1. skid plate
2. radiator gaurds
3. hand gaurds
4.shark fin
5. rear tubliss
not a bad list right there!
And forward bending levers
Imports and Atvs just leave your levers a little bit loose on the bar and bang them into place if you crash
@@importsandatvs3072 Full wrap handgaurds will protect perches and levers
@@tonycstech Did you not watch the video???? Cost of each item is under $100 ahahhaha
Gas, water and food so I can spend some hours riding
Well the food one is easy, just go to your parents house and check the pantry for some food haha.
@@rmatvmc lame!
Rocky Mountain ATV MC this is the reality
😑🤫
1. hr meter
2. Handle bars
3. Grips
4. Air filters
5. Levers
Then start with clutch plates, brakes, pegs, extra things that wear out.
What do you think of this list? What accessory would you pick up if you had $100 to spend?
the choices overwhelm me i need the bottom end for my 2010 kx 85
Grip seat cover
You can sort of go two ways with it? Do you wanna spend a hundred dollars on something bling that adds no performance or are you gonna spend it on something purposeful and worth while? Guess it depends on how you spend your hard earned!
Cigarette lighter
Weed
I could move my levers to the centre of the handlebars and I know I’d still break one off lol
You ever consider wrap around handguards? I drop my bike all the time and haven't had a problem since I got them 👍
Mike King lmao. I always did move mine in. Just like the guy said it’s more leverage to pull them in.
haha!
I have vintage European bikes with Magura levers , I’d always known them to be impossible to bend , but my son has broken four of them now . I’m gonna stockpile them now. But at least I put Teflon tape under bracket so it spins instead of breaking lever.
I built a locker in my garage for my gear and I used the first lever I ever broke as a latch🤣🤣
I would spend my $100 on Monster Energy and Metal Mulisha sticker packs
Top 5 trail bike mods!
Pro tip: Get an pneumatic file. You can sharpen the stock pegs 3-4 times before you have to buy new ones.
good advice!
@@tonycstech never heard of an air file? You can get one at harbor freight.
@@DmenDuroRider Or just use a hand-file.
1. Light bar
2. Hand guards
3. Skid plate
4. Air filter
5. Foot pegs
Love the vids can you do a ATV accessories list
Definitely a seat cover you can find good grippy ones with ribs well under 100 bucks and just helps riding technique much better
Good list overall. Second to moving levers in or in addition you can put Teflon tape under the mount or leave them a hair loose. That way when they hit the perch can spin some as well.
I have the renthal twin wall bars on my Crf450r and they have never let me down
Great list and tip. Thanks for sharing and Happy Trails
Bark busters are number 1
Skid plate being a close 2nd. I made one for my old wr200 with sheet aluminum from a scrap yard and u-bolts. Hammer, grinder, drill, file and you're good to go for cheap.
Woods Rider here.
1. Skidplate
2. Cycra Pro Bends & Tusk Mounts
3. (On new KTMs) GRIP SEAT COVER
4. Bars
5. Used set of radiator brace/guards
Allie Bridge 1 1/8th bar mounts
Great video I am so glad I found your guys channel loved the 5miles of hell videos with cheap bikes.
Good advise on the tires. For smaller hands, get adjustable levers.
as always, clear explanation and packed of information..
again cool video with great tips guys!
Cheers
Skid plate
Radiator braces
Full wrap around handlebars.
Mousses or tubliss
Rear rotor guard
I would either do grips or footpegs (unless a tire is bad)
my 2002 yz426f is an Ebay built bike for like $300
new water pump, fork seals, frame guards, levers, brush guards ,new chain and sprockets, and graphics
she looks and rides like a caddy
I bought expensive levers and wrap around hand guards to protect them even tho they can bend backwards
what's the tire pressure for a motocross track like glen helen
Respect the tips ! From England 🇬🇧
Amazing video for the average rider the majority we dont have loads of cash to throw at are bikes
1) Works Connection Radiator Braces
2) Magnetic Oil Drain Bolt
3) Works Connection Holeshot Device
4) Pro Taper Wireless Hour Meter
5) Acerbis Footpeg Covers
* (Bonus) Skid Plate (if the bike doesn't come with one)
🤔 my top five would be hour meter, radiator braces, skid plate, grips and bars. For a new bike. For 50$ Air filter, grips, hour meter, bolt axle blocks and front steel braided brake line. Great video 🤘👍
Why a hour meter?
He should put some hand guard first! Then radiators protection , skid plate , better radiator tap, breaks disk protection
crf250 Honda all subjective . I almost can’t ride with hand guards myself
Nice video. Thank you for sharing.
Pretty good. Graphics, hydration pack, goggles, chain. Lots of 100 dollar purchases
My number 1 is a skid plate and #2 is extended tip rear brake lever
Can you do one for Husqvarna Fe250, please.
