  • Iberostar Riviera Maya | Lindo and Delmar
    We chose the Iberostar in Riviera Maya for our family vacation because we feel it has one of the best children's programs at an all-inclusive that we have experienced in our travels to multiple resorts in Riviera May, Mexico. Because this was a multigenerational vacation, we wanted to ensure that everyone had what they needed to experience a relaxing vacation, including comfortable accommodations, delicious food, and a variety of fun activities. So, after a short discussion, the Iberostar checked all of our boxes and won our vote.
    The resort is actually five resorts in one. The Delmar and Beach are the opening price points. The Lindo, where we stayed, is a step up with more amenities, such as the wave pool, waterslides, and lazy river. In addition, you receive more a la carte dinners included in your 7-night stay. The Maya has larger rooms and an elevator in the villas, and the Grand, which is adults-only, is the Iberostar's high end.
    I've included highlights of the resort, but there is so much more to see and do than what I can show you in 20+ minutes. Please see my blog post for more details. www.noshoesjusttravel.com/ibe...

    Great video. More informative then all the others I’ve seen on this resort. We’re staying there at the end of November. Is the night club open all night? And what was the seaweed situation like when you were there? Thanks 😊

      @noshoesjusttravelGO  Před rokem +2

      Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. We are up early enjoying walks on the beach and busy all day, so we never made it to the night club. 😁 When we were there, we didn’t have a problem with seaweed. It depends on the weather and currents. But, anytime there was seaweed, the resort was quick to clean it up. The beaches were great in my opinion. Enjoy your vacation!

    Hello. Loved your footage!. What does the late night look like there? Is there a bar or disco club open late? And is there food that I can grab late as well? I'm going with my hubby and another couple and we don't mind the kids, but we definitely want some adult fun and partying a little too.I'm about to make some decisions and this resort is one of my choices. Thanks 😊

    • @noshoesjusttravelGO
      @noshoesjusttravelGO  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you for the compliment! There is a disco located at the shopping mall. From what I’ve learned, it is now open, but it wasn’t when we were there in early February. There are shows in the theater every night. The bars are open too. The Star Cafe in the Lindo is open 24 hours so you can always grab a bite there if you are staying at Lindo or above. (Maya or Grand) The waterfall in the Lindo/Maya pool has a swim up bar underneath that is fun. That end of the pool is always hopping by midday. How late is late for you? We are always up by sunrise, so we were in bed by 10 most nights…so tired from all of the activity I guess.

    I noticed that one or two of the restaurants that you ate at are for the Selection Maya Suites (El Tapatio and El Rancho, the steakhouse). Did you have to pay extra to eat at those restaurants since you didn't stay at the Maya?

    • @noshoesjusttravelGO
      @noshoesjusttravelGO  Před rokem +1

      No they didn’t charge us extra. I don’t know if it was just how they were handling it at that time, or if those restaurants are now included in Lindo.

    Excellent info! We usually stay at either Bahia Principe Sian Kaan (adults only ) or B P Akumal but are very interested in a change. If you stay at Iberostar Maya or Grand do you have access to the other properties and how did like the room where you stayed? 🇨🇦

    • @noshoesjusttravelGO

    Which resort do you recommend in terms of being more quiet Lindo or Delmar? If you stay in Delmar can you walk inside Lindo and use their restaurants and pools? Thanks

    • @noshoesjusttravelGO
      @noshoesjusttravelGO  Před rokem

      In my experience, Delmar I has more quiet areas. If you like less activity in the pool, the upper end of the Delmar would be best. There is an area in the Delmar pool that is an island with Beds to relax in under flowering vines. If you stay at Delmar, you cannot use the Lindo pool and restaurants, but there are plenty in Delmar and Beach to enjoy.

    Thinking about taking my family here. Few questions, if you don't mind providing your input:
    1) if I stay in Del Mar, am I able to use the facilities and restaurants from other adjacent Iberostar resorts like the ones you've mentioned in this video. Any specific restaurants you would suggest?
    2) would you say it's a hike to get to the beach from Del Mar to the beach?
    3) how's the seafood selection - ceviche, crab, lobster, full shrimp or shrimp entrees (as in other than tacos)
    4) looks like plenty of lounges, any issues with getting them if you get there later
    5) I heard in some reviews - you are limited to 1 speciality restaurant per night of stay, is that accurate?
    6) any idea on premium club upgrades? Is that only for the private beach area or does it also give you access to top shelf liquor like a Don Julio for Tequila as example.
    Thanks in advance. Also, thanks for putting together this great insightful video

    • @noshoesjusttravelGO
      @noshoesjusttravelGO  Před 2 lety +1

      If you stay at the DelMar, you can only use the facilities there. All of the restaurants were good in my opinion. It depends on your taste. Some of the rooms at Delmar are closer to the lobby and others are closer to he beach. We like to walk, so it doesn’t seem like a hike to us. We don’t eat crab or lobster, but we felt the seafood we had there was very good. Especially the salmon. If you get to the pool late you may have more difficulty with the loungers. We never did, but we are early risers. We do not drink much, so I don’t recall the premium alcohol served there. I hope if you decide to go that you have a wonderful vacation!

      If you stay at Delmar or Beach, you can use those amenities only. If you stay in Lindo you can use those plus Delmar and Beach. Maya includes Lindo, Delmar, and Beach. If you stay and the Grand you can use the whole resort.

    • @noshoesjusttravelGO
      @noshoesjusttravelGO  Před 4 měsíci

      There are 5 resorts in 1, so the Lindo, Maya, and Grand resorts include room service, but the entry level price points, Beach and Del Mar, do not. While room service is nice, we’ve only used it a handful of times on our vacations to Riviera Maya…and we’ve been there more than 25 times. We always have more food available than we can possibly eat at the Iberostar, but if room service is important to you, I’d choose at least the next level up which is Lindo.

      The Barcelo in Riviera Maya has a nice beach. The adults only section beach was calm when we were there a few years ago in September/October but weather influences that. It’s hard to tell when the waves will be calmest.
