- Last summer Wolves embarked on an experiment to find undiscovered players, who may typically fall out of the system, who would get the opportunity to train with the Wolves under-21 squad during their US tour.
With some players having to pay to play or access coaching, Wolves invited a group of players to the Golden Chance trial in Phoenix, Arizona to be able to scout en masse, footballers from a wide variety of backgrounds, who they typically wouldn't be able to pick up through traditional recruitment.
In the second part of the trial, two of the most promising players were invited to be a part of our training camp to see how they matched up to the talent in a Premier League Academy.
There will be further opportunities for players in America to get the Golden Chance, with talent spotted in Chicago and Arizona joining up with the Wolves squad in the upcoming TST tournament! - Sport
They went to Seattle recently to get a closer look at Obed Vargas the #10 and Reed baker-whiting 17 year old midfielder both play for Seattle’s first team

Seems like the tournament is more focused on the young talent which is good too see, doubt the big names will get too much game time.

What Philly needs to do is just play football in Europe, whatever league whatever they he need to play if they really stand out they’ll quickly learn how physical it is, even a national league south team would take him

I like the insights of the video. So a striker, even if he is great at scoring, they also want him to be just as technical as the rest of the positions it seems. My kid is a 9 yr old striker (that's where his club plays him) but I'll make sure he develops technically. I can see how is hurts his technical development a bit due to his coaches always playing him at the 9. I wish they would play him in the middle some. But he's been the teams top goal scorer for 3 years in a row. But that won't be enough when he's say 16 yrs old if he wants to play pro.
But then again, someone like Jamie Vardy probably would not have been selected by these coaches either.

Yer I have this with my Son, he wants to be more involved, Number 9 at that age is exciting when you get the ball and score, but for long periods he is sat on the last man waiting for scraps. I "FINK" they aren't teaching a reasonable level of diction and pronunciation at the academy school. They may be telling parents "their son will not be a professional football player" but with the lack of language skills, and that in their own country, what career does Wolves expect them to fall back on?