Awesome vid and edits and filming and bike and products
Best part is when he says he's a short rider at 5'7" and here I am 5'2" trying to put the kick stand back like a child on a bar stool -cries-, good video though!
Minds a crf150f and I’m trying to costom it like urs
"lock on grips = no wire"
Shows lock on grips with wire 😂🤣
No it doesn’t
Somewhere in the mix. Full wrap hand guards and a spark arrest to end cap if your bike isn’t already spark arrested maybe even an oversized tank
Tip for foot pegs: file them down when they wear out to sharpen them
Amazing list
One of the first things I buy are unbreakable levers
Can you do a video aimed towards the fmx guys on dirt bikes? :)
Ima need me one of these accs! ❤️🔥
$50 or less hour meter, grip tape, bar risers, sprockets to change the gear ratio, seat cover, and motion pro micro fork bleeders
A FMF exhaust if it didn’t already have one on it if I brought a bike used
First thing I bought when i got my son a new bike was an hour meter.
Leo Marquez wish I had one on my bike I have no idea how many hours are on my bike
Would the one size clamp fit my 2012 ktm 125 sx ? Also where can I buy it from if it will fit ?

1. Bars & grips
2. One piece bar mounts
3. Tyre/tyres
4. Skid plate
5. Gripper seat
Im only new to dirt bikes, but im getting the impression radiator guards are a good investment. Every bike i see seems to have smashed radiators
Well first I would do a skid plate because I ride more trails then I would say foot pegs for the next one I would say tires 4th and 5th would be chain and seat
That back fender had me trippin😂anyone else??
Why?
I run a stock kx450 and really unsure what bar I should get. There is so many different bends. I really don’t know where to start!
Try others bikes to feel the difference
U/hd tube f&r, skid plate, radiator braces, chain, bars
Holeshot device in youre Racing ✌🏻
Used bike, fluids, filter, tune-up. New bike, grips and an breakaway clutch lever with ez turn
go aluminum skid plate. The acerbis plastic does not hold up on rocky trail. Spent good $ on it and it let me down after a few rides. Dont get me wrong, I shop 100% of my parts from RMATV just saying its not worth the $ for the rocky stuff.
Grip donuts!!! Don't get blisters.
Can you suggest wrist guards? I've heard of people adjusting their levers in so they are closer to the grips? Can you do that with hydraulic levers?
Wrist guard? I'm assuming you're talking about a wrist brace? If that's the case, I have the Mobius X8 wrist brace and I really like it - Chase
What size are the handlebars you have with the odium podium flight ??
The bar I had on for this video was the Mcgrath bend. Pretty low and straight. Right now I'm using the new RC4 bar from ODI. I like it a little more. - Chase
Stickers are important they give more HP
Agreed.
I’m looking for mods for my dirt bike but I don’t know where to get it
Check out our site for your dirt bike parts and accessories!
www.rockymountainatvmc.com/
1. Skid plate
2. Hand guards
3.foot pegs (extra wide)
4. Rotor guards
5.2 finger levers
The first thing anyone should buy for a new or used bike is a factory/oem service manual.
A barrel of 110?
I would get pegs and tires and that bar mount how much is it
The mounts range from $85 to around $100 depending on what bike and size bars you have. You can check them out here:
Standard bars- www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/ride-engineering-one-piece-7-8%22-handlebar-mount-p
Oversized bars- www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/ride-engineering-one-piece-oversized-handlebar-mount-p
Hand guards?
I have the exact same seat cover 😂
Just bent my lever on mine should of watched this sooner
I just got your jack and I love it
That's awesome! Be sure to leave a review on the site.
What would you recommend for handle bars for a 6-5 guy?
Joy Trivia pro taper xr50 bars
Renthal Jimmy Button bend and use 1” bar risers you can find for pit bikes
1 handle bars 2skid plate 3 seat cover 4 grips 5 arc lever
Protection, protection, protection so I can ride harder and still make it back to the truck after a spill or clash with all the rocks of the Rockies!
Problem with bars is sometimes it takes weeks or months to know you don't like the bend
Premix Utah you should be able to feel pretty quickly if you’re comfortable or not... I’m talking 2-3 motos in 1 day and you should be pretty much used to it. Especially it if it’s a bend that suits the way you ride. Forcing yourself to feel comfortable on something you don’t like is the best way to either crash or add 5-10 seconds onto your lap time
Or you might like different bends on different bikes too. Tougher on vintage bikes too, I finally tried the Renthal vintage bend on my 77’ Husqvarna and I like it but on the Japanese bikes I like the early Cr Elsinore bend more 🤷🏻♂️
Protect your investment first, 1.skid plate. 2. hand guards. 3.rear disc guard 4. swing arm tab protector (swing arms are $$) 5. pipe guard if you believe in them, many don't. I wouldn't start with your top 4 because they are all comfort items. Nice to do eventually, but if you break the things you didn't at least try and protect, you're not going to care which bars, mount, grips or pegs you have. Like all list, it is subjective.
