  • This video is for informational purposes only. It is based on our experience staying at this resort. Our opinions are our own. We pay for our trips and the resorts never know that we make videos about our experiences.
    Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo is in the Riviera Maya area of Mexico. This resort offers a nice blend of luxury, relaxation, and endless entertainment for the whole family. The Iberostar Resort Complex It is about a 40-45 minute drive south of the Cancun Airport. It is a Group of 5 Resorts that share a shopping plaza area, convention center, theater, as well as an 18 hole Golf Course. You won’t necessarily have access to everything, so you need to know which resort to book.
    In my opinion, the biggest draw to booking here is access to the water park and the beach area that Iberostar Lindo shares with Iberostar Maya but costs a bit less than staying at the Maya.
    Lindo has 7 restaurants and 11 bars plus the food, bevs, and nightclub/disco located in the central shopping plaza area of the complex.
    There is Star Camp for the kids 4-17 years, a Spa, nightly entertainment as well as a water park, pools, and a large beach.
    It is a nice option for families, couple, and singles. It is a clean, safe, and comfortable resort.

    It’s not Time Share. It’s a membership that allows as many visits as you please a year. We bought it and, up till now, it seems a great choice.

      Whichever name you want to call it; time share, vacation club, resort membership, vacation ownership, etc. They are giving you a sales 'pitch' to sell you a membership to vacation at their resorts. It was fairly aggressive, to us.
      I'm so glad to hear it is working for you. 😊 We don't like to be locked into only one resort brand for a multitude of reasons but if it is working well for you guys then that is awesome. 👍

    Hi Nancy, great tour as usual! Did you dance to the Iberostar song? Iberostar has so many resorts that you can make videos until you retire. take care

      Thank David! I did not dance to the song but maybe next time lol!
      This was our first foray into the Iberostar brand and we enjoyed it. They seem to have a good balance between quality and price (at the moment).
      They are opening a new 'Grand' in Peru that looks beautiful. I have added it to my ever growing list. 😁 Enjoy your weekend!

    It doesn't seem explicitly stated on the website but are the SPAs a pay per usage or included as part of being at the lindo?

    I stayed at Iberostar Quetzal in 2022 (loved it). Planning for 2024... would you recommend the Lindo over the Quetzal? Family of 4, kids age 15 and 13. Thanks!

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  Před 10 měsíci +2

      I haven't stayed at Quetzel yet so I can't compare but we have stayed at A LOT of all-inclusive resorts with our kids and I think Lindo or Maya are a great pick for teens, better than Beach and del Mar. They have the water park and Lindo and Maya are closest to the beach sports activities. The kids club was pretty big on sports for the older kids but there was cooking and environmental conservation activities if they want to mix things up. Sorry, I can't compare but we were impressed with Lindo and Maya so much so that it is on our list for a 3 generation family celebration.

      Quetzal is a grade less than lindo/maya. It's more old, less territory, mire animals but better beach/ calmer water

    We are planning on going soon. Would to say this is a resort that is pretty free to roam around without feeling like you can’t go in this section because it’s for supreme members? We want to feel like we are not closed off from anything. Thanks for the video.

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  Před 4 měsíci +2

      If you want the freedom to roam everywhere then staying at Maya gives you access to ALL of the family resorts, bars and restaurants.
      That being said, I would say that Lindo does not feel closed off at all. The only thing you can't access are a few of the Maya's restaurants and bars.
      Lindo gives you a good experience with lots to do while costing a bit less.
      You can access all of the pool areas and beach so there are not many places Lindo guests can't go.
      Have a great trip! 😊

    Hello, as a guest of the Lindo Hotel, can you use the large water park with the slides?

    Did you visit axel-Ha or Xcaret ? We see price has more than doubled since we were here many years ago so may pass on it.However I was wondering if those parks still require the environmentally safe sunscreens ( protect dolphins etc )

      Oops Xel-Ha

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  Před rokem +1

      I believe that they do require reef safe sunscreen now. It is much easier to find now than in past years.
      Yes, prices are higher than I have ever seen them. Clearly they are making up for the lost revenue through COVID. 🙄

    Great video but if i stay on paraiso lindo can I take photo's on kukulkan bar? Or That área its restricted for people Who are on paraiso lindo

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  Před rokem +3

      Thank you! The kulkulkan bar is at Paraiso Maya just past the check-in area. I believe it is technically only accessible for guests of Maya and Grand.
      They keep an eye on wristbands for access. I don't think anyone would care about taking pictures. You may only be noticed if you grab a drink from the bar. 😉 Good luck! I can send you some pics if you don't manage to get any. 😊

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Hi! Grand Paraiso guests can access all of the resorts.
      Paraiso Maya guests can access Maya plus Lindo, Beach & Del Mar
      Paraiso Lindo guests can access Lindo plus Beach and Del Mar.
      Paraiso Beach guests can access Beach and Del Mar
      Paraiso Del Mar guests can only access Del Mar.
      Hope that helps. 😊

    Are unopened water bottles avaialbe at the resort?

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  Před 7 dny

      There are a few but not many. They have glass bottles in your room and refill stations all around the resort to reduce plastic waste. I like to bring my own thermal one to reuse.😊

    Hey would you recommend this hotel, we have 1 year old kids? or do you have any other recommendation?

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Highly recommend! Book a room near the young's children's play area so you can enjoy the balcony and some bevys while your little one has a nap.
      I also really like Hotel Marina El Cid and Ventus El Cid. Two halves of the same resort. Also excellent family resorts. We took our kids there 4 times when they were little. 😊

      @@newtravelescapes Amazing. Thanks for a quick reply. How about these ones:
      Grand Sunset Princess
      Ocean Riviera
      Barcelo Maya
      We are aiming for these 4 (+ Iberostar Selection Paraiso), I'll also check other one you recommended!

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@lukarusovac my pleasure!
      For me, the Barcelo's are a bit too big but that is personal preference. Others in our group like to have lots to explore. ☺️
      I have heard very good things about Ocean Resorts. I haven't stayed at one yet but it is on my list. I have heard you get a great bang for your buck. 👍
      Grand Sunset, I haven't stayed at but it gets good reviews so that says a lot about how others feel about it.
      I enjoyed Iberostar Lindo because you can explore Del Mar and Beach if you want to but there is everything you need if you don't want to leave. Iberostar Maya is a bit of a step up from Lindo with the rooms but everything else is pretty much the same.
      Have fun exploring your options!! 😉
