i had the rxv-870 , its little brother.. mine was a beast in its day! man, i used that so much and used to shake the house.. still have it today but its retired to a rack stored in the basement, no longer used... the amp section is not up to par after being rebuilt many times...before that though, it was clean and powerful
Thanks for posting this. I just picked up a broken one for $20 yesterday, took about 2 hours to bring it back to 100%. Sounds great, excellent receiver.
I sold this one for $100 (ebay) but apparently UPS damaged it in the shipping. My first damaged item with UPS in abour 1200 shipments. It was double boxed too!!! Bummer. Enjoy that one! All the Yamaha's 70's thru 90's made in Japan sound great! I'll have this one back next week - if it's an easy fix I'll relist it as "repaired".
I just bought one on Craigslist in mint condition for What I believe is very fair price. This receiver is awesome. I have some Polk Audio RTi8 towers on it.
How come you didn’t give any specs on the receiver and it’s functionalities and the year it came out in whether it’s vintage or newer and then all the fun stuff instead of giving us audio sounds we really can’t hear if we don’t have headphones on just asking
Got one on market place for free. Just needed the LCD bulb replaced. Loving it 😍
I still have my 1070 paired up to a couple of Klipsch Chorus II's 'same era' hahaha great video! thanks for sharing! ✌

The Yamaha Receivers from the early 90s were built really good
