In todays chivalry 2 gameplay I am using the greatsword on the vanguard class and hitting a chivalry 2 world record! I am in a duo with emperor bubbles and we are running a 1 hour timer to see how many kills we can get in chivalry 2. Enjoy the high skill chivalry 2 pro gameplay.

People cheese catapult for 100 kill games, to me unless it is 100 melee your not a member of the exclusive century club
Question about countering a feinted overhead: when I counter an attack early and my opponent feints to overhead so I feint my counter to match the overhead, but I also attempt to side step the overhead with footwork, my opponent’s attack almost always lands. I’ll aim directly at the tip of their weapon (albeit from the side), but my counter doesn’t go off and I just get hit.
What am I doing wrong that is preventing my counter from working?
If it is a heavy your counter won’t line up, and will miss
Some advice from a long time player and knowledgeable programmer:
Latency can mean everything in those types of collisions, if the margin for error is within 200ms, you can have a situation where the server has already registered the other person's feint attack landing before it receives your counter-feint in response. If you're in motion that only adds to the possibility that what you're seeing is not exactly what the server is seeing. This is sort of a "favor the shooter" behavior, but not as explicit as in some games.
You can help mitigate this by trying to be on the offensive end of those interactions as much as possible, as well as leading your aim toward their movement direction slightly. This way you can predict where they might be on the serverside so they can't move "around" your parry hitbox before your client has updated their position.
Also, try to NEVER be in point-blank range. If you can stay at the very edge of your attack range, you are in the safest position to defend against their footwork, and it narrows the angle of attack significantly. When someone literally runs into me point blank, I always dodge and circle away to create space. It's extremely risky to be circling each other nose to nose. The only time I go point blank is if I decide to dodge towards them or past them with an attack in an attempt to do what you've described above.

Sounds like your getting toe dragged your timing is off also don’t side step just jump over the overhead (takes a lot of practice but worth it)
Oh man, when you said you wanted to kill your own teamate I thought about me. I'm new and went in with no knowledge of the game and pissed my guys off jumping in and swinging. Learn some edicate before you go in if you're new. I'm a little better now and stay out of the way and fight on the edges until I get better. I'm retired and don't have to work. I'll get better. Awsome video and gameplay. It's just so much fun to watch the better players smashing everyone, even me.

Hey Stridah I just watched your vid on why you play first person and you’ve convinced me to try it. I have like 60 hours on the game pretty much all third person experience. Do you think I’ll have difficulty switching to first person?

I think if you do it for a while and force through you will be ok
I played til lvl 50 in first and switched to third. Whenever I try to go back it’s so hard with the smaller like field of view bc your not used to having to stay extra aware of your surrounded as your used to seeing more in 3rd. Just my experience

I'm kind of losing it with this game. The mechanics and server lag is getting to be too much. It's gotten to the point that every time I fight an opponent with a 2 handed ax I die the exact same way. Let me know if anyone else is experiencing this. I'm very seasoned in this game and use a Falchion shield combo most times.
Opponent swings, I block.
I feint an attack and they block air.
Then they wind up for a power swing and I quickly make a stab at their unarmored unprotected chest since their weapon is in full windup.
My strike gets magically blocked and I don't even interrupt their attack and I die.
I just can't with that.
I understand but still love the game, I take breaks for other games
