- Hey Guys! Today's video is showing how I prepare my fruits that will go into my Jamaican Black Cake. There are many combinations of fruits that you can use (raisins, prunes, mixed peel, dates, etc.) and the fruits are soaked in rum and wine.
Jamaican Black Cake Recipe:

Ingredients
1 ½ cups raisins
1 cup currants
½ cup maraschino cherries
3oz rum (Wray & Nephew)
5oz red wine (Red Label Wine)
5oz fortified wine (Manischeweitz)
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
This recipe will yield 3 cups of fruit mixture and can be stored for up to one year.
