning every tree is the best way, also thanks for telling me about this event I was genuinely lost since I am new to the Catcoon stuff, thank you orange for making this video like, VERY fast, the update came only like some hours ago, you are a life savior for those who are currently sleeping or don't have time, thank you orange man.
There is a new Kitcoon mini-game/event thingy at the Trade Inn! In case anyone missed that!
There's also a secret 9th kitty cat.
And about Tiger Cat, just run away if it's stuck. It follows you if you're far enough. Then just go around the obstacle and wait for it. It will hiss at you and continue it's way to the kitty cat.

Not really a good method since if you are unlucky it will go for all the other cats first? also moon island is quite easy to find if you know how to look for it.

You can also feed a normal Catcoon a piece of grass or a twig to get it to spit up a package with a gold nugget thing. You feed the catcoon the stick or grass and then run a little bit away and go back to the catcoon. It will spit up the package and something else.

There is a new minigame im pretty sure in the Trade In, theres a collar on top of the sign, click it and you get to take care of a kitcoon you can name and feed like a Tamagotchi.
Oh cool so we can retrieve stuff now...
You can also have your own pet In the menus by going to the trading center, there you would see a catcoon caller.

if you just place the nursery near a harvested grass or sapling farm you will get about 12 lucky gold nuggets a day

I doubt they would drastically change him in any way. I did have a funny idea of imagine if he had a groomer kit that you could style his beard with. A styled beard would give less warmth but give sanity like a garland.

Yes this is in the game. There is a dst update every January which focuses on the chineese new year. Hence this year's year of the tiger = year of the catcoon
It's not a permanent change but you can reenable it in the world settings