Buttery and Medium in the background 🤣
Where?
Is a bent rim causeing me to have flats every three days. Bought a used bike about two weeks ago with a bent rim. Rim has two broken spokes and been gets flats like crazy. Getting a new rim ordered pretty soon.
There could be something in the tire puncturing the tube or maybe your just pinching the tube
I would take the tire completely off the wheel and make sure you don't have something floating around the inside that could be puncturing your tube. Plus it's just not safe to ride with two broken spokes.
Rocky Mountain ATV MC. I had my cousin check it out bc he’s evening riding for a while now and since he looked at it I been good. Besides that three more days till I get my new rim ordered 😁. Is there some were I can txt y’all about my bike bc there’s a number of things I needa get fixed and dk what it really is
JOSH HERNANDEZ yea. I got a rim in and haven’t had a flat in a week now hopefully no more for a while
It was the broken spokes hitting the tube and puncturing it. He probably just fully removed the broken spokes and taped wholes. Then no flats at least. Still needed the wheel though..
The Tusk radiator cap with a temp gauge was my first buy.
Such a good idea.
How does it work
@@waylonwarneke4806 just replaces your old cap and has a gauge on it so you know when your engine is warm or too hot.
@@YZdude sorry I’m kinda dumb but do u mean your gas cap ?
@@waylonwarneke4806 radiator.
@@YZdude ok thanks
I would say a new carb would be nice
(if you bought the bike used)
What 125cc dirt bike do you suggest for a 12 year old? Budget: 1000$
your budget is too low, if you’re looking for a main brand bike like yamaha and honda them you’re gonna be looking at about 1700 dollars used on facebook marketplace or craigslist. I just got my first bike and it took a lot of searching. don’t quit looking good luck bro
For us carb dudes, JD Jetting Kit and R&D Flex Jet fuel screw.
yessir
Where is this track you guys are at?
This is OCA MX club in Ogden, Utah.
1 & 2. Tyres
3. O ring chain
4. Levers & grips
5. $100 of fuel
#1 Oil filter/oil change.. #2 air filter/air box cleaning spray.. #3 radiator flush kit & coolant change.. #4 new oil lines/fuel lines/& coolant lines. #5 spark plug/new battery... That is if your buying a used bike because it would go so much further instead of some new bars, grips, or a skid plate tbh...
That track looks like a blast, anyone know where it is?
priv so they could film at anytime i would guess
That’s the crazy nice track by coalville wanship
Chain guide , D.I.D Chain, zeta rubber killers, odi lock on grips , or #1 is a few lap dances at the shady lady...
1. Exhaust
2. Grips
3. Levers
4. Graphics kit
5. Gas cap
Based off buying new bike
Radiator guards
Skid plate
Grips
Chain
Acerbis frame guards
I'd get a £49.99 set of short levers off Amazon. Cos they sell my bike specific ones on there
Bars,grips,skidplate,seat cover and sprocket
Seat cover could definitely be on my list. Some of those things are like slip n' slides. Thanks for watching! - Chase
I love my geomax mx 33
Grips and braided brake lines
What’s the best dirtbike that won’t break my pocket for me to begin riding?
If you've never ridden before I'd go second hand 230cc trail bike. Cheap and reliable without the high maintenance intervals
Gripper seat cover
Most of those things I wouldn’t buy a bike if they didn’t have them already
Chase, where did you get your bike graphics?
I think this place called Rocky mountain
haha!
Attack graphics is our own graphics company here at Rocky Mountain! The kit i have on my bike is called the "alloy" kit. If you want mat instead of gloss, just call in a and request it.
@@rmatvmc Chase can I get a discount on number plate graphics! It's the final touch to my bike!
1. Rad Braces, 2. Skid plate, 3. Handlebar, 4.hour meter, 5. Gripper seat.
I like it! Especially that gripper seat.
@@rmatvmc yessir! i think that line up is solid. =)
I would get a nice air filter because it seems like every used bike I get has a air filter that has probably been neglected since the bike was made
I didn't even think about that! But that is really good advice. Thanks for watching! - Chase
That is a excellent choice!
First thing I bought for my bike was radiator braces lol
2tru it's going down inn brace the fall can't make it to far with out them so Ya one of my top choices as well
I should've now my left radiator looks like ) |
Tusk 1.8 radiator cap with temp gauge 25$
That's a good one!
If you got a air cooled bike I would recommend a oil cooler
