I guess that's always strategy related, but what I can tell you how I do it is: Once I have a trading pair where the market conditions are exactly where my strategy triggers, I enter the trade based on my rules. Once the position is BE, I start to look for the exact same market conditions on the lower timeframe, but with the target of my higher timeframe target. Key to this is to only add positions when all positions on this instrument are already "risk free". To be honest, I did this before watching trader toms psychology videos, but hearing the philosophy about it confirms what I always like what I was doing. See it like this. When you are long on a position and your trade is "risk free", whatever the market does, you get way less emotional, because the market is either going more in the direction for your target, or pulling pack and I look for the same entry technic just on the lower timeframe to add to my winning positions.
